REAGENT COMPOSITION AND KIT
A reagent composition for use as a first reagent composition in a method of quantifying a small dense LDL cholesterol (sdLDL-C) in a sample, the method including causing the first reagent composition to react to the sample, and after the causing the first reagent composition to react to the sample, causing a second reagent composition for quantifying the sdLDL-C to react, thereby quantifying cholesterol in a remaining lipoprotein, the reagent composition includes a nonionic surfactant and has cholesterol esterase activity, cholesterol oxidase activity, and sphingomyelinase activity, and a contact angle between the reagent composition and a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) base material is equal to or more than 63.0 and equal to or less than 67.0.

Diagnostic blood test for sarcoidosis
Sarcoidosis is a multisystem disease characterized by granulomatous inflammation in affected organs. The present invention discloses kits and a system for a blood test using mycobacterial catalase-peroxidase that has a high positive predictive value for confirming a diagnosis of sarcoidosis.

METHODS FOR QUANTITATING VIRAL CAPSIDS
Methods for quantitating viral capsids and/or polynucleotides contained therein using a charged biopolymer-loaded biosensor are provided. The signals indicative of binding of molecules (such as polynucleotides or viral capsids) to the biosensor can be measured by bio-layer interferometry (BLI). The amount of viral capsids can be calculated based on signals indicative of binding of the viral capsids to the biosensor. The empty/full viral capsid ratio in a viral sample can be calculated based on the amount of the viral polynucleotides and/or the binding kinetics of the biosensor to the viral capsids or the polynucleotides.
