Quilt
A quilt has a pair of longitudinally extending side edges, a pair of laterally extending end edges, a head portion, a foot portion, and a middle portion extending longitudinally between the head and foot portions. The quilt includes a hood box adapted to receive and surround the head of the user during use of the quilt. The hood box is disposed in the head portion and includes a front hood panel and a back hood panel. The front hood panel has an aperture moveable between a closed position and an opened position for allowing at least a portion of the user's face to be exposed during use of the hood box. The quilt also includes a pair of overlapping portions. One of the overlapping portions extends along one of the longitudinal side edges and the other overlapping portion extends along the other longitudinal side edge. Each of the overlapping portion define a hand pocket sized and shaped for receiving a hand of the user and an arm receptacle sized and shaped for receiving at least a portion of the user's arm.
THERMALLY INSULATED PERSONAL ARTICLE AND SLEEPING BAG LINERS
An article having an inner article layer and an outer article layer to be worn by a mammal comprising a thermally insulating layer of a reflective metalized polymeric insulation material having moisture vapour transference properties adjacent to at least one of the inner and outer article layers. An apparatus and method for producing a reflective metalized polymeric thermally insulating assembly having moisture vapour transference properties suitable for use in the article is also provided. The insulation material provides enhanced thermal retention.
BAFFLE CONSTRUCTS FOR INSULATIVE FILL MATERIALS
The inventive subject matter generally relates to shaped battle constructs for use in consumer products, such as garments and sleeping bags. In certain aspects, the shaped baffles are arranged in a multi-level construction of baffles wherein the baffles are offset in two or more levels. In certain aspects, the entire construct is a unitary woven, seamless construction.
HAMMOCK SLEEPING BAG
A hammock sleeping bag having a hammock support sheet with a head end, a foot end, a first edge, a second edge, and a transverse mid-point line from the first edge to the second edge at the approximate mid-point between the head end and the foot end, with a head hang strap affixed to the head end and a foot hang strap affixed to the foot end, where the head hang strap and the foot hang strap are configured to enable the hammock support sheet to be suspended between two points, with a top quilt affixed to the first edge, a bottom quilt affixed to the second edge, and where the hammock support sheet, the top quilt, and the bottom quilt are integral to the hammock sleeping bag, with a first closeable zipper enabling a removable closure of the top quilt to the second edge of the support sheet, with a second closeable zipper enabling a removable closure of the bottom quilt to the first edge of the support sheet, where the hammock support sheet has a first measured area and the bottom quilt has a second measured area, and where the bottom quilt has a centerline running from the head end to the foot end, were the second measured area is larger than the second measured area, so that when the hammock support sheet is suspended between two points, and the second closeable zipper is closed, the bottom quilt centerline does not contact the hammock support sheet at the transverse mid-point line, thereby creating an air gap between the hammock support sheet and the bottom quilt, so that when the hammock sleeping bag is in use, the bottom quilt along the centerline is not load-bearing at the air gap.
Self-deploying bivouac sack
A portable bivouac sack configured to be self-deploy when released from its compact storage configuration. The bivouac sack comprises an elongated bag shell made of waterproof material with an elongated ground piece and a top panel. The sack is closed on one end, open at an opposite end, and configured to receive a sleeping bag. The top panel is shorter than the ground piece to form a transverse opening into the bag shell and a longitudinally aligned pan. Disposed over the pan is a self-deploying frame that folds into a compact circular configuration for storage and automatically unfolds and self-deploys when released to form an expanded frame. Attached to the frame is a flexible outer cover that expands with the frame to form a dome over the pan. The frame cover extends downward towards the pan and a sliding connector selective attaches the frame cover to the pan to provide egress and ingress to the protected area under the dome. An optional outer cover is provided that fits over the dome.
SLEEPING BAG
A sleeping hag is provided. The sleeping hag includes an elongate shell defining an inner volume sized and shaped to receive a user therein, the shell having a head portion, a foot portion, a middle portion extending longitudinally between the head and foot portions, an overlying portion adapted to overlie the user during use, and an underlying portion adapted to underlie the user during use, wherein the shell is free from zippers. The sleeping bag further includes a hood being located in the head portion of the shell, the hood including an opening such that the overlying portion of the shell adjacent the opening is spaced from the underlying portion of the shell when the sleeping bag is laid out for use.
SLEEPING BAG
A sleeping bag is provided. The sleeping bag includes an elongate shell defining an inner volume sized and shaped to receive a user therein, the elongate shell having an overlying portion adapted to overlie the user during use, the overlying portion having an outer layer and an inner layer, an underlying portion adapted to underlie the user during use, and an opening disposed on the elongate shell. The sleeping bag further includes a comforter attached to the overlying portion of the elongate shell for selectively closing the opening, the comforter having a pair of pockets that are configured to extend transversely beyond the extent of the elongate shell.
Sleeping Bag with Variable Magnetic Closure Positions
A sleeping bag with variable magnetic closure positions includes an inner shell and an outer shell enclosing a filler material, forming a sleeping space. An opening for accessing the sleeping space is adjacent a first edge and a second edge. The first edge and the second edge are overlapping and having aligning magnetic bodies. The sleeping bag also has magnetic bodies arranged to attach to the first edge and to the second edge. When the first edge and the second edge are coupled together, an enlarged sleeping space is created. When the first edge and the second edge are overlapping so that magnetic bodies on the first edge and the second edge are coupled to magnetic bodies on the sleeping bag, a reduced sleeping space is created.
MAGNETIC SLEEPING BAG
A sleeping bag for providing easy and carefree exit and entry for a user, for providing comfort for the user by having an ability to extend appendages of the user out of the sleeping bag without having to open the sleeping bag in its entirety, and for providing a no-fail engage or disengage exit for potential emergency situations. The sleeping bag includes a lower layer, an upper layer, and a magnetic closure. The upper layer overlies the lower layer so as to form a user space therebetween for the user. The magnetic closure replaceably attaches a portion of the upper layer to a corresponding portion of the lower layer and provides the easy and carefree exit and entry for the user, provides comfort for the user by having an ability to extend appendages of the user out of the sleeping bag without having to open the sleeping bag in its entirety, and provides a no-fail engage/disengage exit for potential emergency situations.
