Specifically, provided herein is an Agrobacterium tumefaciens resistant rose plant, wherein the Agrobacterium tumefaciens resistance is provided by one or more genes located in linkage group 7 (LG7) of the diploid rose consensus map between 56 to 58.5 Mb and especially one or more genes selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos. 1 to 5.
