An agricultural mower system includes: a towing vehicle having a tongue coupler and defining a towing centerline; a mower with a frame carrying cutters and pivotably coupled to a tongue pivotably coupled to the tongue coupler so the mower is on a first side of the towing centerline and defining a towing angle with respect to the towing centerline; a tongue actuator coupled to the tongue to pivot the tongue; a towing angle sensor associated with the tongue that outputs a towing angle signal; and a controller configured to: determine the towing vehicle has initiated an end-of-row turning operation; and output an adjustment signal to the tongue actuator responsively to determining the end-of-row turning operation has initiated so the tongue actuator moves the tongue such that the mower defines the towing angle on a second side of the towing centerline by a conclusion of the end-of-row turning operation.

A crop windrow monitoring system includes an image sensor positioned to include a field of view facing a rearward direction of a power unit, and a visual monitor operable to display an image. A computing device is operable to determine an intended direction of movement of the power unit. The image is displayed on the visual monitor in a first mode having a first magnification when the intended direction of movement includes the rearward direction. The image is displayed on the visual monitor in a second mode having a second magnification and overlaid with indicia indicating a width of the windrow when the intended direction of movement includes the forward direction. The second magnification may be larger than the first magnification.

The rotor carries rows of tines at angularly spaced positions around the rotor each associated with a flexible strip of a resilient material located in front of the tines and covering an inner part of the tines with the outer part exposed so that, as the rotor rotates forwardly relative to the ground, the strip is presented to the swath on the ground in advance of the tines to avoid contact of the inner portion of the tines with the crop material at the top of the swath while the exposed outer ends of the tines operate on the wetter part of the swath at the ground.
