A garden tool comprises a fork body with a base portion having upper and lower surfaces. The tool includes a plurality of elongated tines each having a first end connected to the base portion, and an opposed free end. A span element attaches to the base at an intermediate portion along the length of each tine, which are preferably parallel to each other.
