A movable body is configured to receive a package at a first location and wait for a recipient at a second location that is different from the first location. The movable body includes: a body configured to perform autonomous driving; a storage box attached to the body, the storage box being configured to temporarily store the package; and a controller configured to move the body from the first location to the second location.
System for parcel transport and tracking operated responsive to data bearing records
A system for parcel transport and tracking that operates responsive to data bearing records includes a plurality of geographically spaced repositories. The exemplary repositories include a plurality of enclosed compartments. Access to each of the enclosed compartments is controlled by a respective door which is in operative connection with a respective lock. Central system circuitry is in operative connection with the repositories and is operative to control access to the compartments and to cause compartments to be selectively accessible so that selected parcels may be placed therein or removed therefrom by authorized item handlers.
Shape identification device and delivery box
A shape identification device includes an accommodation chamber for accommodating an object to be measured such that the same can be removed from and inserted into the accommodation chamber, a first imaging unit for imaging the object accommodated in the accommodation chamber, and an image processing unit for carrying out image processing on the basis of the image information imaged by the first imaging unit and recognizing the external shape of the object. The image processing unit includes a storage unit having, stored therein beforehand, a plurality of types of sample external shapes corresponding to objects to be measured and a shape recognition unit for comparison and discrimination of the external shape information from the first imaging unit and the external shape information stored in the storage unit and recognition of an external shape matching or approximating the external shape information from the first imaging unit.
Systems and methods of securing transport containers to attachment points
Securing systems and methods of securing a transport container to an attachment point. In one embodiment, the securing system includes an actuator, an attachment structure, and an electronic controller. The attachment structure is dimensioned to complement the actuator. The electronic controller is operably coupled to the actuator for attaching and releasing the actuator to the attachment structure.
Systems and methods for pharmaceutical package delivery
A pharmaceutical package for carrying a pharmaceutical container includes a first housing and a second housing in the first housing. The second housing defines a compartment sized and shaped to receive and carry the pharmaceutical container. A gas chamber is disposed between the first and second housings. The gas chamber is configured to hold a gas in an inflated state of the gas chamber. A passage extends from the first housing to the second housing and defines a passageway extending there-between to allow the pharmaceutical container to be positioned in the compartment of the second housing by moving the pharmaceutical container through the passageway. One or more supports are connected to and extending between the first housing and the second housing. The one or more supports secure and hold the second housing in the first housing.
Apparatus for secure storage and attachment to existing structures
A secure, lockable folding storage box is disclosed herein. The storage box may attach to doors or walls. The storage box and fastening mechanism is adjustable to accommodate doors of various sizes. The storage box may also be mounted to any fixed or mobile structure. The storage box may be remotely locked, or unlocked, and/or have a programmable key access code interface.
Emergency evacuation container and service for protection of valuables
A container for the storage of valuables and a service to retrieve the container is disclosed. The container is designed to contain valuables and important documents, and protect these contents during an emergency evacuation situation. The container is waterproof and can float in water. The container can also be made of a flame-resistant material. The container can emit a homing signal to facilitate the retrieval of the container in the event of an emergency situation. A container retrieval service can initiate a retrieval of the container in response to a determination that a disaster is likely to occur in the region where the container is located.
Article storage and retrieval apparatus
An article storage and retrieval apparatus includes a main frame; an accommodating assembly, having an article storage state and a folded state, the accommodating assembly including a closed frame rotatably arranged on the main frame and an openable door, and the closed frame being configured to enclose an article storing space between the accommodating assembly and the main frame in the article storing state; a first locking assembly, configured to realize locking between the closed frame and the main frame and allow opening of the article storage and retrieval apparatus after unlocking; and a second locking assembly, configured to realize locking between the closed frame and the openable door and allow the accommodating assembly to switch from the folded state to the article storage state after unlocking.
