NOVELTY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INFUSION, DRINKING AND INHALATION OF BOTANICALS
We propose a novelty device and method for brewing, infusion, flavor extraction, drinking and inhalation of tea, herbs, coffee, and other botanicals. The device integrates an infuser, a straw, and an inhalator, into one compact, multi-functional device that uses a variable-pressure, multi-stage, multi-layer infusion and flavor extraction method. The invention creates a completely new experience allowing users to fully enjoy the flavors of botanical substances in both liquid and gas (vapor) forms. In addition, the device addresses some of the limitations in the existing packaging and usage of the abovementioned botanical substances as well as straw designs and liquid infusion methods.
PRE-FILLED DRINKING STRAW WITH A CROSS-SLIT VALVE CLOSURE ON BOTH ENDS
The invention is characterized in that the straw body (1) is consisting of two or more segments, which are attached together with connection (5) and that the straw body (1) on its both ends has a cross-slit valve (2, 3) closure and the valves (2, 3) and the straw body (1) are integrated by molecular adhesion. The inlet and outlet valves (2, 3) are of a slit type. The straw body (1) is preferably made of a thermoplastic material and the valves (2, 3) are preferably made of elastomer material. The edge of the straw body (1) is shaped to enable larger surface of the connection between the straw body (1) and the valve (2, 3). The said shape is preferably a groove (8). On the wall on the end of the straw body (1) a tongue-shaped groove (9) is formed on the surface side.
SCENTED STRAW
The present invention discloses a scented straw. The scented straw has a straw body and a scented portion or a scented ring, in order to generate fragrance. When the user uses the scented straw of the present invention to absorb the odorless liquid, by scenteding the aroma of the scented portion or the scented ring, the user thinks that he has tasted a flavorful drink, which scented and taste experience are different from using a traditional straw to absorb a liquid with food additives.
Separable drinking straw to facilitate cleaning of internal walls
Disclosed is a drinking straw that may be separated along its longitudinal axis into two halves so that the internal walls of the straw may be easily cleaned. The halves may then be rejoined together to again form a straw so that the straw may be easily reused.
Pre-salted beverage straw
A beverage drinking straw having a pre-salted tip/end for use with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages provides a plastic beverage drinking straw having a tip/end and a solid substance attached to the tip/end by a food grade adhesive. A method for producing the beverage straw with precoated tip/end is also provided.
Antimicrobial Straw
A polymeric tubular conduit including a polymeric tubular conduit wall having an outer tubular layer coaxially overlaying an inner tubular layer which defines a continuous tubular passage along a polymeric tubular conduit length of the polymeric tubular conduit; whereby the outer tubular layer, the inner tubular layer, or combinations thereof, include an amount of antimicrobial agent. The amount of antimicrobial agent can be sufficient to kill or inhibit growth of microorganisms in contact with a corresponding polymeric tubular conduit wall external surface, polymeric tubular conduit wall internal surface, or combinations thereof, of the polymeric tubular conduit wall.
Drinking device
A drinking device for the retronasal perception of an aroma substance. The drinking device comprises a storage container for drinking liquid, a head part, which can be fastened on the storage container and has a mouth end, at least one exchangeable aroma container, through which air can flow and which can be fastened on the head part, and a drinking straw, which is fixed in the head part. The drinking straw includes a transport channel for drinking liquid and an air channel for transporting aromatized air. The transport channel extends from the storage container towards the mouth end of the drinking device. The air channel extends from the at least one aroma container towards the mouth end.
EDIBLE STRAW FOR DRINK CONSUMPTION
The present invention relates to a straw made of an edible material for drink consumption comprising the following ingredients: water, gelling agent, sugar, a stabilising or thickening agent, and a plasticising or humectant agent. The present invention also relates to a method for obtaining the edible straw as well as to the straw obtained thereby and its use for drink consumption.
FILTERED DRINKING STRAW
A filtered drinking straw for reducing the amount of impurities in an aqueous solution and method for using same. The straw comprises a tube having a passageway containing filtering medium and plugs positioned in the tube to keep the filter medium in the straw. The plugs permit passage of the aqueous solution therethrough but not the passage of the filter medium. A first filter medium comprises granular, activated carbon (GAC) and/or bone char to deodorize and absorb impurities, especially organic matter including nitrates and fluoride. The second filter medium is preferably in the form of fine metal strands formed into a batting. Such strands may be spun or woven from high purity zinc and copper alloy. The first plug is a standard plain plug comprising polyolefin plastics such as polyethylene and polypropylene. The second plug is a carbon plug which could be impregnated with silver. The third plug is made with bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal material.
Drinking straw device to ionize, filter and flavor drinking water
A drinking straw device capable of ionizing, filtering, and/or flavoring water as well as tracking a user's water intake. The device may be generally straw-shaped and may have an ionizer component, an internal carbon filter, and/or a flavoring compartment for housing a flavoring component. The device may further have an intake tracking device, such as an internal impeller that spins as fluid is drawn through the device. The device may track the number of time the impeller spins, and thus the amount of fluid that has passed through the device, and may transmit that information to a software application on a smartphone or other device. A user may thus ionize, filter, and flavor his or her water while tracking his or her water intake throughout the day.
