Planar display assembly
A planar display assembly is provided with a planar display pane. A frame is provided with a dado sized to receive the planar display pane. A plurality of retainers mounts to the frame about an inner periphery of the frame to retain the planar display pane within the frame. At least one of the plurality of retainers is elastically deformable to deform during installation of the planar display into the frame, and to expand to retain the planar display pane within the frame. A plurality of apertures or a channel may be formed in the frame about the dado. The plurality of retainers may mount to the frame within the plurality of apertures or the channel of the frame to retain the planar display pane within the frame.
Frame apparatus
A frame apparatus for displaying a flat article and a combined frame apparatus and flat article. In one aspect, the frame apparatus includes a display frame defining a rabbet, a stack positioned in the rabbet, and a spacer apparatus. The rabbet is defined by a floor and a wall. The wall includes an engagement feature which may be a channel. The spacer apparatus is positioned in the rabbet and engagement features thereof extend into the channel in the wall od the rabbet to couple the spacer apparatus to the display frame. The spacer assembly may also be in contact with the stack to hold the stack in the rabbet.
Frame for displaying an image
In one embodiment, a frame assembly includes a mitered frame base including a plurality of rail sections that are joined together in corners of the mitered frame base by a plurality of fasteners. Each rail section includes a first surface for receiving a layered image arrangement. The frame assembly also includes a plurality of mitered splines that are configured to snap-fittingly mate with the plurality of rail sections. Each spline having a second surface that faces the first surface of one of the respective rail sections for securing the layered image arrangement between the spline and the rail section. A corner gap is formed between ends of respective mitered splines in each corner of the frame assembly. A plurality of corner pieces are received within the corner gaps to complete the frame assembly, the plurality of corner pieces snap-fittingly engaging the plurality of rails sections.
Frame with interchangeable panels
A frame for the interchangeable and selective display of panels of artwork or text, where at least one interior surface of the frame defines a cavity in which one or more panels may be disposed, and channels are formed on the interior surface to receive a rod that slidably engages the channels to secure and accessibly store one or more panels within the frame. Also disclosed is a technique for disposing one or more panels within a frame for display and securing the one or more panels by advancing a rod along channels to exert force against the one or more panels.
HANGING ASSEMBLY AND FRAME APPARATUS INCORPORATING THE SAME
A frame apparatus having an adjustable hanging height. The frame apparatus may include a frame having a mounting member thereon. The mounting member may extend along an axis and have a plurality of mounting elements located on opposite sides of the axis in an axially spaced apart manner. Furthermore, a mounting bracket is configured to be coupled to a support surface (i.e., a wall) and to the mounting member. The mounting bracket may extend along an axis and have a plurality of mounting elements located on opposite sides of the axis in an axially spaced apart manner. The frame may be hung from the support surface by engaging a subset of the mounting elements of the mounting member with the mounting elements of the mounting bracket. The mounting member and the mounting bracket may collectively form a hanging assembly for the frame apparatus.
Quick assembly photo frame
The invention relates to a frame which may be easily assembled and includes a plurality of frame members in an unassembled state. Each of the frame members has a back, a first side having a first angle, and a second side having a second angle. The first angle and the second angle are supplementary angles. The frame also includes a plurality of adhesive portions and/or connectors which are attached to the back of the frame members. The opposite surface of the adhesive portions include a re-attachable adhesive enabling individual frame members to be pressed onto a wall surface to form the frame. An item is disposed between the back of the frame members and the wall surface. The frame members may be independently removed from the wall surface for repositioning, or the frame as a whole may be removed for repositioning on the wall surface.
The spacer apparatus is configured to be positioned in the rabbet and engagement features thereof extend into the channel in the wall of the rabbet to couple the spacer apparatus to the display frame. The spacer assembly may also be in contact with the stack to hold the stack in the rabbet.
Automated system for assembling framed articles
An automated system for assembling a framed article including a plurality of canvases and a plurality of assembled frames to be combined with the plurality of canvases to form the framed articles. Each assembled frame is formed of a rear panel and a frame member that are detachably attached to one another with one canvas being stretched across a front face of the frame member. The automated system includes an assembly station including a movable presser head that is configured to detach and lift the rear panel from the frame member and a plurality of movable side guide fingers that are configured to fold side edges of the canvas over sides of the frame member to permit the presser head to press the rear panel down over the folded side edges of the canvas into engagement with the frame member with the canvas being captured between the frame member and the rear panel.
FRAME APPARATUS
A frame apparatus for displaying a flat article and a combined frame apparatus and flat article. In one aspect, the frame apparatus includes an annular display frame defining a rabbet, a stack positioned in the rabbet, and a spacer assembly. The rabbet is defined by a floor and a wall, the wall including a channel. The spacer assembly may have a rigid portion and a compressible portion. The spacer assembly is positioned in the rabbet with the compressible portion of the spacer assembly extending into the channel in the wall to couple the spacer assembly to the annular display frame. The spacer assembly may also be in contact with the stack to hold the stack in the rabbet.
MODULAR FRAMING SYSTEM
A modular framing system comprises plastic components that each comprise a single article having unitary construction and which are connectable to form various sized SEG frames. Four unitarily molded corner frame connections each include protrusions receivable by at least four side rails, each of which may be unitarily extruded with a constant profile along the respective lengths of the side rails. The interconnected corner frame connections and side rails define a continuous conduit about the quadrilateral frame for receiving therein respective edges of the tensionable textile. For use with larger tensionable textiles, additional side rails and T-frame connections may be utilized, with each of the T-frame connections comprising a single molded article having unitary construction. At least the frame connections (both corner frame connections and T-frame connections) may be reused for frames of other sizes.
