Winged Agricultural Implement with Steerable Transport Wheels
A towable agricultural implement, having a center frame and two wing frames pivotally coupled on the center frame to move between a field frame position extending laterally outward and a range of transport positions extending generally rearward, further includes a transport wheel on each wing frame that is pivotal about an upright steering axis through a range of wheel positions including a neutral transport wheel position for rolling forwardly. Each transport wheel is pivotal from the neutral transport wheel position in either one of two opposing steering directions under control of a steering actuator through an overall range of greater than 90 degrees. The wheels can be steered in a common direction during transport. A control system can also attempt to maintain a constant angle between the center section and the wings to allow reversing while in transport mode.
TOWED WINGED AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT WITH FORWARDLY FOLDING WING SECTIONS
A towed winged agricultural implement comprises a center frame section arranged for mounting behind a towing vehicle relative to a forward direction of travel and a pair of wing frame sections having respective inner ends which are pivotally coupled at transversely opposite sides of the center frame section. The wing frame sections are movable relative to the center frame section between a working configuration extending forwardly and transversely outwardly in opposite directions from the center frame section, and a transport configuration extending forwardly from the center frame section to be parallel to the forward direction of travel and located adjacent the sides of the towing vehicle.
Agricultural machine and folding method for an agricultural machine
An agricultural machine includes two side units and a chassis that extends in a longitudinal direction and is equipped with two wheels, each side unit being fitted to pivot in relation to the chassis around a folding axis parallel to a median plane of the chassis. Each side unit includes a tool unit connected to the chassis by an arm and being able to occupy a work position in which the length of the tool unit extends transversely to the longitudinal direction. Each side unit is also able to occupy a transport position in which the length and width of the tool unit are parallel to the median plane. The machine includes a tilter articulated with the chassis around one tilting axis oriented transversely to the longitudinal direction, and in the transport position of the side units, each tool unit is closer to the median plane than the respective arm.
AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT WITH END WHEEL ASSEMBLY
An end wheel assembly for transforming an implement frame from a transport position to a field position is provided. The end wheel assembly can have an end wheel, a wheel pivot rotatably connected to the end wheel, a wheel member pivotally connected to the wheel pivot, at least one attachment bracket attached to the wheel member and pivotally attachable to the implement frame, a wheel actuator to raise and lower the end wheel assembly, and a guide plate. The guide plate can have a channel, a first end connected to the wheel member, and a second end connected to the wheel pivot. The channel can be positioned to receive a positioning member when the end wheel assembly is pivoted downwards and to rotate the guide plate causing the wheel pivot and end wheel to rotate relative to the wheel member and turn the end wheel outwards.
Side folding toolbar for chemical applicator
A multi-row agricultural soil treatment implement includes a semi-trailed carriage and a rearward folding toolbar. The toolbar is suspended from the semi-trailed carriage through parallel links and includes a center section, flex hinges, main wings, main wing latches, and outer flip wings operatively connected to hydraulic cylinders to move them between transport and field position. The main wings fold rearward relative to the center section and are supported by a transport rack but they retain the ability to pivot up or down as needed for ground contour following capability or row end turning.
IMPLEMENT WING CASTER WHEEL FOR TRANSPORT
An agricultural implement has a hitch frame, a center frame pivotally attached rearward of the hitch frame about a hitch pivot axis. Wing frames are pivotally attached to ends of the center frame and a center actuator is pivots the center and wing frames from a rearward extending operating position to an upward extending transport position. Caster wheels are pivotally mounted on front sides of the wing frames about caster and transport axes. In the operating position, the caster axes are oriented vertically and the transport axes are oriented horizontally, and in the initial transport position, the caster axes are oriented horizontally, perpendicular to the hitch pivot, the transport axes are oriented vertically, and caster wheel actuators pivot the caster wheels 90 degrees about the transport axes to align the caster axes with the hitch pivot axis. The caster wheels support the wing frames in both operating and transport positions.

An agricultural implement includes a frame having a longitudinal axis and laterally opposed sides and motive supports mounted to and supporting the frame. The agricultural implement further includes a first wing carried by the frame and at least one second wing, in which each second wing is pivotably connected to the first wing. The agricultural implement also includes an elevator mechanism configured to raise and lower the first wing and the second wing. Each second wing is connected to the first wing by a wing pivot assembly that includes a skewed hinge pivotably connecting one of the second wings to the first wing. The wing pivot assembly allows each second wing to pivot with respect to the first wing between an operating position and a transport position, in which the skewed hinge defines a first pivot axis oriented at an acute angle with respect to the longitudinal axis.
