Eco-friendly netting and methods of growing and harvesting sod using the same
An eco-friendly netting for growing and/or harvesting sod, plants, and/or any type of vegetation is disclosed herein. The eco-friendly netting includes a netting body portion forming a pattern of netting apertures, the netting body portion is formed from a material that is at least partially biodegradable. The eco-friendly netting may be preseeded. The eco-friendly netting may be treated or processed with anti-rot agents, degrading accelerators, degrading inhibitors, nutrients, fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, algaecides, herbicides, water absorption/retention enhancers or any combination thereof. Methods of growing sod and harvesting sod, which utilize the eco-friendly netting, are also disclosed herein. In one or more embodiments, the eco-friendly netting may be treated or processed to increase or decrease its functional longevity.
POWER-ASSISTED GROUND HOLE CUTTER
A ground hole cutter is presented. The ground hold cutter includes a mechanical actuator, a housing shaft, and an arm housed within the housing shaft and coupled to the mechanical actuator. The arm is configured to extend and retract relative to the housing shaft. The ground hole cutter further includes a cylindrical cutter coupled to the arm and configured to engage a ground surface. In addition, the ground hole cutter includes a power supply and a controller. The controller is coupled to the power supply, and configured to control extension and retraction of the arm by actuating the mechanical actuator such that the extension and retraction of the arm engages the cutting component to cut a hole in the ground surface.
TRACTOR BUCKET ADAPTER SYSTEM
A system can include a tractor bucket adapter configured to be removably attached to a bucket of a tractor, and a component configured to be removably attached to the tractor bucket adapter. The component may be a digging tool or a sod removal tool. The system can also include an intermediary component to facilitate removable attachment between the tractor bucket adapter and the component.

Sensors, sod harvester with the sensors and methods for steering or guiding sod harvesters
The present invention relates to a system for steering or guiding a sod harvesting machine (sod harvester) with a high degree of precision, without the need for the sod harvesting machine to have a guide stick or shoe in physical or mechanical contact with the sod to be harvested or to be in connection with remote navigation systems, such as GPS. The system includes a sensor mounted at the front of the harvester and a processor for processing information from the sensor to determine a boundary line and for steering the sod harvester along the boundary line.

Method of removing synthetic turf and synthetic turf removal attachment
A turf removal attachment is bolted to a skid steer to allow hydraulic motors thereon to first power cutting blades to form easily removable strips of turf and then, on a lower gear ratio, the drum to which roller tines are attached to spool the strips of turf. Hydraulic circuitry is provided to permit the hydraulic fluid of the skid steer to power the turf removal tools on the turf removal attachment.

Counterbalanced cutting head for a sod harvester
A cutting head for a sod harvester is configured to counterbalance forces that are generated during operation. When the cutting head is operated, the cutting blade oscillates to sever sod from the ground. This oscillation of the cutting blade generates significant horizontal vibration forces that are transferred to the cutting head and other components of the sod harvester. The cutting head can include a crankshaft assembly with counterweights that are designed to balance these horizontal vibration forces. The cutting head can also include a countershaft assembly with counterweights that are also designed to balance these horizontal vibration forces while also balancing vertical vibration forces that the counterweights of the crankshaft assembly create.
