PLATFORMS, PLATFORM SYSTEMS, SAFETY GRATES AND RELATED METHODS FOR INSTALLATION OF VEGETATION-BASED REMEDIATION SYSTEMS
Platforms, platform systems, and safety grates and related methods used to facilitate the installation of plant-based remediation systems are provided therein. A platform system can include a platform having a frame supporting a flooring structure that has a surface on which a worker can stand. The platform and flooring structure can have central aperture therein. The platform system can also include a sleeve frame positioned proximal to the central aperture. The sleeve frame can have sleeve clamps securable thereto for holding a sleeve ring round at least a portion of the central aperture and to hold a liner sleeve to the sleeve ring. Further, the platform system can also include a safety grate attachable to the platform. The safety grate can comprise a grid of crossbars with folding funnel guideboards secured to the grid of crossbars for funneling soil when backfilling the liner sleeve once the liner sleeve is placed in an excavated hole.
APPARATUS FOR REMOVAL OF IN SOIL EMBEDMENT AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF
An apparatus is provided for removal of in soil embedded item(s), such as one or more trees and/or solid items. The apparatus comprises an interstice tool having a cutting mechanism for cutting an interstice in a mass of soil which is surrounded by a trench having a trench bottom on which the mass of soil is disposed. The interstice tool is configured to cut the interstice to liberate a selected volume of soil containing the embedded item(s), and to build a platform in the interstice to support the liberated selected volume thereon. Once the selected volume of soil and/or item(s) is/are cut and supported on the platform, these may be hoisted away by use of hoisting equipment, for removal and relocation. The apparatus may also be used to pass devices like pipes, cables, and the like, through the interstice.
Tree box
A tree box for growing and transporting a tree includes sidewalls and a removable bottom panel. The bottom panel can be removed prior to replanting the tree. In some embodiments portions of the tree box are formed of a plastic material.

Tree carrying apparatus and method
Systems and methods use one or more frame configured for arrangement on moving equipment to safely and efficiently move elongate loads such as trees without risking damage to the loads or requiring multiple laborers. An apparatus includes first and second portions defining first and second openings. The first and second portions are linked by a bridge portion. First and second couplers are disposed on each of the first and second portions respectively, and attach a support for carrying an elongate load.
Apparatus and method for cutting a root ball
Embodiments relate to a tool for digging root balls of trees. The digging tool uses at least two cutting members that move in different paths for digging through the soil and cutting through a portion of the tree's roots. One cutting member moves along a substantially linear-path thereby forming a portion of a side wall of the root ball. The other cutting member moves along an arcuate path for forming a lower wall of the root ball. When the root ball is formed, the tool can be used to remove the root ball and the tree from a first location and move the tree to a second location. The size of the cutting members can be selected to form a root ball of a desired shape and size to allow the tree to continue growing at the second location.
Intelligent tree transplanter
The present invention relates to an intelligent tree transplanter that comprises a rotary support, a structure comprising at least one horizontal hydraulic closed telescopic boom that is driven by and connected to a driving device, wherein there is a multi-way valve assembly, tree-oriented anchor point and infrared horizontal automatic calibration point, wherein there is a ball pool data detector including infrared central contact in the center of the present device; and, a lateral hydraulic telescopic boom that drives the rotary support comprising a number of regolith scrapers, and at least one vertical hydraulic angle rotating shaft connected to a vertical hydraulic telescopic joints are located at the bottom of the device. Vertical hydraulic telescopic joints that are connected to the ball-end horizontal rotating shaft are also located at the bottom of the device.
Tree removal device
A tree removal device configured for coupling on a working vehicle is usable for slicing tree roots. The working vehicle has a front element which is pivotal relative to a frame of the vehicle about a lateral axis in front of a forward end of the frame, thereby allowing a knife element of the tree removal device to be pivoted into the ground for performing a cutting action with a sharpened cutting edge so as to slice the tree roots.

Method of Preparing a Plant for Transport, and an Apparatus
A method of preparing a plant for transport, said plant including a root system embedded in soil, and woody member such as a stem. The method includes the step of wrapping the root system together with the surrounding soil. To prepare the plant for transport in a less laborious manner, the step of wrapping the root system together with the surrounding soil includes encompassing the root system together with the surrounding soil by wrapping an oblong band of flexible material, preferably a net, around the root system and surrounding soil multiple times using a wrapping device.
