IMAGE CAPTURE SYSTEM
An image capturing system includes a camera unit that captures an image of a cell; a display unit; an input unit that receives input from an operator regarding a selection operation on the cell; an analyzing unit that analyzes the image corresponding to the cell to which the selection operation is given and extracts a feature amount of the cell; and a specifying unit that specifies a recommended cell. The specifying unit sets a parameter that defines a range of the cell to be selected based on the feature amount of the cell to which the selection operation is given up to a first time point. In an image including the cell obtained by image capturing at a second time point later than the first time point, the specifying unit specifies the recommended cell on which the operator is prompted to make a selection based on the parameter.
PRETREATMENT METHOD FOR CELL MIGRATION AND CELL MIGRATION DEVICE
A pretreatment method for cell transfer is a pretreatment method to be performed for transferring a required cell to a predetermined transfer destination by picking the cell, from a mass containing a plurality of cells of different sizes, using a cell transfer device including cell picking means. The pretreatment method includes a classification step of classifying the required cell, from among the plurality of cells contained in the mass, into at least two groups according to a size of the cell; and a supply step of supplying the classified cells, in a state of being individually classified, to a position where picking can be conducted by the picking means.
FLUIDIC EJECTION SYSTEMS WITH TITRATION PLATE FORM FACTORS
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a fluidic ejection system is described. The fluidic ejection system includes a frame to retain a number of fluidic ejection devices. The frame has a form factor to match a titration plate. The fluidic ejection system also includes the number of fluidic ejection devices disposed on the frame. Each fluidic ejection device includes a reservoir disposed on a first side of the frame and a fluidic ejection die disposed on an opposite side of the frame. Each fluidic ejection die includes an array of nozzles, with each nozzle including an ejection chamber, an opening, and a fluid actuator disposed within the ejection chamber.
System and Method for Printing Tissue
A system and method for printing cells in a medium. A multi-dimensional printer, stably constructed of low-mass parts, can include a computer numerically controlled system that can enable motors driving delivery systems. The motors can include encoders that can enable achieving arbitrary resolution. The motors can drive ballscrews to enable linear motion of delivery systems, and the delivery systems can enable printing of a biological material in a pre-selected pattern in a petri dish. The petri dish can accommodate a medium such as a gel, and can further accommodate a vision system that can detect actual position and deflection of the delivery system needle. The printer can accommodate multiple delivery systems and therefore multiple needles of various sizes.
Microfluidic device for three dimensional and compartmentalized coculture of neuronal and muscle cells, with functional force readout
The present subject matter provides a microfluidic device that enables the precise and repeatable three dimensional and compartmentalized coculture of muscle cells and neuronal cells. Related apparatus, systems, techniques, and articles are also described.
CELL TRANSPLANTATION DEVICE AND CELL TRANSPLANTATION UNIT
A cell transplantation device for placing a cell group at a target region in at least one of an intradermal layer and a subcutaneous layer in a living body, including a device body including a protruding portion having an accommodating portion for accommodating a liquid composition including the cell group. The protruding portion has an opening that communicates with the accommodating portion, and the protruding portion penetrates a skin surface of the living body such that the opening of the protruding portion reaches the at least one of the intradermal layer and the subcutaneous layer and that the cell group accommodated in the accommodating portion is placed at the target region through the opening.
Multi-Needle Cell Seeding Device
Cell seeding devices and methods for utilization of the devices are described. The devices include a rolling needle support that carries a plurality of channeled needles thereon. Upon rolling the support over the surface of a scaffold, the needles penetrate the scaffold surface and deliver cells to the interior of the scaffold. The devices can deliver cells to a scaffold at a high density with high cellular retention and survival.
DEVICE FOR USE WITH A MULTICHANNEL PIPETTE
The present disclosure provides device for use with a pipette, the device comprising a body comprising one or more sample ports, each sample port comprising a cavity, a bottom, a registration feature comprising a tip landing zone and a guiding path for guiding a pipette tip from the tip landing zone to a tip target location. The invention also features a cassette for use in parallel electrophoretic assays, the cassette comprising a lid comprising the device. The present disclosure also provides methods for making same.
Fluid handling systems and method for ultracentrifuges
A fluid handling system is provided that includes a controller, a plurality of valves, a pump, and an interface in communication with the controller. The valves can be operatively connected with a conduit to along a flow path. Each of the valves is controlled by the controller for selective movement between a first position and a second position. The first position closes the flow path, while the second position opens the flow path. The pump can be operatively connected with the conduit and the is controlled by the controller for selective pumping of fluid through the flow path. The interface allows selective definition of the flow path through the valves.
System and Method for Transferring Tissue
A transfer device designed to extract an amorphous or semi-solid structure, tissue, or construct from supporting media while maintaining the spatial integrity/organizational architecture thereof. The transfer device can include a controller, an actuator assembly, a plunger, and a needle. The controller can move the transfer device and the plunger independently.
