A mattress cover can have a compartment formed thereon wherein bumper padding material can be integrated into the compartment to create a cuddle zone above the covering within an area defined by the compartment and integrated bumper padding material. The mattress cover can be provided in the form of a fitted bed sheet. The bumper padding material can be provided in the form of a tube. The compartment can be formed as an overlay material sewn over the mattress covering having at least one open end that can be closed once bumper padding material is inserted into the compartment. End closures can be provided in the form of hook and loop material sewn along at least one of the at least one open end of the overlay material and the mattress covering. The compartment and bumper padding material can be provided to create many shapes formed above the mattress material.

Baby diaper changing station

A baby diaper changing station (10) includes a base (16) that is configured to be in fixed connection with a wall (12). A table (14) is in movable rotatable connection with the base. The table is movable between a use position in which a changing surface (18) extends generally horizontal and faces upward, and a stored position in which the table extends parallel to the wall and in overlying relation of the base. The table is supported through rails (108, 110) that extend in respective channels (102, 104) within the table. Stop pins (154) are configured to stop rotation of the table in the use position and to prevent damage to the changing station from an excessive downward load on the table. The stop pins are frangible so that if an excessive load is applied, the pins bend and break without causing damage to other structures. The changing station can be returned to service by replacement of the stop pins.

The cot further includes a lift system that is coupled to a transport system that includes a cot retainer. The patient support assembly includes a headrest, backrest, seat, and leg rest. In some forms, a child restraint assembly is incorporated into the various parts of the patient support assembly to allow safe transport of children in an ambulance. The child restraint assembly is adjustable to accommodate the size of the child being transported. In other forms, the child restraint assembly is incorporated into the pad. The various embodiments envision a child restraint assembly that is easily accessible to emergency medical professionals.

A sensor attached to a bouncer motor senses the types of movement and sends the detection signal to a controller which then changes magnetic power to the bouncer motor to allow the movement to become rhythmic.

The crib liner includes a bottom layer dimensioned to cover a lower surface of a crib and a side panel formed of a breathable material extending generally perpendicular from the bottom layer. The side panel is continuous in construction such that if forms a closed circuit around the bottom layer and is configured to form a closed circuit around the perimeter of the crib and extend beyond the top surface of the crib railing. Stays are attached at intervals along an edge of the side panel. The stays are configured to hold the crib liner in place relative to the crib.

A baby sleep sack that effectively secures an infant in a safe position on their bed is implemented to prevent the baby from sleeping on his side or stomach and encourage the baby to sleep on his back, thereby decreasing the chances of suffocation and SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) while sleeping. The sleep sack, which may be comprised of cotton and/or other cloth material, has openings at the waist from which straps having respective connectors extend. The openings may be slits in the sleep sack's fabric through which the flat straps are able to extend. The sleep sack's straps may be attached to the sleep sack by stitching against the interior surface of the sleep sack. In typical implementations, the connectors may be positioned at the end of the respective straps and mate with corresponding connectors on an external strap to encourage safe-sleeping habits.
