Dual seed meter and related systems and methods
A dual seed meter having a metering housing having first and second seed disks with a plurality of openings arranged along a curved path of each disk, wherein the disks overlap to form a convergence region such that seed traveling along the curved paths is delivered to a single point. Certain implementations also have a vacuum chamber defined between a first wall of the metering housing and the first and second seed disks and a seed chamber defined between a second wall of the metering housing and the first and second seed disks.
System and method for controlling the flow of agricultural products from a variable-ratio blending applicator
An air manifold system for supplying an agricultural product to a plurality of metering devices comprises a product hopper having a product flow cavity, the product cavity separated from a first plenum by an air agitator sandwiched between the first plenum and the product flow cavity. The hopper comprises a plurality of nozzles extending through a wall of the hopper. A venturi assembly is in fluid communication with at least one nozzle. A first forced air stream flows through the first plenum and the air agitator into the product flow cavity to agitate and entrain agricultural product in the first air stream, and the first air stream carries the entrained agricultural product into the nozzles. A second forced air stream flows through the venturi assembly to accelerate the first air stream and the entrained product towards and through the supply hoses connected to the nozzles.
Device for metering a granular or grainy material in a distributor machine and distributer machine
The invention relates to a device for metering a granular or grainy material in a distributor machine, comprising a housing; an inlet opening which is formed on the housing and through which a granular or grainy material can be introduced in the housing for metering; an outlet opening which is formed on the housing and through which the granular or grainy material can be discharged out of the housing after metering; a metering space which is formed in the housing in such a way that granular or grainy material in the housing can be moved from the inlet opening via the metering space to the outlet opening; a metering wheel which is arranged in the metering space on a drive shaft, and which is configured to meter the granular or grainy material supplied via the inlet opening; a mounting opening which is formed on the housing and via which the metering wheel can be exchangeably mounted in the metering space; and a mounting component which is detachably arranged in the mounting opening in a mounted position, and this in turn is arranged at least partially welded onto the housing, wherein the mounting component has a receiving unit for detachably receiving the metering wheel, in such a way that the metering wheel received on the receiving unit is mounted on the drive shaft when arranging the mounting component in the mounted position, and in such a way that, when detaching the mounting component from the mounted position, the metering wheel is forcibly detached from the drive shaft (6), such that the metering wheel can be removed from the metering space in this way and can be detached from the housing together with the mounting component. A distributor machine is also provided for distributing a granular or grainy material, such as seeds, fertiliser or grit.
Metering device with removable metering assembly
A metering device for dispensing agricultural product from a bin. The metering device comprises a housing enclosing an interior space, and a metering assembly removably received within the interior space of the housing. The metering assembly is configured to convey agricultural product through the metering device. The metering assembly comprises a rotatable sub-shaft, a first metering wheel positioned on the sub-shaft and configured to rotate with the sub-shaft, a second metering wheel positioned on the sub-shaft and configured to rotate with the sub-shaft, and a dividing element positioned on the sub-shaft between the first metering wheel and the second metering wheel.
Dual Seed Meter And Related Systems And Methods
Disclosed herein are various embodiments of dual seed meters having a metering housing having first and second seed disks with a plurality of openings arranged along a curved path of each disk, wherein the disks overlap to form a convergence region such that seed traveling along the curved paths is delivered to a single point. Certain implementations also have a vacuum chamber defined between a first wall of the metering housing and the first and second seed disks and a seed chamber defined between a second wall of the metering housing and the first and second seed disks.
Modular meter roller cartridge
An agricultural metering system includes a modular meter roller cartridge. The modular meter roller cartridge includes a meter roller. The modular meter roller cartridge further includes a housing rotatably supporting the meter roller. The housing is configured to selectively engage a meter box of the agricultural metering system to support the meter roller within the meter box while the housing is engaged with the meter box, and to selectively disengage the meter box.
Metering device with removable gate assembly
A metering device for dispensing agricultural product from a bin. The metering device comprises a housing enclosing an interior space, and a gate assembly removably received within the interior space of the housing. The gate assembly is configured to guide agricultural product through the housing. The gate assembly comprises a product gate comprising an arcuately-extending gate valve. The product gate at least partially defines a channel within the interior space of the housing through which agricultural product can flow. The gate assembly further comprises a gate key configured to selectively secure the product gate within the housing. Rotation of the gate key is configured to cause a corresponding rotation of the product gate.
Method and System for Placement of Single Seeds One by One
A method for placement of seeds one by one onto a growth medium, whereby initially seeds are extracted and singled-out from a disorderly group of seeds is disclosed. The method comprises: placement of the disorderly group of seeds onto a seed wheel which has a wheel plane, wherein the wheel plane is angled with respect to a horizontal plane such that single seeds are allowed to enter openings in the seed wheel which openings are distanced from a rotation axis of the seed wheel, whereby the seed wheel is rotated around the rotation axis which axis is perpendicular to the wheel plane thereby elevating a single seed in each opening out of the group of seeds and allowing singled-out seeds in each opening to leave the opening at a predetermined rotational position of the seed wheel and fall or trickle down a tube or chute onto a growth medium.
SMALL HAND-GUIDED SELF-PROPELLED GARLIC PLANTER
A small hand-guided self-propelled garlic planter includes a rack, a driving mechanism connected to an upright planting mechanism and a material taking mechanism in a stock bin by using a clutch mechanism. The stock bin is fixedly connected to the rack. The planting mechanism includes a material receiving mechanism fixed to the rack and an insertion type planting mechanism disposed below the material receiving mechanism. The insertion type planting mechanism is connected to a turnable mechanism mounted to the rack, which is connected to the driving mechanism. A plurality of first feed bowls are disposed on the material receiving mechanism. The first feed bowls are connected to a first opening mechanism. Air seed meter with adjustable singulator
A seed metering system, for use on a row crop planter, selects individual seeds from a seed reservoir and dispenses the seeds singularly at a controlled rate. A direct drive seed metering system includes a seed disc having a plurality of suction apertures with a recessed pocket adjacent to an aperture. The recessed pockets act to agitate seeds in the seed reservoir and to direct seed flow towards the apertures. A seed path relief system aids in the placement of the seeds such that they are released from an outer edge of the seed disc. An adjustable seed singulator is mounted adjacent to the face of the seed disc where inner and outer blades are adjusted radially to compensate for the singulation of various seed sizes and shapes. The seed disc is driven via engagement of an internal gear with the external gear of an independent drive motor.
