Lauric ester compositions
Provided are compositions containing alkyl esters derived from triglyceride oils produced from genetically engineered microalgae. Specific embodiments relate to esters derived from oils with high C10-C12 fatty acid profile. Compositions comprising the esters include cleaning products, completion fluids, work-over fluids, drilling fluids, metal working fluids, lubricants, paints, and inks.
Solvent composition, cleaning method, method for producing substrate with coating film, and heat transfer fluid
To provide a solvent composition in which various organic substances are soluble, and which has no adverse effect on global environment. A solvent composition comprising 1-chloro-2,3,3,4,4,5,5-heptafluoro-1-pentene, a cleaning method using the solvent composition, a method for producing a substrate with a coating film, and a heat transfer fluid.
Enhancement of the sporicidal efficacy of alcohol and peroxide compositions
The present invention relates to a liquid composition comprising: a) at least one alcohol; b) at least one hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon mixture; c) at least one peroxide agent; d) water. The compositions of the invention possess antimicrobial and enhanced sporicidal properties.

SUPERCRITICAL Y-GRADE NGL
Use of supercritical Y-grade natural gas liquids for a variety of processes and across numerous industrial applications is described herein. The low viscosity, high density, and tunable solvent properties of supercritical Y-grade natural gas liquids are useful for example in enhanced reservoir recovery and treatment, control of chemical reactions and processes, and/or single or two-phase separations.

Method and apparatus for cleaning railroad tank cars
A blend of aliphatic hydrocarbons and polyglycol ether(s) is used in a process for cleaning railroad tank cars that have been gravity drained of hydrocarbon fluids but may be left with a residuum containing heavy hydrocarbons, paraffin and noxious gas. A simple recirculation system is established between the chemical source, the contaminated railcar, canister filters and back to the chemical source. Contaminates are removed from the cleaning chemical by the filters and there is no water or steam used which might otherwise damage the railcar.
Cleaning composition having high self-adhesion and providing residual benefits
A composition for treating a hard surface. The composition has: (a) at least one adhesion promoter; (b) at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of: anionic, non-ionic, cationic, amphoteric, zwitterionic, and combinations thereof; (c) mineral oil; (d) water; (e) optionally, at least one solvent; and wherein the composition is self-adhering upon application to a surface to be treated, and wherein the composition provides a wet film to said surface when water passes over said composition and surface.
PURGING AGENT
A purging agent that has excellent purging performance without generation of aggregate is disclosed as a purging agent used in a purging operation where a resin to be processed contains a polar group-containing thermoplastic resin. This purging agent contain a hydrocarbon-based resin, and at least one metal salt among an alkaline metal salt and alkaline earth metal salt, has a water content of 0.15% by weight or less, and includes 0.1 to 20% by weight of the metal salt expressed as the metal relative to the hydrocarbon-based resin.
