Systems and Methods for Aseptic Sampling
A product and method for sampling cells from a bioreactor, for the purposes of determine the cell count or to remove a sample and retain sterility of the sample for quality control (OC) assessment. More specifically, a product and a method for sampling of cells during a cell expansion in a bioreactor using vacuum tubes.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONDITIONING OF ENGINEERED TISSUES
A system and method for conditioning a tissue are provided. The system includes a substrate, a plurality of microwells formed in the substrate, and a microsphere associated with each of the plurality of microwells. The system also includes a pair of flexible pillars within each of the plurality of microwells. Each flexible pillar includes a first end bonded to a respective microwell and at least one flexible pillar has a second end bonded to the microsphere. The flexible pillars are configured to deflect when exposed to a magnetic field to controllably stretch microtissue spanning the flexible pillars.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, KITS AND METHODS FOR SEEDING CELLS OR SETS OF MOLECULES IN AN ARRAY ON A SUBSTRATE
The present disclosure provides systems, devices and methods for seeding cells or sets of molecules on a substrate by utilizing a seeding mesh, to obtain an essentially homogenous patterned seeding of the cells or sets of molecules on the mesh.
HIGH THROUGHPUT PHOTOBIOREACTOR
Provided is a high throughput photobioreactor. The high throughput photobioreactor includes: a chamber; a plate installed in the chamber and mounted with a plurality of wells; a plurality of light sources installed in the chamber and irradiating light toward the plate; a light quantity controller positioned on an upper part of the plate to make quantities of light irradiated to the plurality of wells different; and a temperature controller controlling a temperature of the plate.
4D-perfused tumoroid-on-a-chip platform for personalized cancer treatment applications
A 4D-perfused tumoroid-on-a-chip platform used in personalized cancer treatment. The platform includes a plate with a plurality of bottomless wells that resides atop a microfluidic channel layer, which in turn resides atop a surface acoustic wave (SAW) based sensor layer that is capable of measuring potential pH values of fluids disposed within the platform. The microfluidic channel layer includes a plurality of bioreactors, with each bioreactor including an inlet well, a culture well, and an outlet well. The inlet well, culture well, and outlet well form a closed system via fluid conduits spanning from the inlet well to the culture well, as well as from the culture well to the outlet well. Due to the fluid flow from the plate to the chip, and from the inlet well to the outlet well on the chip through the culture well, target cell (tumoroid) growth is promoted within the culture well.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING TISSUE
A transfer device designed to extract an amorphous or semi-solid structure, tissue, or construct from supporting media while maintaining the spatial integrity/organizational architecture thereof. The transfer device can include a controller, an actuator assembly, a plunger, and a needle. The controller can move the transfer device and the plunger independently.
CELL CULTURE APPARATUS
The invention relates to a cell culture apparatus for cultivating cell spheroids, comprising at least one compartment having n compartment walls which define a compartment base area and a volume V.sub.K above the compartment base area and a multiplicity of microwells having p top edges and a volume V.sub.M, wherein the microwells are arranged in the compartment base area such that the compartment base area outside the microwells merely has inclined surfaces, the number of microwells is chosen such that the entire compartment base area is covered with microwells, all the microwells have the same volume VM and the microwells have the shape of a pyramid or a cone having a rounded tip for accommodation of cells and additionally rounded edges between the tip and the base of the pyramid or the cone.
MONOLAYER OF PBMCS OR BONE-MARROW CELLS AND USES THEREOF
The invention relates to peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) monolayers or bone-marrow cell monolayers and methods for its culture and corresponding uses of said monolayers. The present invention also relates, in some aspects, to screening methods comprising the PBMC monolayer or bone-marrow cell monolayer of the invention for determination of response or lack of response of a disease to a therapeutic agent and/or drug screening methods. In some aspects, the invention further relates to methods for diagnosing a disease or predisposition to a disease in a PBMC donor or bone-marrow cell donor comprising the PBMCs/bone-marrow cells cultured according to the method of the invention and/or to methods for determining whether the disease is likely to respond or is responsive to treatment with a therapeutic agent.
