More particularly, the invention relates to a live strain of Staphylococcus aureus which lacks adenosine synthase A (AdsA) activity, to a vaccine against Staphylococcus aureus infection comprising said live strain, and a method for preventing and/or treating Staphylococcus aureus infection in a subject by administering said live strain.
