Disclosed is a crib that elevates a carriage from the lowered position to height that is user defined. The lifting motion is operated by holding buttons on controls on the unit or a wireless remote; releasing the button stops the motion. While in the elevated position, a sliding door assembly provides access to the inside of the carriage while leaving the underside of the carriage free of obstruction as to permit wheelchair using caretakers to freely pull underneath the elevated carriage. The carriage of the crib includes a mattress support, rear wall, right wall, left wall, and a front wall having a left and right sliding door. A telescoping lifting column is fastened to each of the right wall and left wall. The lifting columns have an electric linear actuator that perform the lifting and lowering operations of the carriage. The lifting columns extend downward and are fastened to feet.

CRIB LINER

A crib liner, suitable for use with a crib, wherein the crib has a first, second, third and fourth side configured for receiving a mattress is disclosed. The crib also includes four corners, wherein each corner is constructed as part of where two adjacent sides meet; wherein at least one first, second, third or fourth sides has a horizontal top bar and a plurality of vertical spaced support elements. The crib liner includes at least a first panel configured to cover a portion of the vertical spaced support elements. The first panel includes a breathable body portion, a bottom border, a top border and side borders and at least a first and second fastener at each end to attach the first panel to the crib. The breathable body portion includes a first material having a front layer and a back layer attached to each other and having different fabric weaves; the breathable body portion having an air permeability of between 385 CFM to 1530 CFM and a light permeability of between 47 and 99%.

CONVERTIBLE BEDSIDE BASSINET AND CHANGING TABLE

A convertible bassinet including a mobile support enabling selective movement about a supporting surface and a braking apparatus providing the ability to secure the mobile support in a laterally fixed position on the surface. The mobile support also includes a vertical adjustment mechanism enabling the height of the bassinet to be altered by a user. The bassinet further includes a top perimeter frame with a position actuator for varying the height of the top perimeter frame above a child supporting surface. When in an uppermost position the perimeter frame defines a bassinet. A changing table surface is defined when the perimeter frame is repositioned to a lowermost position. Resilient connectors between the position actuator and the perimeter frame members allow the top perimeter frame to move from the uppermost position to the lowermost position independent of movement of the position actuator.

Operating table column for an operating table

The invention relates to an operating table column (10) for an operating table (100), said operating table column comprising a basic body (12) and a column head (14) to which a patient support (103) may be connected. Further, the operating table column (10) comprises a first linear actuator (20) and a second linear actuator (22) which are independently adjustable for changing the position of the column head (14) relative to the basic body (12). The first linear actuator (20) and the second linear actuator (22) each are oriented and arranged so as to perform an actuating motion in vertical direction when activated. The first linear actuator (20) is mechanically connected to the column head (14) via a first connecting area (30), and the second linear actuator (22) is mechanically connected to the column head (14) via a second connecting area (32). The column head (14) comprises a length adjustment assembly (36, 50) through which the distance between the first connecting area (30) and the second connecting area (32) is changeable during an actuating motion of the first linear actuator (20) and/or the second linear actuator (22).

A breathable crib bed and bumper system includes a bed frame having a plurality of raised side panels, an open top end and an open bottom end. A series of air holes are positioned through each of the raised side panels, and connectors are positioned along the outer surfaces of each of the raised side panels. A breathable mesh topper is connected to the frame by the connectors and is suspended above the open top end of the frame. Impact resistant padding is positioned along the frame panels. A breathable crib bumper having a flat bottom surface is positioned between the bottom of the frame and a crib support. The bumper includes a plurality of breathable raised side walls that are connected to the raised side walls of the crib.

INFANT CALMING/SLEEP-AID DEVICE

An infant calming/sleep-aid device that includes a moving platform and a sound generator, the sound and motion adapted to calm a fussy baby, induce sleep, and maintain sleep under normal conditions. The device makes a determination as to whether sound signals represent sound coming from inside the device or outside the device. If the sound signals are coming from the inside the device, then the signals are evaluated in a specified frequency band to determine whether the sound is a baby cry. If a determination is made that there is a baby cry, then a threshold analysis is performed to quantify the cry and compare it to a threshold value. If the cry is above a specified threshold, the device moves the platform and/or generates sound.

In general a crib includes a first and second side that each have a first perimeter support having a bottom support portion, a first breathable material retained by the perimeter support, and a lateral support member that further supports the breathable material in a position within the perimeter support and attached to the perimeter support. The crib also includes third and fourth sides, wherein the first, second, third and fourth sides define an interior. The crib further includes a mattress support platform positioned in the interior and movable between a first position proximate the lateral support member and a second, lower position proximate the bottom portion of the perimeter support. The breathable material has an air permeability of between 385 CFM to 1530 CFM and a light permeability of between 47 and 99%. In another example a crib includes first and second sides and third and fourth sides that each include a top support fixedly attached to the first and second sides and a bottom support movably attached to the first and second sides, a first breathable material retained by the top support and the bottom support and the breathable material forming a sling for retention of a mattress support platform. The mattress support platform is movable to various positions by moving the bottom support member and wherein the sling also moves such that the breathable material moves up and down to enclose the space above the mattress support platform.

A bedding for babies and infants includes two mattresses, wall-surface cushion materials, and handles. The two mattresses have mutually opposite sides that are coupled and have square shapes in planar views of the two mattresses. The wall-surface cushion materials are removably mounted on top surfaces of other three sides excluding the coupled sides of both the mattresses via coupling members. The handles removably mounted on both the mattresses or the wall-surface cushion materials. The wall-surface cushion materials are separably and mutually coupled between the adjacent wall-surface cushion materials via coupling members. The bedding for babies and infants is configured to be carried around with the handles in a state where both the mattresses are folded such that top surfaces of corresponding wall-surface cushion materials are abutted to be closed with a coupling member.

Devices and methods to protect neonates during bed-sharing and co-sleeping

This disclosure provides designs for inexpensive devices that can be sturdy, pleasing to the eye, light in weight, and attractively padded, to form an enclosure around an infant or neonate that is open at its bottom. These devices protect neonates from injury during bed-sharing or co-sleeping with other individuals. These enclosures can include single or multiple roll-over bars to protect infants and neonates from being injured or asphyxiated by weight of a co-sleeper inadvertently moving on top of a roll-over bar. Devices can be shaped to allow for easy placement and removal of the infant, or to place the enclosure with the respective roll-over bar(s) over an infant. Roll-over bar(s) can be/hinged or intercalated with pivots to deflect frame base portions when an infant body part finds itself accidentally caught under them. The rotation can be limited to an angle that still allows for the roll-over bar to be above an infant's body when frame base portion(s) are raised above the sleeping surface by the pressure and forces exerted on a roll-over bar when a co-sleeper inadvertently moves over a roll-over bar.
