CELL CULTURE SYSTEM
A cell culture system includes: a first pump; and a first cell culture container and a second cell culture container. The first cell culture container has a first culture medium circulation flow path. The second cell culture container has a second culture medium circulation flow path independent of the first culture medium circulation flow path. The first culture medium circulation flow path and the second culture medium circulation flow path are fluidly connected to the first pump.
Reactor for manufacturing biogas from organic raw material using anaerobic digestion
The reactor is for manufacturing biogas from organic raw material using anaerobic digestion. The reactor includes a tubular reaction chamber with a substantially rectangular cross-section composed of a bottom, walls and a ceiling for processing raw material into end products. Agitation and transfer equipment are arranged in the reaction chamber and an external support frame structure is arranged on the outer surface included in the reaction chamber for stiffening and supporting the reaction chamber externally against forces generated by the raw material.
Micro algae harvesting methods and devices
The present invention relates to a particulate material separation assembly. It comprises a filtration membrane and an antifouling device. The antifouling device comprises one or more magnets and a plurality of magnetisable particles. The one or more magnets cause the plurality of magnetisable particles to self-assemble into dynamic bristles, thereby forming a brush. The particulate material separation assembly is particularly useful in the context of micro algae harvesting.
BIOREACTOR CHAMBER
A bioreactor chamber (1) including a first end block (4), a second end block (6) and a flexible membrane (2). The flexible membrane (2) extends between the first end block (4) and the second end block (6) and defines a cavity (10) bounded by at least the flexible membrane (2). The cavity (10) is arranged to receive a substrate, for growing a culture on the substrate or a biomaterial for testing the biomaterial.
BIOGAS REACTOR AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING BIOGAS
A biogas reactor is disclosed in which biogas is formed from organic matter. The biogas reactor includes a wall to form a tank structure enclosing a tubular reactor space in which organic matter can be placed to form biogas. The wall forming the tank structure is comprised of a helically wound hollow pipe profile to form a spiral arrangement. The hollow space within the hollow pipe profile accommodates a heat-transfer medium to influence the temperature of organic matter in the reactor space. Connections are provided for feeding organic matter to the reactor space and removing it from the reactor space, and one or more connections are provided for removing biogas from the reactor space. The invention also concerns methods for producing biogas and for manufacturing a biogas reactor.
A system and process for producing a biosurfactant and formulations comprising same
The present invention generally relates to a system and process for producing a biosurfactant, and more particularly to a system and process for producing a biosurfactant from at least one strain of Bacillus subtilis, and formulations which comprise the biosurfactant.
Stirred tank reactor systems and methods of use
A reactor system includes a support housing having an interior surface bounding a chamber, the chamber having a vertically extending central longitudinal axis. A flexible bag is disposed within the chamber of the support housing and has an interior surface bounding a compartment. A mixing element is disposed within the compartment of the flexible bag. A drive element, such as a drive shaft, is secured the mixing element, wherein the mixing element is laterally offset from and/or is angled relative to the vertically extending central longitudinal axis of the support housing.
Device for Producing Metabolites
A bioreactor for producing hydrogen gas and other metabolites. The bioreactor utilizes light, fermentation, and other metabolic processes for the production of metabolites, derived from various microorganisms contained within the bioreactor through respective metabolic pathways. The bioreactor comprises a main reactor chamber, a semipermeable membrane, a sleeve, a power supply, a substrate medium, a heating member, a plurality of tubing members, a collection reservoir, a pressure-sealed connecter member, and an agitator.
Method for analysis and cell culture and an associated system
The method for analysis and cell culture comprises the following steps: generating a train (14) of ordered drops (16) in a carrier fluid (40), the train (14) of drops (16) comprising at least one culture drop (42), the culture drop (42) comprising a culture medium (50) and at least one cell (4), circulating the train (14) of drops (16) in a tube (10), incubating the train (14) of drops (16) in the tube (10), measuring at least one parameter indicative of the content of the culture drop (42) in the tube (10) at different times, recovering the culture drop (42) at one end (36) of the tube (10),
the steps being carried out in a controlled atmosphere (6).
Connector
There is provided a connector, for introducing or extracting a material to or from at least one receptacle, comprising a housing extending between a distal end and a proximal end, the housing comprising, at least at one end, a pierceable seal; a hollow needle mounted, at least partially, within the housing between the distal end and the proximal end of the housing, a first end of the hollow needle being connected or connectable to a first corresponding receptacle, and a second end of the hollow needle facing the pierceable seal at an end of the housing; and an actuating mechanism acting on the housing or the hollow needle to enable the hollow needle to pierce the pierceable seal thereby forming a communication through the pierceable seal, such that material is able to transfer through the connector.
