Bioreactor system for engineering tissues
A bioreactor is provided that permits engineering of multiple different tissues. The bioreactor has a series of flow paths that permit application of tissue-specific media while simultaneously innervating the various different tissues with a common media. The flow paths for the various medias are designed to prevent mixing of the various media as they simultaneously innervate the tissue.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BIOPROCESSING
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for bioprocessing. The systems and methods can be implemented using a chip (solid support comprising a bioprocessing chamber). The bioprocessing chamber can be fluidically connected to a feeding input channel. The chip can permit a fluid to flow from the feeding input channel through the bioprocessing chamber for cell seeding, perfusion, and/or expansion. The bioprocessing chamber can be in fluidic communication with a collection output. The cells can be harvested from the bioprocessing chamber through the collection output.
Sample image management system and sample image management program
Provided is a sample image management system that uses a cell culture vessel including a plurality of microwells and a plurality of first identifiers provided to the respective microwells in pairs. The sample image management system analyzes, in an enlarged sample image including a pair of the first identifier and the microwell, the microwell and the first identifier, and associates at least position information on the microwell with the enlarged sample image.
Microorganism inoculation device
Disclosed is a microorganism inoculation device, which comprises a workbench, wherein support columns are provided on the upper surface of the workbench, a limiting plate is provided in the middle part of the supporting column, an injection head is provided in the middle part of the limiting plate, an air cylinder is provided in the middle part of the lower surface of the workbench, a piston rod of the air cylinder is fixedly connected with the middle part of the upper surface of a lifting plate, guide rods are provided on the upper surface of the lifting plate, the upper end of the guide rod is fixedly connected with a tray, the left and right sides of the upper surface of the tray are fixedly connected with the lower part of a fixed bracket, the middle part of the injection head is slidably connected with the limiting plate.
Microplate-based apparatus for measuring cell metabolism
A microplate-based apparatus for measuring cell metabolism is provided. The apparatus is capable of providing automation of all procedures, ranging from drug injection into each well of a microplate to the measurement of dissolved-oxygen (DO) concentration and hydrogen ion concentration.
PERFUSION BIOREACTOR PLATFORM
A cell culture apparatus includes one or more plates having a first major surface and an opposing second major surface. The first major surface comprises a structured surface defining a plurality of wells. Each well has an interior surface defining an upper aperture and a nadir, wherein the upper aperture of each well has a diametric dimension in a range from 100 micrometers to 2000 micrometers. The apparatus also includes a plurality of spacers extending from the first major surface along a length of the bottom surface. A plurality of flow channels are defined between adjacent rails.
CELL CULTURE DISH
A cell culture dish, comprising a dish bottom, as well as an inner side wall and an outer side wall integrated with the dish bottom, wherein the inner part enclosed by the inner side wall forms a culture area, and a water tank is formed between the inner side wall and the outer side wall, and the water tank is located on the periphery of the culture area; at least one convex ring is provided on the surface of the dish bottom in the culture area, and the inner part enclosed by the convex ring forms a culture tank, wherein a number of culture microwells are provided at the bottom of at least one culture tank. Ultra-pure water is added to the water tank, and the evaporation of water creates a saturated humidity culture environment around the culture area, to prevent the risk of osmotic pressure increase caused by the evaporation of culture medium; convex rings are provided in the culture area, wherein culture medium is added to the culture tank formed by the convex ring, to make the droplets of the culture medium relatively fixed, and not easy to move to cause the loss of cells or the connection of droplets; culture microwells are provided inside the culture tank, to make the location of the cells limited in the microwells during the culture process, and the whole process can be observed or monitored with photographic apparatus, and cells of best quality can be selected out without disturbing the process of cell culture.
System and method for a biomimetic fluid processing
A system and method are provided for harvesting target biological substances. The system includes a substrate and a first and second channel formed in the substrate. The channels longitudinally extending substantially parallel to each other. A series of gaps extend from the first channel to the second channel to create a fluid communication path passing between a series of columns with the columns being longitudinally separated by a predetermined separation distance. The system also includes a first source configured to selectively introduce into the first channel a first biological composition at a first channel flow rate and a second source configured to selectively introduce into the second channel a second biological composition at a second channel flow rate. The sources are configured to create a differential between the first and second channel flow rates to generate physiological shear rates along the second channel that are bounded within a predetermined range.
NANO-DROPLET PLATE
A low-cost method is provided for fabricating a nano-droplet plate with surface features having re-entrant (anvil-like) geometries capable of holding droplets of a precise, predetermined volume. Such structures are useful for a variety of applications, including cull culturing, high-throughput screening of therapeutics and as microwells.
Well Plate
A plate includes a plate body and a well that extends into the plate body along a direction. The well extends from an opening in an upper surface of the plate to a base surface, such that the well terminates at the base surface. The well includes a tapered portion in which a cross-sectional dimension of the well that is measured in a direction perpendicular to the direction decreases as the well extends toward the base surface. The tapered portion is defined at least in part by a convex surface of an inner surface of the plate that extends between the upper surface and the base surface.
