A multi-component floor mat has a base or frame layer, intended to be positioned on the floor, that is dimensioned to accommodate a flexible textile mat or rug top layer portion that is releasably held in place on or in the base or frame layer by an attachment coupling feature associated with one or both portions, thereby allowing for the easy removal or replacement of the textile top layer of the mat and its economical laundering.

An article includes a surface adapted for presence in an environment containing odoriferous nitrogen-containing compounds, a bonding agent, and bacilli bacteria. A method for binding bacilli to a surface is also disclosed. First, the surface is provided. The surface is then heated and placed under pressure. Then, the bacilli and a bonding agent may be applied to the surface, either alone or as a pre-mixed composition. The pre-mixed composition may be in the form of an aqueous dispersion. A method for controlling odors from odoriferous nitrogen-containing compounds is also disclosed. The method includes applying bacilli bacteria to a surface and placing the surface in an area likely to include odoriferous nitrogen-containing compounds.

A chair mat for use with a rolling wheeled chair. The chair mat having a top surface and a floor surface. The chair surface having a series of features configured to restrain rolling movement of the chair when a person is seated in the chair. In particular, the mat serves to restrain unintentional rolling movement of the chair by providing a feature that sufficient force must be applied to overcome. The features utilize a series of depressions with a ridge provided between adjacent depressions. The depressions are configured with a shape to retain a wheel of a wheeled chair, such as those common in an office environment, in the depression. The depressions are defined by one or more ridges separating each ridge from neighboring depressions. The depressions can be arranged in parallel valleys with a ridge separating neighboring valleys. Alternatively the depressions can be arranged in series of bowls, with a ridge forming a lip of each bowl. The bowls are preferably arranged in rows, with alternating rows being preferable.

A slide mat is presented. The slide mat is a thin and stylish protective support upon which a heavy and/or large kitchen countertop appliance such as a stand mixer are set upon, particularly a surface such as a countertop. The mat allows the appliance to be moved, or slid, over a surface with a minimum of physical effort. The mat is placed upon a surface of any type of material including but not limited to: stone, granite, quartz, synthetic material, laminated composite, wood, polished concrete, or the like. The use of the mat upon any specific type of surface is not intended to be a limiting factor of the present invention.

The present invention relates to a novel one-piece bathroom rug or floor covering designed to accommodate the floor area near fixtures in a bathroom. The bathroom rug features a toilet rug portion for covering surface area in front of a toilet bowl, a shower rug portion for covering surface area in front of the shower or tub and a sink basin rug portion for covering surface area below and in front of a sink. The toilet rug portion includes a cut-out contoured to a toilet base and adapted to receive therein the toilet base. The bathroom rug is a multi-layered structure and absorbs water, increases comfort and safety, and improves the overall aesthetic of a bathroom.

An apparatus may include a first layer that includes a plurality of inlets and a surface feature; a second layer, where the surface feature opposes the second layer; an outlet, and a pattern defined on at least one of the first layer and the second layer, where the pattern defines a suction path from each inlet of the plurality of inlets to the outlet.

A moisture control mat that can be conveniently folded to reduce packaging size for the mat. The mat is particularity useful when placed adjacent urinals or toilets.

Painting in commercial, residential, and retail environments requires extreme care to avoid paint being deposited where it is not required. Drop cloths are commonly used to protect a floor or furniture during the painting process. However, these are generally simply plastic sheets to provide a barrier to the liquid paint and nothing more. Accordingly, it would be advantageous to provide a drop sheet or tarp that supports a liquid material drying process such as by dehydration, coagulate, etc. or form solid materials thereby reducing the instances of subsequent paint transfer from the drop sheet or tarp directly or indirectly to other surfaces and/or objects. It would also be advantageous to drop sheet or tarp that provides a non-slip surface which prevents the drop sheet from sliding around and remains well in place without additional weights, tape, etc.

Standing desks, such as fixed work surfaces or height-adjustable desks or computer/workstation supports, provide relief from computer or other desk work that might otherwise force a user to remain seated. However, concerns about utilization and comfort are points of resistance to standing desks. A smart pressure sensing mat is provided that may provide additional cushioning and comfort as well as a source of data input for record keeping, usage verification, user identification, and control signals. Signals may be utilized to report data (e.g., utilization, user operations, functions, etc.) and/or control components (e.g., trigger a standing desk to rise for standing use or lower for seated use, activate lights, etc.).

A disposable liquid-binding floor mat includes a water penetration layer, a water absorption layer, a water-proof layer and a self-adhesive layer. The water penetration layer is a thin piece of non-woven fabric and is superimposed on the water absorption layer. The water absorption layer is made of a hydrophilic thin plate and is superimposed between the water penetration layer and the water-proof layer. The water-proof layer is made of a water-proof film material and is superimposed between the water absorption layer and the self-adhesive layer. The self-adhesive layer is made of a self-adhesive material and is superimposed below the water-proof layer. The water penetration layer, the water absorption layer, the water-proof layer and the self-adhesive layer are bonded as an integrated non-sealed edge structure, and a deodorant is added into the water absorption layer.
