Automatic Stall Latch Device
The present invention relates to a novel automatic stall latch device. The device is a secure, automatic latch for stall doors that house livestock, but can be retrofitted to any sliding door. The device comprises a locking plate and a wedge that the locking plate slides over to lock the door. A narrow rod is then installed on the side of the sliding door to operate the automatic latch. The locking plate is bolted to the top of the stall or sliding door and operated via the narrow rod that runs down the side of the door. The rod can be actuated to open the stall door. When the door is closed, the locking plate automatically connects to the wedge component that bolts to the top of the stall wall next to the closed door.
A GATE HOLDING DEVICE AND METHOD
A gate holding device for holding an agricultural gate (1) during installation is disclosed. The device (7, 57, 207) takes the form of an elongate attachment member defining a first axis and having a first hinge member (20, 70, 270) connected thereto adjacent a lower end of said attachment member, an elongate foot piece (8, 58, 208) defining a second axis substantially perpendicular to the first axis and having a second hinge member (21, 71, 121) connected to the foot piece intermediate the ends thereof and perpendicular to the second axis, the first and second hinge members being connected together to permit rotation of the foot piece relative to said attachment member between an initial position where the foot piece is substantially parallel to the gate and a final position in which the foot piece is substantially perpendicular to the gate. Preferably a pair of such devices is used. A method is also disclosed.
AUTOMATED LIVESTOCK CATCHING APPARATUS AND METHOD
Systems and methods for mobile overhead capture of cattle are disclosed. The system generally includes an apparatus having a mobile cattle pen for securing cattle therein. A lift device having a first arm member, a second arm member and a perpendicular support member for raising and lowering the mobile cattle pen over cattle. A winch assembly detachably connected to the front of a vehicle, such as a utility terrain vehicle (UTV). The winch assembly having a cable, rotating drum and motor. Wherein, upon activation of the motor of the winch assembly, the cable pulls down the first arm member of the lift device to raise the lift device and the mobile cattle pen into the air, and upon releasing the cable the lift device and mobile cattle pen is lowered to make contact with a ground surface and capture the cattle within the mobile cattle pen.
DOOR GUARDRAIL
Disclosed is door guardrail. The door guardrail includes a door guardrail body having an opening; a movable baffle movably mounted on and movable relative to the door guardrail body to open or close the opening; and a locking device, arranged on the movable baffle or the door guardrail body; and wherein the locking device is capable of limiting or releasing the movement of the movable baffle relative to the door guardrail body.
Position sensing device for sensing an upper limit position and a lower limit position of a hoisting line
A position sensing device for sensing an upper limit position and a lower limit position of a hoisting line for raising and lowering a door leaf of an animal enclosure, the position sensing device comprising a hoisting line pathway for a hoisting line to raise and lower a door leaf of an animal enclosure, an actuator arm moveable between a first position and a second position, and a proximity switch having a first state corresponding to the actuator arm being in the first position and a second state corresponding to the actuator arm being in the second position.
Mobile configurable animal trap system
A portable, trapping system for capturing and non-lethally retaining a large number of large animals, such as wild horses or feral hogs. A specialized trailer aligns and secures deployable corral components for transportation. The corral comprises a modular fence erected on-site from multiple fence panels that are hinged together by pinning. The fence panels are configured with voids to prevent animal climbing. A gate with a remotely actuated trap door is similarly pinned between adjacent fence panels. The gate threshold is concealable. Stakes secure panels to the ground, forming a stable enclosure. The trailer comprises a rigid confining frame structure adapted to constrain and transport corral components. When the corral is disassembled, multiple individual fence panels are slidably captivated between spaced apart upper and lower ceiling and floor channels, being maintained in a parallel and stable configuration. Separate upper and lower aligned channels constrain the gate assembly during transportation.
HEAD GATE FOR A CATTLE CONTAINMENT CHUTE
An animal head gate includes head gate doors each having a squeeze bar to trap the neck mounted between upper and lower rails. Adjustment of the spacing between the bars uses an eccentric crank operated by lever which cooperates with two manual latches on a rail at maximum and minimum spacing. A neck sweep bar is mounted on one gate and movable from a retracted position to a position forward of the squeeze bar across the head gate so as to engage the neck of the animal in front of the squeeze bar and to turn the neck and head. The head gate is held closed by front and rear abutment members each of which is formed as a roller which rotates to reduce friction under load. Each gate includes an upstanding torsion bar which twists when forces are applied to the squeeze bars from impact with the animal.
Demountable alley stop for livestock processing alleys
A demountable alley stop for preventing livestock from backing up in process alleys, includes a deflectable triangular arm component hingedly engaged with an alley stop framework wherein the resting position of the triangular arm component extends into the process alley. The triangular arm component comprises a rearward-facing deflection arm component engaged at its distal end to the distal end of a forward-facing backstop arm component. The proximal ends of the deflection arm component and the backstop arm component are engaged with a bracing arm component. The juncture of the deflection arm component and the backstop arm component is provided with a resilient pliable hose for contacting process alley side rails when the triangular arm component is deflected out of the process alley. The alley stop framework is provided with a resilient hose to stop the bracing arm component when the triangular arm component returns to its resting position.
FARM SYSTEM
A farm system comprising a plurality of smart tags which are each configured to be worn by an animal, a transmitter and receiver unit for wireless communication with the smart tag, one control unit which is communicatively connected to the transmitter and receiver unit and a farm unit which can be controlled by the control unit. Each smart tag comprises at least one sensor and is configured for wirelessly transmitting information obtained by one of the sensors to the transmitter and receiver unit, wherein the transmitter and receiver unit is configured for supplying the received information to the control unit and wherein the control unit is configured for processing the received information and, at least on the basis of this processed information, controlling at least a farm unit and/or generating a report signal for indicating to a user of the system that an activity is to be carried out.
PET DOOR ENCLOSURE SYSTEM
The door system disclosed herein includes a frame and a door fabricated from a plurality of horizontal and vertical wire rods. The door may have an inverted hook which is aligned to a horizontal wire rod of the frame when the door is pivoted to the closed position. To close the door, the door is dropped so that the horizontal wire rod of the frame is traversed into the inverted hook. At this point, the animal inside of the pet crate cannot open the door by pushing the door. Rather, the door must be raised so that the inverted hook clears the horizontal wire rod of the frame to pivot the door to the opened position.
