Modular meter system for a dry product applicator
A meter wheel system for a dry agricultural product applicator can include a bank of meter assemblies made from modular meter units. In one aspect, each meter assembly in the bank can be made from modular meter units. The modular meter units can be connected in a stacked configuration to provide a specific overall length to achieve a corresponding flow rate and then banked together to form the system. A bank of meter assemblies made from modular meter units can be secured between top and bottom plates. The plates can be bolted to each other and have receptacles that receive protrusions from top and bottom surfaces of the meter assemblies. Lengths of meter assemblies can be picked based on particular delivery rates for the section it feeds. An overall length of each meter assembly can be a multiple of a length of the modular meter unit.
Work Machines Incorporating Fertilizer Opener Assemblies, Fertilizer Opener Assemblies Therefor, and Methods of Operating Work Machines
Work machines, fertilizer opener assemblies for work machines, and methods of operating work machines are disclosed herein. A work machine includes a chassis, a frame, and a fertilizer opener assembly. The frame is coupled to the chassis for movement relative thereto. The fertilizer opener assembly is coupled to the frame to selectively form trenches in the soil for the deposition of fertilizer. The fertilizer opener assembly includes an actuator that is extendable and retractable to vary a length of the actuator and a cutting implement coupled to the actuator. Operation of the actuator drives movement of the cutting implement between a cutting position, in which the cutting implement makes contact with the soil to form trenches therein, and a transport position, in which the cutting implement is raised above the soil.
Deflector of an agricultural agitation system
The present disclosure is directed to an agitating system having a sub-hopper configured to receive particulate material, an agitator disposed within the sub-hopper and configured to promote movement of the particulate material through the sub-hopper, and a deflector configured to block a portion of the particulate material from exerting a force onto the agitator as the particulate material flows through the sub-hopper. The deflector is positioned such that the agitator extends beyond a first distal edge and a second distal edge of the deflector along a lateral axis.
In-line tandem axle assembly
In one embodiment, an in-line tandem axle assembly comprising: a tandem wheel arm (46); a pair of wheel connecting assemblies (44A, 44B), each comprising a hub (60A, 60B) and a spindle (58A, 58B); a pair of mounts (50A, 50B) coupled respectively to the pair of wheel connecting assemblies; a pair of wheels (52A, 52B) coupled respectively to the pair of wheel connecting assemblies, the pair of wheels separated by the tandem wheel arm and in a same fore-and-aft position; and plural pairs of parallel links (48A, 48B) of equal length pivotably mounted to the pair of mounts and pivotably mounted to the tandem wheel arm.
LARGE SEALING LID WITH SLIDES AND LOCK
A closure assembly includes a tank opening flange that surrounds a tank opening of a supply tank and a tank lid that covers the tank opening. The tank lid is operable between open and closed positions. A compression seal is attached to an underside of the tank lid and is disposed between the tank opening flange and the tank lid when the tank lid is in the closed position. A pair of guides are attached to opposite sides of the tank opening flange wherein each of the pair of guides defines a track opening to receive a plurality of sliding mechanisms attached to the tank lid. The track opening guides the sliding mechanisms and the tank lid around the tank opening flange such that the compression seal does not engage the tank opening flange when the tank lid is operated between the closed and open positions.
IN-LINE TANDEM AXLE ASSEMBLY
In one embodiment, an in-line tandem axle assembly comprising: a tandem wheel arm; a pair of wheel connecting assemblies, each comprising a hub and a spindle; a pair of mounts coupled respectively to the pair of wheel connecting assemblies; a pair of wheels coupled respectively to the pair of wheel connecting assemblies, the pair of wheels separated by the tandem wheel arm and in a same fore-and-aft position; and plural pairs of parallel links of equal length pivotably mounted to the pair of mounts and pivotably mounted to the tandem wheel arm.
Metering device for metering bulk material
A metering device and a distributing machine for metering free-flowing bulk material, in particular seeds and/or fertilizer, from a container, using a metering device. The metering device includes a delivery channel with an inlet and a metering outlet, and a pressure compensation section disposed in the delivery channel between the inlet and the metering outlet. The pressure compensation section is actuated by a pressure difference between the delivery channel and the surroundings.
Agricultural agitating and leveling system
A particulate material sensing and agitation control system of an agricultural system having a drive system configured to operate an agitating system, and a controller having a memory and a processor. The controller is configured to receive at least one sensor signal indicative of a profile of a particulate material within the agricultural system, and output a control signal to instruct the drive system to operate the agitating system in a selected operating mode of a plurality of operating modes based on the profile of the particulate material. The agitating system is configured to interact with the particulate material in each operating mode of the plurality of operating modes, and the plurality of operating modes includes an agitation mode and a leveling mode.
MULTI-UNIT BULK SEED-BOX SEED TENDER
A farm implement is provided. The farm implement includes a frame having a bed and a conveyor mounted to the frame. The farm implement further includes a latch mechanism for securing two or more bulk seed-boxes mounted on a plurality of bulk seed-box locations. The latch mechanism includes a handle to activate the latch mechanism and two or more latches located adjacent to one or more of the bulk seed-box locations, and is moveable between a latched position and an unlatched position. In the latched position, the two or more latches are configured to engage with the bulk seed-boxes to secure the bulk seed-boxes to the bed. In the unlatched position, the two or more latches are configured to disengage from the bulk seed-boxes to allow for the bulk seed-boxes to be unloaded from or loaded onto the bed.
User access management for dispensing particulate material
The present inventors have determined that implementation of an authentication process which can be selectively applied to safeguard parameters which modify dispensing of particulate material during agricultural operations can advantageously allow users of varying levels of experience and understanding to maintain ease of conducting field operations while reducing the possibility of waste and expense. A control system can determine a level of access for an operator or user on an individual basis. Upon determining a level of access for the operator to be sufficient for modifying a parameter, the control system can apply an input from the operator to modify the parameter, and can accordingly adjust dispensing of particulate material.
