Modular Bioreactor
The present disclosure relates to use of systems for culturing, incubating, and/or expanding adherent cells.
BIOREACTOR FOR CELL CULTURE
A bioreactor for cell culture comprising, a first set of open top troughs that are interconnected by a first set off low channels to form a first cascade, a second set of open top troughs that are interconnected by a second set of flow channels to form a second cascade, and a set of interconnecting flow channels coupled between the first cascade and the second cascade, wherein the first cascade circulates a fresh media and the second cascade circulates a cell culture and a first quantity of the fresh media from first cascade is supplied to the second cascade through the set of interconnecting flow channels when a second quantity of cell culture is removed from the second cascade.
Human plasma-like medium
In some aspects, described herein are cell culture media that are useful for in vitro culture of mammalian cells. The culture media contain a variety of small organic compounds that are found in normal adult human blood. Also described are methods of using the culture media for a variety of purposes. Also described are methods of treating cancer.
LACTIC ACID ADSORBENT AND METHOD FOR REMOVING LACTIC ACID
A lactic acid adsorbent includes a layered double hydroxide that contains multiple metal hydroxide layers and also contains anions and water molecules held between the metal hydroxide layers. The anions include (i) an amino acid such as glutamine, (ii) a dipeptide constituted by one or two kinds of amino acids such as glutamine, (iii) a vitamin such as ascorbic acid 2-phosphate, (iv) a pH buffer such as MES, (v) a glucose metabolite such as pyruvic acid, or (vi) inorganic ions selected from a group including NO.sub.3.sup.− and Cl.sup.−.
BIOLOGICAL AND ALGAE HARVESTING AND CULTIVATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Algae harvesting and cultivating systems and methods for producing high concentrations of algae product with minimal energy. In an embodiment, a dead-end filtration system and method includes at least one tank and a plurality hollow fiber membranes positioned in the at least one tank. An algae medium is pulled through the hollow fiber membranes such that a retentate and a permeate are produced.
UNIVERSAL MICROFLUIDIC CULTURE SYSTEM TO ANALYZE AND CONTROL CELL DYNAMICS
Microfluidic devices, systems, and methods.
Cell culture device, system and methods of use thereof
The present invention provides a method for culturing cells in a cell culture container having a base section, a top section arranged in parallel with the top section and a wall element arranged between the top section and the base section and defining an internal lumen of the container, in which the wall element of the container is compressible with respect to the top and bottom section, and in which the top section of the container has an optionally sealable inlet, in which the container is composed of a flexible material, comprising culturing cells in a culture medium in the cell culture container. Also provide is a cell culture container having a base section, a top section arranged in parallel with the top section and a wall element arranged between the top section and the base section and defining an internal lumen of the container, in which the wall element of the container is compressible with respect to the top and bottom section, and in which the top section of the container has an optionally sealable inlet, in which the wall element of the container is composed of a flexible material.
Assembled bioreactor chamber suitable for perfusion culture
Provided is an assembled bioreactor chamber comprising an upper end portion, at least one intermediate portion and a lower end portion for forming a chamber of the reactor chamber. The upper end portion and the lower end portion are respectively provided with an interface connected with a culture medium line, and the upper end portion and the intermediate portion, and the intermediate portion and the lower end portion are detachably connected in a sealed manner through a connecting mechanism; when the number of the intermediate portions is ≥2, the adjacent intermediate portions are detachably connected in a sealed manner through a connecting mechanism; and the chamber also comprises a cell carrier for cell attachment growth.
ADJUSTABLE FERMENTATION AND CELL CULTURE FLASKS WITH INTEGRATED ANALYTE SENSORS
The present invention relates to collapsible and/or foldable fermentation and/or culture vessels fabricated of an adjustable frame including sections of gas permeable material or in the alternative a non-rigid gas permeable polymeric container or bag fabricated of either a gas permeable or non-gas permeable material with the further benefit of more efficient inventory space and disposal space, wherein the gas permeable material or non-gas permeable material comprises an analyte or pH sensing material integrated or impregnated into at least one section of the material.
Perfusion bioreactor and related methods of use
A method of controlling a bioreactor system includes providing a cell culture in a bioreactor, wherein conditions in the bioreactor enable the cell culture to produce a protein of interest (POI), measuring process parameters (PPs) of the culture within the bioreactor by RAMAN, wherein the process parameters are selected from the group consisting of nutrient concentration, viable cell concentration, and protein attributes, measuring a predetermined weight of the bioreactor with the cell culture, removing cell-free spent media from the cell culture using a first output conduit at a first specified rate, removing cells from the cell culture using a second output conduit at a second specified rate, and introducing one or both of fresh media or nutrients into the cell culture using an input conduit at a third specified rate.
