An assembly for accomplishing any of drone takeoff/landing, recharging, or package transfer/delivery. The assembly includes a base supporting at least one extendable member. A receiving platform is secured atop the member and a controller interfaces the assembly with the drone for issuing a set of commands for guiding the drone relative to the platform. The command instructions include at least an instruction to elevate/lower the platform at any point for the exchange or landing. Additional command instructions provide for managing each of pre-exchange, during-exchange or post-exchange interactions. The assembly also provides secure retention and post-exchange access by a recipient in the instance of a drone delivered and securely retained package.
SECURE CONTAINER FOR RECEIVING AND PREVENTING UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO ARTICLES
An apparatus for receiving and preventing unauthorized access to deliveries has an enclosure, a moveable roof on the enclosure, a rotatable basket within the enclosure, and a connecting member coupling motion of the roof and the basket. The basket is rotatable between an upright and an upside-down position. The roof is moveable between an open position in which the basket is accessible and a closed position in which the basket access is blocked. When the roof is moved to the open position, the connecting member rotates the basket to the upright position thereby allowing a user to place the article into the basket. Moving the roof to the closed position rotates the basket to the upside-down position thereby causing the article to drop out of the basket towards the bottom of the enclosure. The enclosure may open into a chute or building for delivering the parcels to a remote location.

A smart and secure mailbox includes a mailbox and a secured storage. The mailbox and the secured storage are connected through a shared section. The shared section encloses an automated flap. The shared section also integrates a weight sensor. Upon a delivery of a mail, the weight sensor provides an activation signal which triggers the automated flap. The automated flap activates and provides a gap between the mailbox and the secured storage. The delivered mail falls through the gap. Upon a placement of the delivered mail within the secured storage, the automated flap closes which secures the delivered mail within the secured storage.

A measuring device for measuring a volume variation of liquid received in a bottle includes a bottle sleeve and a weight detecting module. A first accommodating space, a second accommodating space and a first opening are formed on the bottle sleeve. The first opening is communicated with the first accommodating space. The bottle sleeve is elastic. An inner diameter of at least one portion of the first accommodating space is less than an outer diameter of the bottle. The bottle sleeve holds the bottle when the bottle is inserted into the first accommodating space via the first opening. The weight detecting module is disposed inside the second accommodating space to measure weights of the bottle and the liquid at different time points and to determine the volume variation of the liquid according to a difference of the weights of the bottle and the liquid at different time points.

The slide is one or more of rotatable about the vertical, pivotable about the horizontal and adjustable in length between the beginning of the slide and the end of the slide in order to deliver the consignment obtained from the transporting device at the beginning of the slide into one of the plurality of receiving compartments at the end of the slide.
Detachable Compartment for In-home Delivery
An entry device that is attachable to a door that pivots relative to a door frame to separate an outer area from an inner area is disclosed. The device has a compartment made of a flexible material having a first side and a second side. The flexible material has a front surface that faces the outer area and a back surface that extends into the inner area. At least one first attachment point is disposed along the first side that attaches the compartment to the door and at least one second attachment point is disposed along the second side that attaches the compartment to the door frame. According to the present invention, upon opening of the door, the compartment is configured to allow partial entry of an object to the inner area and prevent full entry by a person from the outer area. A first lock disposed along the first side configured to lock the door, wherein the first lock can be unlocked from the inner area and outer areas and a second lock disposed along the second side configured to lock the door frame, wherein the second lock can be unlocked from the inner area and outer areas.

An assembly for accomplishing package transfer to and from a drone. The assembly includes a base supporting at least one extendable member. A package receiving platform is secured atop the member and a control system interfaces the assembly with the drone for issuing a set of command instructions for guiding and positioning the drone relative to the platform and for accomplishing package transfer between the drone and the platform. The command instructions include at least an instruction to elevate the platform at any point prior to package exchange and a subsequent instruction to retract the platform at any point following package exchange. Additional command instructions provide for managing each of pre-exchange and post-exchange of the package, such as for providing secure retention and post-exchange access by the recipient in the instance of a drone delivered and securely retained package.

An eating utensil (100) is provided which comprises a handle (120) and a food area (110). The eating utensil (100) comprises an accelerometer sensor a gyroscope sensor (150). With the accelerometer sensor the gyroscope sensor (150), the movement of the eating utensil (100) as well as its orientation is detected. The orientation as well as a movement of the eating utensil (100) can be compared with a predetermined ideal traversal path and orientation of an eating utensil (100) and the user may receive corresponding feedback if the detected path or orientation of the eating utensil (100) differs from the ideal utensil traversal path or orientation.
