Article and methods to determine efficacy of disinfection process
An article is provided. The article comprises a nonwoven substrate having a copolymer grafted thereto, and a dried coating adhered to the substrate. The copolymer comprises interpolymerized monomer units of a quaternary ammonium-containing ligand monomer, an amide monomer, and an oxy monomer. The coating comprises a plurality of test microorganisms. Optionally, the coating further comprises a water-soluble or water-dispersible polymeric binding agent. A process challenge device comprising a body having a hollow channel with said article fixed disposed therein is also provided. Methods of using the article or the process challenge device for determining the efficacy of a disinfection process are also provided.
Beverage can sanitizer
A unitary, single-use, sanitary sterilizing wipe for a beverage can. It has a number of can wiping interfaces incorporated into its design that matingly conforms to a standard beverage can, and uses a natural sterilizing fluid that is frictionally wiped onto the can's outer surfaces before drinking from the can. It may be used anywhere by opening the polymer seal, removing the wipe, placing it on the top of a beverage can and twisting it under pressure to sterilize the can.
Pre-Saturated Disinfecting Disposable Microfiber Wipes
A pre-saturated disposable disinfecting wipe may include a microfiber cloth. The microfiber cloth may include a low weight substrate having a first face and an opposed second face, and microfiber yarn attached to the low weight substrate in a plurality of parallel rows of stitches. The pre-saturated disposable disinfecting wipe further includes a disinfecting formulation saturated in the microfiber cloth. The pre-saturated disposable disinfecting wipe may have a single-touch two-minute wetness coverage of more than 100 in.sup.2. A method of manufacturing a pre-saturated disposable disinfecting wipe may include saturating, with a disinfecting formulation, a microfiber cloth.
Quat-Based Compostable and Biodegradable Premoistened Cleaning and Disinfecting Wipes System
Pre-dosed wipes and packaged systems of such wipes including a nonwoven substrate formed from renewable natural plant-based fibers or derivatives of such fibers. The pre-dosed wipe as a whole meets applicable biodegradability/compostability standards (e.g., ASTM D6400, EN13432 or the like). The wipe may be a sanitizing or disinfecting wipe, including a quaternary ammonium compound as an antimicrobial agent in the composition with which the substrate is dosed. The composition may also include water and a surfactant. The wipe may be substantially void of thermoplastic fibers, such as PE, PP, PET, as well as so-called biodegradable polyesters and the like (e.g., PHA, PLA, PVOH). The nonwoven substrate may be formed by any of various techniques, an example of which is spunlace. The formulation may have a pH of at least 5 (e.g., 6 to 8), to maintain tensile strength of the natural plant-based substrate.
Devices, compositions, and methods for use in surface decontamination
Provided are devices, compositions, and methods for surface disinfection and decontamination; the devices generally adapted to contain a single or multi-component indicator composition, and optionally a disinfectant composition, and to dispense the indicator composition and optional disinfectant composition to a disinfectant solution, a surface, or a disinfectant article upon actuation of the device; also provided is an article of manufacture in the form of a removable cartridge adapted to fit a device described here, which may be pre-filled with a single or multi-component indicator composition as described here, and/or with a disinfectant composition, and one or more optional additives.

Vegetable paper comprising fibres of a plant
The invention relates to a vegetable paper comprising fibres of a plant that has undergone extraction in a solvent.
READY TO USE CLEANER/DISINFECTANT WIPE FOR CLEANING MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS
A single-step absorbent wipe for cleaning and disinfecting medical instruments includes various active ingredients as well as compounds that increase the efficacy profile of the product against various organisms, improve the buffering capacity of the formulation, enhance the antimicrobial efficacy against mycobacteria, increases the wetting and cleaning profile of the formulation, as well as adjusts the pH thereof. The disinfectant wipe provides a procedure to suitably clean and intermediate level disinfect medical instruments that are heat liable as well as non-submersible.
Cleaning wipes with particular lotion retention and efficacy characteristics
Pre-moistened wipes that include one or more characteristics correlated to desired properties, such as high durability, mileage, cleaning composition retention, efficacy, or the like are described. Pulp substrates typically include an anionic charge, which can result in binding or retention of a cationic biocide such as a quaternary ammonium compound while the remainder of the composition is released from the wipe (e.g., through squeezing, wiping or other compression). The present wipes are specifically tailored to release at least 20% of the quaternary ammonium compound to a target surface, and exhibit at least a 3-log reduction in Staphylococcus aureus population within about 10 seconds to 5 minutes. Such release and efficacy is achieved without the presence of any cationic biocide release agent (e.g., latex or a cationic salt) included in the cleaning composition or elsewhere within the pre-loaded disinfecting wipe.
DRY WIPE, A BIODEGRADABLE PACKAGING CONTAINING THE DRY WIPE, AN ARRANGEMENT AND A PROCESS FOR PROVIDING A WET WIPE
The present invention relates to a dry wipe, a biodegradable packaging containing the dry wipe, an arrangement comprising the dry wipe and a dispenser container, and a process for providing a wet wipe. The dry wipe comprises a wipe substrate impregnated with at least one additive to be activated by addition of water, wherein the at least one additive is selected from the group consisting of a biocide, a surfactant and a care product, wherein the wipe substrate is configured for allowing a distribution of liquid, even when the dry wipe is stacked in a dispenser container.
