Arrangement for controlling the operation of a draper belt header
11523561 · 2022-12-13 · ·

An arrangement for controlling the operation of a draper belt header of a combine harvester includes a central belt conveyor of the draper belt header having a drive for operably driving the conveyor and two outer belt conveyors attached to a feeder house of the combine harvester. The feeder house has a controllable height which may be controllably adjusted by an actuator. The arrangement further includes a control unit operable to stop the drive of the central belt conveyor or move it into a reversing mode if the feeder house is being raised by the actuator.

Crop is carried into a feed opening of a harvester by two side drapers, two rear back sheets defining an opening between inner edges, a central feed draper and a roller with end flight portions and a central finger portion located above the feed draper. In this geometry, a bottom tangent to the flight portions has a position which is at a height below the rear edge of the side drapers. The roller axis of the feed roller is behind the rear edge of the side drapers and behind a common plane containing the back sheets. The inner guide roller of each of the first and second side drapers is located inwardly of the inner edge of the first back sheet and inwardly of an outer end of the end flight portion. A forward most tangent to the flight portions projects forward of or proud of the common back sheet plane.

Header for Harvesting Stalk-like Plants with a Picking Gap Oriented Transversely to the Direction of Travel

A header for harvesting stalk-like plants includes a number of gatherer assemblies arranged side by side for cutting off and conveying plants to a picking device arranged downstream of the gatherer assemblies. The picking device extends transversely to a direction of travel over the entire working width of at least one half of the header and includes a picking gap and stalk roll below the picking gap to separate fruits from the plants and to deliver them for a separate utilization.

DUAL BELT CONVEYOR FOR AGRICULTURAL MACHINE

A dual conveyor assembly for a windrower includes upper and lower conveyors. Each conveyor includes an endless conveyor element and rotatable supports spaced along a longitudinal conveyor path and entrained by the endless conveyor element. The endless conveyor elements define vertically spaced opposed runs that define the longitudinal conveyor path therebetween. The opposed runs are operable to be driven together to move a flow of severed plant material along the path. At least one of the opposed runs is shiftable relative to the other opposed run in an upright direction, while the runs are driven together, such that the opposed runs remain in moving engagement with the flow of severed plant material as the amount of severed plant material passing between the opposed runs varies.

Harvesting Device

Harvesting device (10) of an agricultural harvesting machine, having a mower (11) for mowing harvested crops, having a conditioning apparatus (14) with conditioning rolls (15, 16) arranged downstream of the mower (11) for conditioning the mown harvested crops, having a transverse conveying apparatus (18) arranged downstream of the conditioning apparatus (14) for conveying the conditioned harvested crops, having a guide element (20) in order to transfer the conditioned harvested crops from the conditioning apparatus (15) onto the transverse conveying apparatus (18), wherein the guide element (20) is configured to be deflectable such that the guide element (20) adopts a position as a function of a harvested crop mass flow to be transferred from the conditioning apparatus (15) onto the transverse conveying apparatus (18).

Draper belt assembly for an agricultural harvester

A draper belt assembly for an agricultural harvester that includes a first roller, a second roller, and a draper belt surrounding the first and second rollers. The draper belt includes a front end, a rear end opposite the front end, and an upper surface extending from the front end to the rear end having a width substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of one of the first and second rollers. The draper belt further includes a plurality of spaced apart lugs each extending in the widthwise direction having an anterior end distal to the rear end and a posterior end proximal to the rear end, wherein the anterior end is spaced from the front end of the draper belt at least about 15 mm.

Draper belt

A draper belt for a head of a harvester that is to extend about a roller having an outer groove encircling the roller and may include a web and an elastomeric belt guide. The web may have a first surface to carry crop material and a second surface to face the roller. The elastomeric belt guide may extend from the second surface and may include downwardly projecting teeth.

Header for a crop harvesting machine having a twisted side draper

A header for a crop harvester includes side drapers having a front edge adjacent the cutter bar and carrying crop to a discharge end roller at a center feed draper. A support arrangement carries the rear end of the discharge end roller to define an operating position in which an axis of the discharge end roller is at an angle to an axis of the outer end roller of the side draper with the rear end of the discharge end roller at a height below a height of the rear end of the outer end roller. This provides a main portion of the belt that lies in a common plane defined by an intermediate guide member and the outer end roller and a smaller portion of the draper belt between the guide member and the rear end of the discharge end roller which is twisted downwardly from the common plane.
