COMPOSITION FOR STRENGTHENING SKIN BARRIER, MOISTURIZING SKIN OR ANTI-AGING
Provided is a composition comprising a novel strain, a lysate thereof or a culture product thereof, which can demonstrate excellent effects in strengthening skin barrier, moisturizing skin, enhancing skin elasticity or anti-aging, and can be used for a cosmetic composition or health functional food.
Lactic acid bacteria, and feed, fertilizer, and viable bacterial preparation containing said lactic acid bacteria
An object is to provide lactic acid bacteria that can be applicable to feed, fertilizers, live bacterial preparations, probiotics, etc. The lactic acid bacteria are identified and deposited under the accession numbers of NITE (National Institute of Technology and Evaluation) P-02313, NITE P-02314, NITE P-02490, NITE P-02491, and NITE P-02492. In addition, another object is to provide feed, fertilizers and live bacterial preparations containing the lactic acid bacterium/bacteria of the invention. According to studies, it is confirmed that the lactic acid bacteria are proliferated in animals including human, plants, etc. without being destroyed. According to studies, it is also confirmed that the lactic acid bacteria are proliferated in water, soil, etc. without being destroyed. Therefore, the lactic acid bacteria can be widely applicable in feed, fertilizers, live bacterial preparations, etc.
METHODS AND CULTURES TO MANUFACTURE PIZZA CHEESE
The application is directed to a method to manufacture pasta-filata cheese based on cultures comprising or consisting of either 1) at least a galactose-positive Streptococcus thermophilus strain as defined herein or 2) at least a Streptococcus thermophilus strain and a Lactococcus lactis strain, and to a stretched curd or cheese produced by this method. The application is also directed to a culture or kit-of-part comprising or consisting of a) a galactose-positive Streptococcus thermophilus strain as defined herein, and b) Lactococcus strain(s) and/or Lactobacillus helveticus strain(s).
METHODS AND PRODUCTS FOR BIODEGRADATION OF WASTE
The present invention provides a method of producing a product for waste degradation, a microbial consortium or a mixed microbial composition, a product for waste degradation, and a waste degradation method. The method of producing the product for waste degradation comprises providing at least one isolated microbial strain from excreta, providing at least one lactic acid and/or acetic acid producing microbial strain, providing at least one yeast strain, providing at least one Bacillus sp., and combining the microbial strains to produce a microbial consortium for waste degradation.
COMPOSITION CONTAINING TWO LACTIC ACID BACTERIA STRAINS AND USES THEREOF
Disclosed herein is a composition that includes Lactobacillus plantarum LP28 deposited at the China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (CGMCC) under an accession number CGMCC 3346, and Streptococcus thermophilus ST30 deposited at Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen GmbH under an accession number DSM 32788. Also disclosed herein are an animal feed comprising the composition, and a method for improving pork quality, which comprises administering to a pig the composition.
NEW BACTERIA
The present invention relates to novel S. thermophillus strains that are not attacked by common phagesand novel Streptococcus strains with improved stability against phage attacks, methods to obtain Streptococcus strains with improved phage resistance, their use in the manufacture of fermented milk-based products, and novel milk based products containing the strain.
MICROENCAPSULATION OF MICROBIAL CULTURE USING OCTENYL SUCCINIC ANHYDRIDE STARCH-CHITOSAN COMPLEX COACERVATE
The present invention relates to microencapsulated microbial cultures with high storage stability and methods for producing these. In particular, the present invention relates to microbial cultures formulated in complex coacervates comprising octenyl succinic anhydride (OSA) starch and chitosan, products comprising such formulations.
Use of glucose deficient Streptococcus thermophiles strains in a process for producing fermented milk products
The invention relates to the use of a Streptococcus thermophilus strain with a deficiency in glucose metabolism for improving growth of a Lactobacillus strain in a process for producing a fermented milk product.
Streptococcus thermophilus for use in preparation of fermented products
The present invention relates to novel strains of Streptococcus thermophilus, compositions comprising said strains and to methods for the preparation of such compositions.
MUSCLE ATROPHY PREVENTION AGENT
An object of the invention is to provide a novel technique for preventing muscle atrophy by directly promoting muscle synthesis or suppressing muscle degradation without through physical activity. An agent for preventing muscle atrophy containing a lactic acid bacterium having a muscle synthesis-promoting effect and/or a muscle degradation-suppressing effect, a treated product of the lactic acid bacterium or an extract thereof as an active ingredient in which the lactic acid bacterium having a muscle synthesis-promoting effect is Lactobacillus gasseri or the like and the lactic acid bacterium having a muscle degradation-suppressing effect is Lactobacillus reuteri or the like is provided.
