INTERLOCKING MODULAR MAT WITH SPONGE INSERT
20220064966 · 2022-03-03 ·

An interlocking modular mat having four sides has female connectors on two sides and male connectors on the other two sides so that the modular mat can interlock with an adjacent mat and its connectors. The modular mat is configured with a plurality of structures surrounding a periphery of a top portion of the mat. The plurality of structures in combination with an underside of the top portion of the mat form a cavity. A sponge insert is configured to fit in the cavity and have a height such that a portion of the sponge insert extends from a bottom side the mat body. With the sponge insert extending beyond the bottom side of the mat body, the sponge insert bottom face generally become the supporting bottom of the modular mat to provide a more cushioned feel for a mat user.

Floor Mat with Hidden Base Component

This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat with a hidden base component. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.

Reconfigurable rapid drying absorption mats. Such reconfigurable absorption mats include multiple connectable, disconnectable, and reconfigurable diatomaceous earth absorption substrates that are both sustainable and designed to instantly remove water from the surface thereof. Unlike traditional synthetic and cotton textile mats that absorb moisture and generate bacteria, according to the rapid drying absorption mats disclosed herein the component diatomaceous earth substrates do not produce mold. Such diatomaceous earth absorption mat components can each include connectable and disconnectable rubberized bottom polymer pads or webbing to prevent slipping and enable for drying of each individual diatomaceous earth substrate from multiple surfaces and sides thereof.

A modular rug system includes a plurality of rug elements spaced apart from and connected to one another via a plurality of elongated fasteners. Each fastener connects two neighboring rug elements to one another. Each fastener has a first elongated component extending under a pair of neighboring rug elements, a second component disposed on a top surface of one of the pair of neighboring rug elements, and a third component disposed on a top surface of the other of the pair of rug elements. The top surfaces of neighboring rug elements are respectively recessed at defined locations in order to receive the second and third components of the fastener therein.

MULTIPLE-COMPONENT FLOOR MAT SYSTEM

Multiple components of a floor mat system may each be formed of a resilient material such as foamed polyurethane. First and second channels are formed in the respective lower surfaces of first and second mat components, so as to inwardly extend from lateral boundaries thereof. The roofs of the channels are spaced above the general lower surfaces of the mat components. A first socket is formed to upwardly extend from the roof of the first channel, and a second socket is formed to upwardly extend from the roof of a second channel. A connector is used to join the mat components. Posts of the connector are received in the sockets, while a strap joining the posts is received within the first and second channels.

Border, edge or pattern carpet tile design, manufacture and installation

Design and manufacture of tufted articles, carpet tile webs and carpet tiles, and installation of carpet tiles, having different color, pile height, pile texture or other characteristics that, together with similar other such tiles, may be installed to create borders, edges or other multiple-tile designs, usually without any of the tiles looking out of place or improperly oriented relative to nap or the direction the tile is “facing.”

MODULAR AMBULATORY SURFACE

A modular ambulatory surface exhibits terrain variations for emulating a walking surface for ambulatory rehabilitation. Ambulatory mobility, or basic walking from alternated leg movements, is one of the most basic capabilities enjoyed by humans, and therefore can be devastating if suddenly compromised. A number of modular surfaces each exhibit different terrain qualities, and are joined together according to a prescribed sequence of desired, rehabilitative terrain. A flexible or resilient walking surface encapsulates shaped, load bearing elements that define the rehabilitative walking surface. Joinable edges have a pattern of protrusion, receptacles or similar fixtures for coupling to an adjacent module. A series of joined, modular surfaces allows simulation of an outdoor surface and variations thereof that are otherwise difficult to provide in a modern commercial facility with fixed planar flooring.

Progressive stage load distribution and absorption underlayment system

A progressive stage load distributing and absorbing system that lies below a superstructure material which is exposed to percussive forces. The progressive stage load distributing and absorbing system is interposed between the superstructure material and a foundation. The system has a barrier layer that lies below the superstructure material and an underlayment infrastructure positioned below the barrier layer. Included in the underlayment infrastructure are hat-shaped absorbing members that have a relatively compliant stage subsystem and one or more relatively stiff stage subsystems.

MODULAR MAT SYSTEM

The present disclosure relates to a modular mat system. More particularly, the disclosure is directed to a modular mat system with that may be built out using common pieces of mats. Specifically, a modular mat system with a mat piece with a top plate with inserts, a bottom plate with a plurality of tabs and recesses operative to engage with further mat pieces to build a mat system is discussed. The modular mat system is operative to remove water and other detritus from shoes of a user or other such platform moving across the mat system and feed it to a perimeter drain below the system.
