Gyroscopically stabilized drinkware

A cup for use with those having muscular tremors provides a battery-operated gyroscope stabilizing the cup body as supported by a handle communicating with the cup body through one or more pivot joints. The cup body may also be weighted to be naturally stabilized in a vertical orientation.

TILT COMPENSATION FOR TREMOR CANCELLATION DEVICE
20210298982 · 2021-09-30 ·

A method of tremor reduction in a handheld device includes measuring a tremor motion and a tilt motion with a motion tracking module (“MTM”) disposed in a housing of the handheld device. In response to measuring the tremor motion, an attachment arm is moved with at least one motion generating mechanism to reduce the tremor motion in the attachment arm. Additionally, in response to measuring the tilt motion, the attachment arm is moved with the at least one motion generating mechanism to resist the attachment arm hitting a hard stop in the handheld device.

A handheld device is provided. The handheld device includes: a functional body to be used by a user; a handle provided with a first detection circuit configured to detect a movement state of the handle to acquire hand tremor information about a hand of the user; a movable connector through which the functional body is movably connected to the handle in such a manner that the functional body is capable of moving relative to the handle; a movement mechanism connected to the functional body and configured to drive the functional body to move relative to the handle; and a control circuit configured to control an operating state of the movement mechanism in accordance with the hand tremor information acquired by the first detection circuit, to drive the functional body to perform compensating movement relative to the handle, thereby to maintain the functional body at a selected position.

Malleable cookware handle

A malleable handle for use in conjunction with a cooking device (or integral to the cooking device) may include an outer surface adapted to conform to a user's hand(s) during use. A user may grasp the malleable handle with his/her hand(s) and the pressure from the user's grip may deform the malleable handle thereby creating an ergonomically-shaped handle customized to the user's hand(s).

ADAPTIVE ASSISTED GRIP APPARATUS

Implementations of an adaptive assisted grip apparatus are provided. In some implementations, the adaptive assisted grip apparatus comprises a holder and a wrist strap.

In some implementations, a method of using the adaptive assisted grip apparatus comprises inserting a makeup applicator or other suitable item into the holder, placing the wrist strap around a user's wrist, grasping and holding the makeup applicator or other suitable item using the holder, and using the wrist strap to prevent the makeup applicator or other suitable item inserted in the holder from falling to the floor/ground or otherwise being dropped if/when the user loses grip of the holder.

Cookware handle

A cookware handle includes a grip comprising a first side, a second side, a pocket between the first side and the second side, a first aperture in the first side, and a second aperture in the second side. The cookware handle also includes a shaft comprising a proximal end configured to be coupled to cookware, a distal portion positioned in the pocket, and a third aperture aligned with the first aperture and the second aperture. The cookware handle also includes a plug including a ribbed thumb grip aligned with a surface of the first side of the grip. The plug retains the grip on the shaft by filling the first aperture, the second aperture, and the third aperture.

ANTI-TREMOR TOOL, ANTI-TREMOR DEVICE THEREOF, AND AUXILIARY HOLDING DEVICE
20210007519 · 2021-01-14 ·

An anti-tremor device including a tool unit, a carrying portion, and an anti-tremor module is disclosed. The tool unit is coupled or mounted on the carrying portion. The anti-tremor module is disposed on the carrying portion. The anti-tremor module includes a rotary transmission mechanism and a control module. The control module includes a sensing unit and a control unit. The sensing unit is coupled to the control unit, and the control module is coupled to the rotary transmission mechanism. When the sensing unit senses the tremor of the carrying portion, the control unit controls the rotary transmission mechanism to increase the inertia of the anti-tremor module to eliminate or reduce the tremor of the carrying portion.

Method and system for a feedback controller for a handheld tool
10851867 · 2020-12-01 · ·

Systems and methods for tracking unintentional muscle movements of a user and stabilizing a handheld tool while it is being used are described. The method may include measuring, with a first inertial measuring unit (IMU), at least an orientation of a housing of the handheld tool, and measuring, with a second IMU, at least an orientation or an attachment arm extending from the housing of the handheld tool. The method may also include storing the orientation of the housing and the orientation of the attachment arm in a memory. Furthermore, the method may include controlling, with a processing logic, a first motion generating mechanism and a second motion generating mechanism to move the attachment arm relative to the housing based on the measured orientation of the housing and the measured orientation of the attachment arm to stabilize motion of a user-assistive device attached to a distal end of the attachment arm.
