A soap melting assembly includes a chest that is comprised of a microwave safe material thereby facilitating the chest to be heated in a microwave oven. A lid is hingedly coupled to the chest for closing the chest and the lid is comprised of a microwave safe material. A drawer is slidably positioned in the lid and the drawer is comprised of a microwave safe material. A block is stored in the drawer and the block is comprised of glass. The block is removable from the drawer and positioned on the plurality of soap slivers when the chest becomes filled with the soap slivers. Thus, the block compresses the soap slivers into a single bar when the chest and the soap slivers are heated in the microwave oven.

The present invention comprises a soap which does not disengage from the user while in use and provides a means to hang the soap while not in use. Specifically, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a semiflexible continuous mechanical structure extends above a surface of a soap bar just enough to create an open area through which the user's finger may be removably inserted whereby the bottom portion of the structure is embedded within the body of soap 12, such that, when, in use, a user's finger may be inserted into the top portion of the structure, where it will rest atop the top surface of the soap and the bottom portion of the structure will remain substantially embedded in the soap as it dissolves. The top portion of the structure also provides a means to hang the soap while not in use.

CLEANSING COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING A FATTY ACID AND SOAP MIXTURE AND METHOD FOR MAKING A CLEANSING BAR COMPRISING SAID MIXTURE

A cleansing composition includes 25% to 35% by weight of a surfactant, 1.5% to 5% by weight of a co-surfactant, 5% to 9% by weight of water; and 50% to 60% by weight of a fatty acid and soap mixture, wherein the fatty acid to soap ratio is 2.3:1 to 1.8:1. A method of making cleansing bars includes heating the cleansing composition to a temperature sufficient to provide a molten composition, cooling the molten composition to form flakes and/or chips, refining the flakes and/or chips to form billets, and stamping and/or cutting the billets to form the cleansing bars. Another method of making cleansing bars includes heating the cleansing composition to a temperature sufficient to provide a molten composition, pouring the molten composition into a mold, cooling the molten composition until the cleansing bars are formed, and removing the cleansing bars from the mold.
