A harvesting unit including a chassis intended to be moved along rows of plants to be harvested, and a shaker system including a shaker device including: a drum operable to detach a crop from the plants, the drum including a drum shaft mounted for rotation on the chassis about a vertical axis and shaker organs mounted to the drum shaft; a rotational driving mechanism for the drum including a driven body and a first driving device engaged with the driven body to steer its rotation about the vertical axis; an oscillatory driving mechanism for the drum about the vertical axis including comprising an eccentric module and a second driving device engaged with the eccentric module to steer its rotation, the eccentric module being connected to the drum shaft by a mechanical member arranged to transform the eccentric rotation of the eccentric module into an oscillation of the drum shaft.

A shaker device including at least one motorized member that is intended to transmit by contact a shaking force to objects to be shaken. The member includes a plurality of structural inserts that are covered by a wear jacket. Each of the structural inserts has respective left lobes and right lobes. The inserts are distributed in the jacket so as to form a respective discrete stack of left lobes and right lobes.

Systems and methods of harvesting a shrub from a base of the shrub proximate a ground surface utilizing a shrub harvester include dislodging the shrub from a base of the shrub proximate the ground surface via a shrub dislodging system on the shrub harvester. The methods also include receiving the shrub via a shrub release system on the shrub harvester. The methods further include grasping the shrub via the shrub release system on the shrub harvester. The methods also include releasing the shrub via the shrub release system, which can include a plurality of catch members.
