TOOL ASSEMBLY
20230019183 · 2023-01-19 ·

An improved assembly is described. The assembly includes a shaft affixed on a first side to a first handle and affixed to a tool on a second side. A first end of a continuous cord is affixed to the tool at a first location and a second end of the continuous cord is affixed to the tool at a second location. A second handle is affixed to a loop formed by the continuous cord. During use, a user grasps both handles, places the tool at a base of a payload, and pushes the assembly to load the payload onto the tool. By bending the users knees and not putting undue strain on the users back, the user may utilize the handles to lift and move the payload to a desired location.

Pivoting shovel assembly
11516954 · 2022-12-06 ·

A pivoting shovel assembly for reducing the effort required to lift and empty a shovel includes a tool. The tool includes a shaft. A first handle is attached to and extends upwardly away from the shaft. A head is attached to and extends downwardly away from the shaft opposite the first handle. A pole has an upper end and a lower end with a foot attached to the lower end. A coupler is attached to and extends between the pole and the shaft such that the pole and the shaft are pivotable with respect to each other. The coupler allows pivoting wherein upper halves of the pole and the shaft are positionable in a first position orientated parallel to each other and in a second position wherein the first handle is pivoted rearwardly with respect to the upper end.

Gardening Tool

A gardening tool includes an elongated body having a first end and a second end. An arm attachment portion is coupled substantially at the first end of the elongated body. The arm attachment portion is configured to at least partly wrap around a user's forearm. The tool also includes a pivotally adjustable handle that is coupled to and extends substantially laterally from the elongated body. The handle is disposed between the first and the second end of the elongated body. The tool further includes a pad that is coupled to the elongated body. The pad is disposed between the handle and the arm attachment portion, and its position is adjustable along a longitudinal axis of the elongated portion. A adapter mechanism is disposed at the second end of the elongated body. The adapter mechanism is configured to allow for interchanging of gardening tool heads.

Auxiliary handle attachment for a material-moving tool
09775272 · 2017-10-03 ·

An auxiliary handle accessory attaches to a shovel's handle-shaft via a folding “clamshell” type clamp, with an intermediate stem member attached to the clamp, and a grip handle screwed into this intermediate stem member, completing the assembly. The intermediate stem member has a ball-knob at the bottom that becomes entirely enclosed by half-sphere “cups” in each of the clamshell clamp halves. When these clamshell-halves close together, they form a simple yet robust socket around the ball, and comprise a ball-and-socket joint. Advantageously, the clamshell-clamp halves are bolted together, insuring a strong and robust connection. This design accommodates the “to-and-fro” motion in the vertical axis during shoveling.

Rotatable shovel handle
09763371 · 2017-09-19 ·

A rotatable shovel handle assembly for mounting on a shovel including, a rotatable grip portion; and a lift handle portion hingedly attached to the rotatable grip portion. Wherein, the rotatable grip portion includes a base sleeve portion and a rotatable sleeve portion, and wherein the rotatable sleeve portion is disposed about the base sleeve portion and adapted to rotate thereabout.

Handle With Offset Connector
20220168885 · 2022-06-02 ·

An offset connector subdivides a long, slender tool or implement handle. The offset connector may be provided with one or more unitary or replaceable grips. The additional grips serve as secondary or tertiary hand holds that enable more adaptable and capable ergonomic manipulation of the tool or implement. The offset connector is inserted intermediate between a primary handle grip and the tool or implement head, thereby subdividing the long slender tool or implement handle into at least two separate handle segments. Each handle segment is inserted into a handle segment receiver socket, and is affixed therein using a bolt, screw, or other fastener that is longitudinally co-axial with the longitudinal axis of the handle segment. Some embodiments establish fixed spacing between the primary handle, secondary handle, and implement. Other embodiments provide variable spacing therebetween.

Support Aid For Digging
20230270034 · 2023-08-31 ·

A support aid for digging and prying when using a shovel is disclosed. The support aid allows a shovel user to support the weight of a load by use of a support shaft. A user pivots a load from one position to another more ergonomic position using the support shaft. An end of the support shaft has a channel freely slidable along a handle of a shovel, for allowing a fulcrum, which is defined by a point of contact between the handle and the channel, to be quickly moved along the handle. The channel is configured for allowing the shovel shaft to freely rotate about an axis, enabling a user to quickly change a shovel blade angle relative to the ground or relative to a load at any time. In this way, ergonomic application of the inherent mechanical advantage of a handle of a shovel is provided to users of the support.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DUAL SHAFTED MULTI-TOOL
20220152809 · 2022-05-19 ·

Disclosed embodiments include a two-shafted multi-tool including a primary shaft having a D-handle at one end and a releasable tool connector at the opposite end, and a secondary shaft having a D-handle at one end and a rotating connector at the opposite end, and wherein the rotating connector couples the secondary shaft to the primary shaft substantially adjacent to the releasable tool connector. Further disclosed embodiments include at least one adjustable shaft handle that is releasably couplable to either the primary shaft or the secondary shaft.

Ergonomic grip for weed trimmer
11730081 · 2023-08-22 ·

The present disclosure provides a handle attachment for attaching to a main shaft of a weed trimmer. The handle attachment comprises a clamping mechanism, a shaft coupled to the clamping mechanism, and a grip coupled to the shaft. The clamping mechanism is configured to be coupled to the main shaft of the weed trimmer closer to a distal end of the main shaft than to the proximal end of the main shaft. The shaft is configured to extend towards the proximal end of the main shaft and at least partially above the main shaft. The grip is configured to be positioned closer to the proximal end of the main shaft than to the distal end of the main shaft. The grip is further positioned above a standard weed trimmer and perpendicular the main shaft. Positioning the grip above the standard grip reduces back and hip strain on the user.
