11707006 · 2023-07-25 ·

A land clearing attachment for a tractor device includes semi-helically oriented teeth, knives, or blades radially outward from an outer surface of a rotor. Each tooth, knife, or blade is part of a row of teeth, knives, or blades. Each row is oriented with an offset angle such that the spirally orientation completes angular offset of about 90° or less.

Rotary spider tine for tillage implement

A tillage implement has a gang of rotary spider tines, each spider tine having a center portion and a plurality of teeth forming a peripheral edge of the spider tine. Each tooth is rearwardly curving from the intended direction of rotation and has a curved leading edge and a curved trailing edge that taper to a rounded outward tip. A distal end of each tooth is angled relative to a tooth base to form a flared paddle such that the flared paddle is angled with respect to the tooth base and center portion of the spider tine. A first set of teeth have flared paddles angled in a first direction and a second set have flared paddles angled in a direction opposite said first direction, with the first set being alternately positioned with the second set in a circumferential pattern around the peripheral edge of the spider tine.

APPARATUS FOR IN-SITU RECONDITIONING OF A MEDIA USED IN AN EFFLUENT TREATMENT BED

An apparatus for in-situ reconditioning of a media used in an effluent treatment bed is disclosed, in which passage of effluent has become impeded by clogging matter within the media, the bed having been planted with vegetation having roots extending into the media. The apparatus includes a frame supporting a superstructure operable to be disposed above a surface of the bed when in operation, a pair of spaced apart arms having distal ends extending downwardly from the frame, and an agitator extending between the pair of arms and having tines for sub-surface tilling of the media. The agitator is coupled to a drive system operable to cause rotation thereof. A lifter bar is disposed between the arms above the agitator such that when the frame is advanced through the bed the lifter bar passes through the bed below a primary root zone of the vegetation lifting and separating the primary root zone while the agitator tills the media below causing clogging matter to be separated from the media.

Cutting disk and system for vertically mowing turf

A disk for vertically cutting grass surfaces, the disk includes a center plate mountable to a shaft and a plurality of teeth extending from a circumferential edge of the center plate. Each tooth comprises a base extending from the circumferential edge of the center plate and at least one blade extending from the base at an offset angle. Each blade includes a neck extending from the base at the offset angle, and a tip extending radially outward from the neck relative to a center plane of the center plate such that the tip is offset from the center plane. The tip also extends from the neck at a yaw angle relative to the center plane such that when the disk is rotated about a rotational axis of the shaft a leading edge of the tip rotates in a different rotational plane than a trailing edge of the tip.

Actuator assembly

A soil penetrating apparatus having an automatic tool (e.g., aerator tine) depth control system and method. The system includes an actuator that sets and controls tine depth, a sensor that monitors tine depth, and a controller that controls the actuator in response to the sensor. In some embodiments, the actuator is a hydraulic actuator, wherein once tine depth is set, flow to the actuator is bypassed. A relief may be provided to allow the tines to lift to a shallower depth temporarily when soil hardness exceeds a threshold. The system may then automatically return the tines to the pre-selected depth once soil conditions permit.

AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT WITH OPEN-ENDED ROLLING BASKETS
20220046844 · 2022-02-17 ·

An agricultural implement includes a row unit having a main body and a shank and a ground working tool operatively connected to the shank, the shank extending from the main body. The agricultural implement further includes an arm extending rearwardly from the main body of the row unit. There is a basket assembly including a first and a second rolling basket on opposite sides of an end of the arm, wherein the first and the second rolling basket are independently rotatable to break up clumps of soil. The first and the second rolling baskets each have an annular ring at an open outer end.

Detachable tiller tines

A tiller includes an engine, a mobility assembly, and a rotating assembly. The mobility assembly is operably coupled to the engine to provide mobility of the tiller responsive to operation of the engine. The rotating assembly is selectively coupled to the engine to provide rotation of the rotating assembly. The rotating assembly includes a rotatable shaft configured to turn when the rotation assembly is operably coupled to the engine, and one or more sets of tines disposed on respective tine assemblies. Each of the tine assemblies includes a hollow shaft for receiving the rotatable shaft. The one or more sets of tines extend radially outward from the respective tine assemblies.

TOOTH AND TOOTHHOLDER FOR INDUSTRIAL MULCHING APPARATUS
20170259271 · 2017-09-14 ·

A tooth and a toothholder for a mulching apparatus. The tooth includes a body, a cutting element mounted to the body, and a mounting element projecting from the body. The toothholder includes a mounting recess for receiving the mounting element. The mounting element engages the mounting recess to prevent rotation of the tooth relative to the toothholder. The mounting element may be shaped to engage with the toothholder to prevent rotation of the tooth relative to the toothholder. The mounting element may include a plurality of outer engagement surfaces. The plurality of outer engagement surfaces may define an exterior profile of the mounting element that is polygonal in shape.

CYLINDRICAL DEVICE WITH KNIVES CONNECTED THERETO

A method for a cylindrical device includes semi-helically oriented teeth, knives, or blades radially outward from an outer surface of the cylindrical device or rotor is provided. Each tooth, knife, or blade is part of a row of teeth, knives, or blades. Each row is oriented with an offset angle such that the spirally orientation completes angular offset of about 90° or less. The knives may have sharpened edges that are oriented to cut on different planes as the cylindrical device rotates. The knives may be held in place by holders that have configurations to oriented the knives at certain angles.

Tilling apparatus
11805716 · 2023-11-07 · ·

A tilling apparatus and a method of tilling soils which includes the use of a rotational shaft having a number of cutter assemblies located at spaced apart locations on the shaft in which each cutter assembly has a multitude of blades which rotate as the rotary shaft rotates to form a plurality of spaced apart trenches having the same spacing as the spacing of the cutters, and a width caused by the width of the blades. As the blades dig the trench, the soil contacted by the blades is granulated and is tossed about by the spinning blades so that some soil falls back into the trench and some falls along the periphery of the trench to form rows of aerated granules which promote enhanced growth of plants or seeds in the trench and along the edge of the trench to improve the yield of pasture having the trenches. Various attachments can be provided on the tilling apparatus, either in front of or towards the rear of the spinning blades for different purposes, such as rippers, seeders, levellers, or similar. The advantage of the tilling apparatus is that the soil is formed into granules which are used to form an aerated array of soil granules having enhanced growing properties for plants.
