APPARATUS FOR IN-SITU RECONDITIONING OF A MEDIA USED IN AN EFFLUENT TREATMENT BED
An apparatus for in-situ reconditioning of a media used in an effluent treatment bed is disclosed, in which passage of effluent has become impeded by clogging matter within the media, the bed having been planted with vegetation having roots extending into the media. The apparatus includes a frame supporting a superstructure operable to be disposed above a surface of the bed when in operation, a pair of spaced apart arms having distal ends extending downwardly from the frame, and an agitator extending between the pair of arms and having tines for sub-surface tilling of the media. The agitator is coupled to a drive system operable to cause rotation thereof. A lifter bar is disposed between the arms above the agitator such that when the frame is advanced through the bed the lifter bar passes through the bed below a primary root zone of the vegetation lifting and separating the primary root zone while the agitator tills the media below causing clogging matter to be separated from the media.
Robotic litter processing system
A system for harvesting nitrogen, comprising a motored robotic litter processing vehicle including an elongate housing creating an inner space for mounting components. A nitrogen harvester box connected to a rear portion of the vehicle is provided including a vacuum canopy connecting four sides to a floor, and wheels. A scoop level to ground having an opening facing the vehicle is enabled to collect litter material including nitrogen. A sieve screen having a mesh size positioned laterally at a height above the floor enables nitrogen particles smaller than the mesh size to fall through the sieve and nitrogen particles larger than the mesh size to be captured on a top surface of the sieve, wherein a vacuum chute collects the particles smaller than the mesh size and deposits them into a collection bin.

Systems and methods for tilling ground materials
Systems and methods for tilling ground material are provided. According to one embodiment, a tiller system is provided comprising two coiled conical blades that penetrate ground material to provide both forward propulsion and tillage of the ground material. An operator of the tiller system can adjust the angle at which the coiled conical blades penetrate the ground material to achieve an optimal balance of forward propulsion, stability, and tillage of the ground material.
