POLYSACCHARIDE DERIVATIVES FOR DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed herein are detergent compositions that comprise at least one (i) glucan derivative and/or (ii) oxidized polysaccharide derivative. A glucan derivative of (i) can be substituted with at least one organic group that comprises a carboxylic acid group or a sulfonate group, and the degree of substitution (DoS) of the glucan derivative with the organic group can be about 0.1 to about 3.0. An oxidized polysaccharide derivative of (ii) can be produced by contacting a polysaccharide derivative under aqueous conditions with at least one agent that is capable of oxidizing the polysaccharide derivative. The polysaccharide derivative for oxidation has a degree of substitution (DoS) up to about 3.0 with at least one organic group. Further disclosed are various applications and products employing detergent compositions.
CHLORINE DIOXIDE DISINFECTING CLOTH
The invention relates to highly effective disinfecting or sterilising cloths with chlorine dioxide as the main active ingredient. For this, the chlorine dioxide is only generated shortly before use by bringing a cloth impregnated with a chlorite or chlorate salt in contact with a clearly defined amount of a suitable activation agent that is fluid or dissolved or admixed in a fluid, and prepackaged as a single dose, for the generation of chlorine dioxide. In a preferred embodiment, the impregnated cloth and the activation fluid are packaged in a common packaging unit and the activation occurs by breaking through a barrier separating the cloth or the cloths and the activation fluid. In a further preferred embodiment, the packaging is a moulded part having two packaging spaces separated from one another by removable barriers, which can be converted into a moulded part with only one chamber via simple pressure in one direction. The activation fluid or the disinfecting cloth can contain further substances, such as the pH-value-controlling substances, surfactants, guanidine derivatives, aldehydes, phenoxyethanols, phosphate esters, alcohols, sulfoxides, etc. Preferably, the disinfecting cloth according to the invention is used for disinfecting and/or sterilising medical instruments and/or medical products and/or surfaces.
LAUNDRY COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a laundry composition for the removal of stains, which comprises at least one bleaching agent, at least one bleach activator, and a dye transfer inhibitor system comprising a copolymer of 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone and 1-vinylim-idazole, and a homopolymer of 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone: wherein the weight ratio between the copolymer of 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone and 1-vinylimidazole and the homopolymer of 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone is of between 1:1 to 5:1. It also relates to a method of washing a garment using the laundry composition and to the use of the laundry composition for the removal of stains from a garment and dye transfer reduction or inhibition from a garment.
Solid laundry detergent for restaurant soils
The invention relates to solid detergents for cleaning restaurant soils and methods of making and using the same. Embodiments of the invention can include solid cleaning compositions having an alkalinity source comprising an alkali metal carbonate, a surfactant system comprising an anionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant, a water conditioning agent, and water. Embodiments of the invention can have a pH between about 7 and about 11, and are suitable for removing restaurant soils, including, synthetic grease, animal grease, and proteinaceous soils.
METHOD OF WASHING TEXTILE ARTICLES
The present invention relates to a method of washing textile articles that can be carried out, for example, in a continuous batch tunnel washer. Embodiments of the present method can include treating the textile with an aqueous composition including cleaning agent and halogen-containing bleaching agent for a time sufficient to remove soil from the textile and contacting the halogen-treated textile with an aqueous composition including a peroxycarboxylic acid. The concentration of halogen after the sufficient time can be at a level that does not result in adverse interaction between the halogen-containing bleaching agent and the peroxycarboxylic acid.
Embodiments of the present method can clean textiles with the results of more effective stain removal and less waste through destruction of the textile article. Further, the present invention can clean a textile contacted soiled by a composition including chlorhexidine gluconate without resulting staining of the textile, which staining could have been permanent.
Releasable Encapsulation Compositions
A releasable encapsulation composition is described. The composition comprises a plurality of capsules, each capsule comprising an amphiphilic material encapsulating a substance, such as an active ingredient. The substance is releasable from encapsulation by a change in the amphiphilic material triggered by a change in the environment around the capsule.
STABLE BLEACHING COMPOSITION
This invention relates to a bleaching composition comprising hypochlorite-based bleach particles and moisture-sensitive particles encapsulating an oil within starch or starch-derivative matrix, the composition being surprisingly stable toward degradation of the starch upon storage.
OXIDIZED POLYSACCHARIDE DERIVATIVES
Disclosed herein are compositions that comprise at least one oxidized polysaccharide derivative. Such an oxidized polysaccharide derivative can be produced by contacting a polysaccharide derivative under aqueous conditions with at least one agent that is capable of oxidizing the polysaccharide derivative. The polysaccharide derivative for oxidation has a degree of substitution (DoS) up to about 3.0 with at least one organic group. Further disclosed are methods of producing oxidized polysaccharide derivatives, as well as their use in various applications and products.
POWDERED DETERGENT COMPOSITION
The present disclosure provides a detergent composition comprising soda ash, an acid, a fatty alcohol ethoxylate, an anionic surfactant, a detergent polymer, and a binder selected from a sugar, a starch, a polyol, and any combination thereof, wherein the composition is in the form of a powder. The composition can further comprise additional components, such as a bleaching agent, a bleach activator, and at least one enzyme. The detergent composition can be provided in the form of a compressed shape, such as a tablet.
Automatic dishwashing method
A method of cleaning soiled ware in a dishwasher, the method having the step of delivering a phosphate-free cleaning composition using a multi-dosing system, the composition comprising bleach, metal bleach catalyst and a complexing agent and wherein the complexing agent is slowly released as compared to the bleach catalyst.
