LASER TRIMMING DEVICE AND METHOD
A cutting apparatus including a plurality of laser beams for cutting vegetation. The apparatus comprises a housing including an electrically powered laser cutting device which is positioned centrally within the housing. The laser cutting device generates at least one laser beam that is directed outwards from the housing wherein the laser is absorbed by a plate attached to a metal guide at the end of the effective cutting length of the laser.

Easy to load trimmer head with forced discharge
A trimmer head for a trimmer having a shaft defining a rotation axis is provided. The trimmer head includes a housing including a main housing and a lower cover, wherein the main housing contains a pair of opposed eyelets through which trimmer line is discharged. A spool is encased within the housing, with a bump knob connected thereto, and has a passageway with opposed ends and extending from one side of the spool to another, the opposed ends being alignable with the eyelets to receive the line. A first set of ramps is located on an inside surface of the main housing and a second set of ramps is located within a center barrel of the spool. The two sets of ramps interact to control the direction of releasing line from the trimmer head and forcing indexing of the spool when the bump knob is bumped.

CUTTING BLADE, RECIPROCATING-TYPE CUTTING DEVICE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CUTTING BLADE
A cutting blade applied to a reciprocating-type cutting device (1) including a pair of cutting blades (2, 3) that are reciprocated in a state of being superposed on each other to cut an object to be cut. The cutting blade includes: a base element (21); and a plurality of blade bodies (22) jutting from the perimeter of the base element (21), the plurality of blade bodies (22) each having a sliding surface (24) that slides over a mating blade body (32). At least some of the plurality of blade bodies (22) each have a high-hardness section (22A) formed in a part including at least both ends (24a, 24b) in a sliding direction of the sliding surface (24), the high-hardness section (22A) having hardness higher than the hardness of the other part. The thickness of the high-hardness section (22A) is set to 10 μm or more and 200 μm or less.
POWER LOPPER ATTACHMENT
A lopper or lopper head attachment may include a primary gear, a secondary gear, a ratchet gear, an engagement flag, a dampened lag bolt, and a cutting blade. The secondary gear may be enmeshed with the primary gear. The secondary gear may define a lag groove radially offset form the secondary axis. The ratchet gear may be rotatable about a secondary axis separately from the secondary gear. The engagement flag may be rotatably mounted to secondary gear to move between an unengaged position and a engaged position. The dampened lag bolt may be slidably received within the lag groove to move relative to the secondary gear between a permissive position and a restrictive position. The cutting blade may be in mechanical communication with the ratchet gear to be pivoted thereby, in the engaged position of the engagement flag, to a closed position from an open position.
METHOD OF REFURBISHING A LANDSCAPE POWER TOOL
A method of refurbishing a handheld landscape power tool includes separating an original motor of the power tool from a tool head of the power tool. The tool head includes a tool shaft extending proximate to the original motor. A replacement power head and a shaft coupler are provided. The replacement power head includes a motor and a power shaft mechanically coupled to the motor. The shaft coupler includes a power shaft connecter coupled to a shaft-specific connecter. The replacement power head is coupled to the shaft coupler by connecting the power shaft connecter to the power shaft of the replacement power head. The tool head is coupled to the shaft coupler by connecting the shaft-specific connecter to the tool shaft of the tool head.
Grass trimmer and control method of grass trimmer
A grass trimmer includes a grass trimmer head, a brushless motor, a drive circuit, and a controller. The grass trimmer head includes a spool and a head housing. The spool is configured to wind a grass trimmer rope. The head housing is configured to accommodate the spool. The grass trimmer has an automatic winding mode. In the automatic winding mode, the brushless motor drives at least one of the spool and the head housing so that the spool and the head housing rotate relatively and the grass trimmer rope is automatically wound onto the spool. The controller is configured to: in the automatic winding mode, output a control signal to the drive circuit according to at least one of the given voltage and the given current so that the rotation speed of the brushless motor is basically constant.
Handle assembly for garden tool and garden tool having same
A handle assembly for a garden tool includes a housing having a gripping portion defining an extension direction, the housing defining a cavity for detachably mounting a battery pack, the battery pack being configured to be inserted into the cavity along the extension direction of the gripping portion. A related garden tool includes a link assembly; a working mechanism arranged at one end of the link assembly; and a power mechanism arranged at the other end of the link assembly. The power mechanism includes a gasoline engine with an electric starting system having a starting motor powered by the battery pack.
