COMPONENT WITH MULTIPLE LAYERS
A bedding component includes a top portion having a gel foam, a middle portion having a foam layer with at least one gel disc, and a bottom portion have a foam core.
Vibrating bed
Disclosed are embodiments of a vibrating bed which allows a particular person to induce a customized vibrational pattern that they find particularly therapeutic. In certain embodiments, the bed has a water mattress, a carriage for the mattress, a hardwood frame to support the carriage, a transducer for producing different vibrational patterns in the mattress, a vibrotactile amplifier for controlling the transducer, a computer for controlling the amplifier and software on the computer for producing sounds of particular frequencies to induce the vibrational patterns in the water mattress.
Multi-layered cushioning support
Multi-layer cushion supports are described which may generally comprise a first support having a first contact surface for contacting a portion of a body and a second surface opposite to the first surface, the first support defining a central chamber and a peripheral chamber surrounding the central chamber, wherein the first support is filled with a first gas or liquid and a second support attached to the first support along the first contact surface. The second support may be filled with a second gas or liquid which is relatively more viscous than the first gas or liquid. In particular, the first support may be filled with a volume of air and the second support may be filled with oil which is less than the volume of air.
Gel lamination to viscoelastic foam
A body support structure comprising a gel layer comprising at least a first gel lattice, wherein the first gel lattice comprises a plurality of first gel segments, wherein the plurality of first gel segments defines a plurality of first gaps; and a viscoelastic foam layer; wherein the gel layer is directly laminated to the viscoelastic foam layer. Methods of forming the gel layers and body support structures comprising the gel layers. Systems for manufacturing body support structures comprising the gel layers.
Mattress assemblies including phase change materials and processes to dissipate thermal load associated with the phase change materials
Mattress assemblies including phase change materials and processes for dissipating retained in the mattress assemblies generally include a spacer layer in proximity to one or more foam layers containing a phase change material; and a pump in fluid communication with the spacer layer to provide a positive or negative air flow into the spacer layer to reduce retained heat in the phase change materials subsequent to a sleep cycle. The process includes operating the pump between sleep cycles to reduce the retained heat.
MOLDED HYBRID PILLOW
A hybrid pillow includes a cushion material defining a recess. A coil panel is positioned within the recess of the cushion material with the coil panel formed of a plurality of coil springs, an upper fabric layer, and a lower fabric layer. The upper fabric layer and the lower fabric layer are joined between the plurality of coil springs and along peripheral edges of the first coil panel. A gel layer is also positioned within the recess of the cushion material and over the coil panel. A method of manufacturing the pillow includes dispensing a liquid gel in a mold, positioning a coil panel in the mold and on top of the liquid gel, dispensing a foam precursor in the mold, and foaming the foam precursor to form a cushion material that is secured to the coil panel.
BEDDING COMPONENTS INCLUDING FLUID ABSORBING GEL BEADS
A mattress insert, able to be inserted into a traditional mattress, includes a plurality of compartments, each containing gel beads and water suitable for simulating the feeling, pressure relief, and temperature regulation of a waterbed. The mattress insert is placed into a foam structural material of the mattress, providing the mattress insert with support and preventing the spread of the gel beads within the insert. The foam core of the mattress may be either solid or rounded. This mattress technology and insert is useful for beds, including medical beds and dog beds, recliners, chairs, and sofas.

Cushions with columns including firmness-defining features
Systems and methods for a cushion with at least one firmness feature are provided. A cushion may include an array of interconnected columns, each column of the array of interconnected columns having a height extending through a thickness of the cushion. At least one column of the array of interconnected columns may include at least one wall defined from a compressible, resilient material; a void defined by the at least one wall and extending through the height of the at least one column; and a firmness-defining feature extending along a height of the at least one wall.
COMPOSITE MATTRESSES WITH AIR CHAMBERS
A mattress includes a pressurizable layer positioned within a receptacle. The mattress further includes a top layer positioned over at least a portion of the pressurizable layer within the receptacle. The top layer includes an elastomer gel.
