Anionic surfactants and washing agents containing said surfactants
Surfactants of general formula (I), in which R.sup.1 denotes a linear or branched alkyl residue having 6 to 20, and in particular 8 to 14 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 denotes H or CH.sub.3, and M denotes hydrogen, an alkali metal or an N.sup.+R.sup.3R.sup.4R.sup.5 grouping, in which R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5, independently of one another, denote hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a hydroxyalkyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atom, can be easily incorporated into washing or cleaning agents, have outstanding application-related properties, and can be produced based on renewable resources.
SOLID CONTROLLED RELEASE CARBONATE DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS
Solid detergent compositions for dishwashing or warewashing compositions and applications of use are disclosed. In particular, solid carbonate-based compositions that do not require a traditional dispenser for controlled rate of release over multiple cycles are disclosed. Compositions, methods of employ and cleaning using the same are disclosed.
DETERGENT SOLID COMPOSITION COMPRISING AMINOPOLYCARBOXYLATE AND INORGANIC ACID
A solid composition comprising: a) from 15 to 90 wt. %, based on the total weight of the solid composition, free acid equivalent of aminopolycarboxylate; and b) from 1 to 25 wt. %, based on the total weight of the solid composition, free acid equivalent of inorganic acid; and c) from 2 to 30 wt. %, based on the total weight of the solid composition, of water; and wherein the pH of a solution made by dissolving the solid in water at 1 wt. % is at least 5.0 as measured at 25 degrees Celsius; and wherein the pH of a solution made by dissolving the solid in water in a 1:1: weight ratio is at most 10 as measured at 25 degrees Celsius, wherein at least 10 wt. % of the ingredient a), based on the total weight of the ingredient a) is non-crystalline; and wherein at least 10 wt. % of ingredient b), based on the total weight of the ingredient b) is non-crystalline.
METHODS OF LAUNDERING STITCHBONDED NONWOVEN TOWELS USING A SOIL RELEASE POLYMER
A method of laundering a soiled stitchbonded nonwoven towel, to provide hygienically-clean, odor-free towels having a non-durable soil release polymer agents on the fabrics and stitching. The method has a step of washing soiled stitchbonded nonwoven towels in a first aqueous wash solution formed from a first wash composition comprising a surfactant, a builder, an alkalinity source, and a soil release polymer, at a first alkaline pH, and at a first wash temperature sufficient to remove soil on the towels without redeposition of the soil back onto the towels or into the laundry machine once the residual wash solution is drained. The method also has a step of treating the washed towels in a treatment solution formed from a post-wash composition comprising a soil release polymer agent, at a temperature and pH sufficient to aid in exhausting soil release polymer from the treatment solution and onto the towels or fabrics.
Solid controlled release caustic detergent compositions
Solid detergent compositions for dishwashing or warewashing compositions and applications of use are disclosed. In particular, solid caustic-based compositions that do not require a traditional dispenser for controlled rate of release over multiple cycles are disclosed. Compositions, methods of employ and cleaning using the same are disclosed.
AUTOMATIC DISHWASHING DETERGENT COMPOSITION
An automatic dishwashing cleaning composition comprising: a) a mixed builder system comprising soluble builder and crystalline silicate wherein the soluble builder comprises a complexing agent, a phosphonate and a dispersant polymer and wherein the level of each soluble builder in the composition is: a1) from 15% to 40% by weight of the composition of the complexing agent; a2) from 2% to 7% by weight of the composition of the phosphonate; and a3) from 1% to 7% by weight of the composition of the dispersant polymer wherein the soluble builder and the crystalline silicate are in a weight ratio of from 8:1 to 15:1 b) a bleaching system comprising bleach, a bleach catalyst and a bleach activator; and c) from 0% to 20% by weight of the composition of carbonate.
SHAPED DETERGENT PRODUCT COMPRISING AMINOPOLYCARBOXYLATE
A shaped detergent product comprising 10 to 100 wt. % of a first solid phase and 0 to 90 wt. % of one or more other phases, said first solid phase comprising: a) non-crystalline chiral aminopolycarboxylate; b) non-crystalline organic acid other than component a); c) at most 30 wt. % water; d) at most 50 wt. % of non-crystalline water-soluble component other than component a) or component b); e) at most 20 wt. % of homogeneously dispersed crystalline material; wherein the combination of the components a), b) and c) is present in the first solid phase in a concentration of at least 35 wt. % of the total weight of said solid phase; and wherein components a), b) and c) are present in the solid phase in a ratio of from 25 to 88 parts by weight of free acid equivalent of component a): from 10 to 60 parts by weight of free acid equivalent of component b) : from 2 to 30 parts by weight of component c); and wherein the shaped detergent product comprises at least 0.5 wt. % surfactant.
