Multi-stable compliant-mechanism mattress for bed sore prevention
A pressure sore prevention mattress is provided alternating pressure points on the body of an occupant that is easily transformable between two stable configurations. The four-layer mattress construction has a top foam pad, a webbing layer, a dynamic layer of deformable panels trapezoid-shaped four-bar mechanisms that deform to produce an undulating pattern of peaks, and a base. Panel geometry can determine peak height. The mattress has a spatially hollow geometry that allows natural air convection through the breathable top foam pad to enable drying of moisture as well as the use of forced air convective drying or cooling. The mattress can be transformed from one configuration to the other while the occupant is on the mattress.
Tool for installing fitted bed sheets
The tool for installing fitted bed sheets is an apparatus that facilitates the wrapping of a bed sheet around a corner of a mattress with minimal effort. The apparatus serves as an extension of the user's hand and applies the necessary force onto the elastic band of the bed sheet in the correct direction. The apparatus includes a handle, a sheet-corner brace, a first anchor, a second anchor, a sheet-pressing panel, and a tucking lip. The tucking lip is connected adjacent to the first brace end of the sheet-corner brace and the sheet-pressing panel is connected adjacent to the second brace end of the sheet-corner brace. The handle is connected onto the sheet-pressing panel, opposite to the sheet-corner brace. The first anchor is connected adjacent to the sheet-corner brace. The second anchor is connected adjacent to the sheet-corner brace, opposite to the first anchor.
DEVICE FOR MAKING BED
Device for making bed, which device comprises four parts, which parts are configured to be fixed at the corner areas of a mattress of the bed, wherein each of the parts of the device comprise an upper section with a surface configured to be placed against an upper surface of the mattress and a lower section with a surface configured to be placed against a lower surface of the mattress, and a fixing device for fixing a sheet to the part, which fixing device is connected to the part with a resilient biasing device, which biasing device allows the fixing means to be moved away from the part and to return to the part once released.
Pillowcase changing device
A pillowcase changing device for facilitating the changing of pillowcases includes a pair of grabbers. Each grabber comprises a frame. A field is coupled to and extends between an inner perimeter of the frame. A plurality of tines and a handle are coupled to and extend from an outer perimeter of the frame. The handle is positioned on the frame such that the handle is configured to be grasped in a hand of a user. The pair of grabbers is configured to position singly adjacent to a top face and a bottom face of a pillow. The handles are positioned on the frames such that the handles are positioned to motivate the frames into a substantially closed configuration. The pillow is compressed between the pair of grabbers such that respective tines are interlockingly positioned. The pillow is insertable into and extractable from a pillowcase.
Pillow napkin dispensing system and method
A dispenser for pillow napkins is provided that includes a carton having a bottom panel, opposite left and right panels extending vertically from the bottom panel, opposite front and back panels positioned between the left and right panels and extending vertically from the bottom panel, and a top panel extending parallel to the bottom panel. Left and right supports are positioned within a cavity of the carton. A plurality of pillow napkins are wound about a spool. The spool is positioned in the cavity such that the spool rotatably engages the left and right supports and the pillow napkins are spaced apart from the top and bottom panels. Methods of use are provided.

The present invention relates to adjustable base assemblies, systems, and related methods. In particular, the present invention relates to adjustable base assemblies, systems, and related methods that make use of an upper body frame and a seat frame that move relative to a leg frame to improve the contour of a mattress positioned on the adjustable base assemblies.
Paper toweling or tissue dispensing apparatus including roll overspin control
Dispenser apparatus for holding a roll of paper toweling or tissue sheet material and dispensing the sheet material, the apparatus including structure exerting drag forces on the roll to reduce overspin when pulling forces on the sheet material causing dispensing have been terminated.
Active Mattress Spinner
A device is disclosed for facilitating rotation of a mattress in a horizontal plane carried by a box spring or a platform. In order to facilitate rotation, slick surfaces between the mattress and the box spring or platform are selectively placed in contact in order to reduce the normal friction therebetween. The slick surfaces may be provided by two (2) separate covers; one cover for the mattress and one cover for the box spring or platform. A first cover is provided with a slick and non-slick surface. In order to further facilitate rotation, a second cover includes a slick surface on one side and forms part of a levitation device. The other side of the second cover may be formed with a slick or a non-slick surface. The levitation device creates an air cushion between the mattress and the box spring under the influence of an air supply which lifts the mattress and allows the mattress to be rotated in a horizontal plane virtually effortlessly. Once the mattress has been rotated to the desired position, the air supply is removed and the first cover is attached to the underside of the mattress so that its non-slick side is in contact with the box spring or platform or bed skirt and its slick side is in contact with the slick side of the other cover and the levitation device defining a normal mode of operation. In a rotate mode of operation, the first cover is attached to the box spring or platform so that its non-slick surface is in contact therewith. Alternatively, the first cover may be integrally incorporated into the box spring or a slick surface may be integrally formed on the platform that forms part of the platform bed. In this embodiment, in order to reduce movement of the mattress with respect to the box spring or platform, the mattress is secured relative to the box spring or platform by removable fasteners in a normal mode of operation. In yet another alternate embodiment of the invention, a portion of the levitation device may be built into the mattress.
Easy Change Mattress Sheet Attachment System
An example easy change mattress sheet attachment system includes a bed sheet having four sewn-on fabric casings in an arch shape and a cord inserted through the casings forming a set of accessible sections of drawstring at exposed between-casing cord regions at four corners, and a bottom mat having means for trapping drawstrings at four corners. After having installed the bottom mat under the mattress, one can install and remove the top sheet onto and from the mattress without having to lift up the mattress. To install the top sheet, first put the top sheet on the mattress, then execute drawstring-trapping maneuvers at four bed corners. To remove the top sheet, detach the engaged drawstrings at four bed corners.
Inflatable bed mattress lifts
An embodiment provides an inflatable bed mattress lift. In an embodiment, six extensions extend from a central portion and may be inflated to provide predetermined tuck points for securing bedding material to the bed mattress. The inflatable bed mattress lift and extensions thereof may be of a size to match a predetermined mattress size. The inflatable bed mattress lift may include more than six extensions, e.g., eight extensions. The extensions may be shaped or angled at terminal ends to match a rectangular dimension of an overlying bed mattress. Other aspects are described and claimed.
