Agricultural uses of a novel bacterium of the genus Streptomyces
A method for processing plant matter, which involves applying a processing composition including at least one biological agent selected from: bacteria including a DNA sequence, referred to as 16S rDNA, coding for the 16S ribosomal RNA of the bacterium, which is 100% homologous with SEQ ID NO. 1, culture media in which bacteria have grown which include the 16S rDNA sequence that is 100% homologous with SEQ ID NO. 1 and which are substantially free of the bacteria, the culture media including polynucleotides having a DNA sequence which is 100% homologous with SEQ ID NO. 1, and in which the bacteria are selected from bacteria that are consistent with the strain filed and registered on 7 Apr. 2011 with number 1-4467 before the French National Collection of Microorganism Cultures (CNCM) of the Pasteur Institute, and mutant bacteria of the filed strain.
Clone of xiamenmycin biosynthesis gene cluster and heterologous expression thereof
The present invention involves the application of a gene cluster, and bacterial strains that used in the biosynthesis of Xiamenmycin. The nucleotide sequence of the gene cluster is showed as SEQ ID NO.1, with the whole length of 5189 base pairs. The present invention involves Streptomyces xiamenensis CGMCC No. 5670 and its mutant strain, and the method that how the mentioned bacterial strain produces Xiamenmycin. The present invention provides the strain sources by using Streptomyces xiamenensis, its mutant strains or genetically engineered microbial strains carrying the above-mentioned Xiamenmycin biosynthesis gene cluster for cultivation and produce benzopyran compound Xiamenmycin through biosynthesis. The mutant strains can be used in industrial production.
STREPTOMYCES SP. STRAIN AND METHOD FOR PREPARING SULFIDE OXIDASE PREPARATION FROM THE SAME
The present invention discloses a Streptomyces sp. strain and a method for preparing a sulfide oxidase preparation from the same. This strain is a Streptomyces sp. strain DS021-Z.sub.5D.sub.2 which is a mutant having a high yield of sulfide oxidase obtained by taking a Streptomyces sp. strain DS021 as a starting strain and performing strain mutation by means of compound mutation of ultraviolet light and diethyl sulfate, and the preservation number is CGMCC No. 12808. This strain has the advantages of quick growth speed, high enzymatic productivity and the like. When this strain is fermented by a high-density fermentation method, this strain can produce sulfide oxidase preparations at a high yield. This strain has the advantages of inexpensive and easily-available culture substrates, high enzymatic productivity, short fermentation period, low production and use cost, and the like.
Microbial product having antifungal activity
Provided are a compound having a novel mother nucleus, which can be a promising drug discovery seed compound, use thereof as an antifungal agent, and a production method thereof and the like. A compound represented by the following formula: ##STR00001##
or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and an antifungal agent containing same, and the like.
METHOD FOR IMPROVING HETEROLOGOUS SYNTHESIS OF ESCHERICHIA COLI INTO POLYKETIDES AND USE OF SAME
The present invention relates to a method for improving the heterologous synthesis of a polyketide by E. coli and use thereof. The yield of the polyketide heterologously synthesized by E. coli is significantly increased by attenuating the expression of seventy-two genes, such as sucC and talB, in a host strain, wherein the highest yield increase rate can reach 60% or more. Currently, erythromycin is the most clear model compound in the study on the biosynthesis of polyketids. The production strain of the present invention enables massive accumulation of 6-deoxyerythronolide (6-dEB), an erythromycin precursor, in the fermentation process, laying the foundation for the industrial production of the heterologous synthesis of erythromycin by E. coli.
Novel Compound, Use Thereof, and Method for Producing Same, and Compound-Containing Composition, Method for Producing 4-Trehalosamine, and Microorganism
Provided are a protective agent, a surfactant composition, a composition for blood glucose level control, an autophagy inducer, a mycobacterium stain, or a protein extractant characterized by containing compounds represented by general formula (1).
STREPTOMYCES GRAMINEARUS, STREPTOMYCES GRAMINEARUS OIL SUSPENSION, AND ITS PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The invention provides a streptomyces graminearus strain, a streptomyces graminearus oil suspension, as well as its preparation method and application thereof. The streptomyces graminearus oil suspension contains streptomyces graminearus conidiospore powder, emulsifier, stabilizer, wetting dispersant, antioxidant, thickener, ultraviolet protectant, preservative and carrier oil. The use of carrier oil as the dispersion medium offers environmental friendliness, excellent permeability, adhesion properties, and resistance to rain washing. Additionally, the carrier oil enhances the spore germination of streptomyces graminearus. Furthermore, it has the advantages of low application cost, slow spore settling speed, easy to shake well when using, stable efficacy, long storage time, suitability for various spraying techniques and a simple preparation method. The spore survival time of the streptomyces graminearus oil suspension is prelonged, with a spore germination rate is as high as 85% after 18 months of storage. It demonstrates effective control against yam, peanut and forest nematode.
