An LED lighting array system includes discrete lighting modules spatially arrayed along a support member to provide illumination of items within a display case. The modules have a low overall height that results in them being mounted in a low-profile configuration at various locations along the support member. The modules include a housing with opposed first and second sets of side apertures, a plurality of internal reflecting surfaces associated with the apertures, respectively, an external lens, a multi-sided light engine and a group of side-emitting LEDs. During operation, a first portion of light generated by the side-emitting LEDs is discharged through apertures and the lens into the cooler to illuminate contents therein, while a second portion of light generated by the side-emitting LEDs is redirected by the reflecting surface through said apertures and the lens into the cooler.

The invention features a refrigerator cabinet door frame. The frame includes a thermally conductive outer frame, a thermally insulating inner frame member, and a sealing plate. The outer frame member includes a forward end having an outer surface that is disposed outside of a refrigerated cabinet with the frame mounted, and a rearward end defining a joint. The inner frame member includes a first end retained in the joint, and a second end. The sealing plate includes a first edge coupled to the outer frame member at the rearward end, forward of the joint, a second edge supported by the second end of the inner frame member, and a thermally conductive sealing surface. A viewing system according to the present invention is a viewing system for viewing an object to be irradiated including a light source unit, and the object to be irradiated with light emitted from the light source unit, in which the object to be irradiated includes a member, and a first circularly polarized light reflecting layer that is arranged on the member and reflects either right-handed circularly polarized light or left-handed circularly polarized light, the light source unit is capable of emitting light to be switchable between either right-handed circularly polarized light or left-handed circularly polarized light that is reflected by the first circularly polarized light reflecting layer or natural light, and circularly polarized light having a revolution direction opposite to a revolution direction of the circularly polarized light reflected by the first circularly polarized light reflecting layer, and color of the object to be irradiated is changed by switching light emitted from the light source unit.

An image display device according to the present embodiment includes: a display panel; a power line; and an outer frame. The display panel is switchable between an image display mode in which an image is displayed and a transmissive mode in which the display panel is in a transmissive state where an object behind the display panel is visible in a front view of the display panel. The power line is disposed along a periphery of the display panel. The outer frame is disposed along an edge of the display panel, and includes a first housing space for housing the power line and a second housing space for housing the edge of the display panel.
