ANIMAL TOILET
An animal litter box includes: an upper container including a liquid passage portion having holes through which urine passes downward; a tray on which an absorbent body is disposed to absorb the urine that passes through the liquid passage portion; a lower container that supports the upper container from below and that detachably accommodates the tray; and a ventilation fan disposed in the lower container and that sends internal air in the lower container to an outside.
Devices for analyzing animal behavior
A device and method for detecting and recording animal behavior is provided. The device includes an enclosure having first and second chambers, each of the chambers having exterior panels formed of an opaque material, at least one image capture device disposed in each of the first and second chambers, the at least one image capture device arranged to capture behavior data of one or more freely roaming rodents, and a first container insertable into one of the first and second containers and positioned below a respective image capture device, the container having one or more corrals into which one or more rodents are housed during testing, the container being formed of a transparent material. In some embodiments, the first container is formed of a red transparent material, the one or more rodents being unable to see through the red transparent material.
Power barn system
The power barn system provides a way to eliminate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from livestock. The power barn system seals and traps the methane gas that is emitted from the livestock and converts the methane into electric power and carbon dioxide to enhance plant growth. The power barn system uses PV solar arrays and plastic sheeting to make sealed, airtight structures. The carbon dioxide is provided to one or more sealed greenhouse areas. The plants use the carbon dioxide and release oxygen, thereby completely eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from livestock. The power plant uses the methane at peak times at night while solar panels supply power during the day producing zero emission and 24/7 electricity at better than market rates.
ANIMAL SHED SYSTEM WITH AN AIR TRAP AND A SCRUBBER
An animal shed system includes an animal shed having an animal shed floor with a first and a second surface spaced apart, such that the floor has a thickness different from zero, and multiple flow holes extending from the first to the second surface; a reservoir situated under the animal shed floor, wherein the flow holes open up to the reservoir, and the flow holes allow a fluid flow from the animal shed to the reservoir; a floor opening in the animal shed floor to allow manure to be dumped in the reservoir; an air extraction device for extracting air underneath the floor, out of the reservoir; and a device extending from the floor opening into the reservoir, wherein the device is configured to prevent an airflow from the animal shed to the reservoir through the floor opening when in use.
VENTILATED ANIMAL CRATE
A ventilated animal crate (1) having a ventilation system (15) for circulating fresh air through the animal crate to prevent pets contained within the ventilated animal crate from overheating. At least one fan (37) is mounted in a top panel (7) and /or rear panel (5) of the crate and is connected to air distribution channel (30) in the top panel having air vents (40) for widespread distribution of air inside the ventilated animal crate. The at least one fan has at least one filter (37) to remove debris from the air.
Enclosed Litter Box
An enclosed litter box is provided that includes a housing sized and shaped for an animal and litter tray. The apparatus includes a self-closing door that impedes airflow between the interior and exterior of the housing and can be utilized by an animal as an entrance and exit to the housing. The apparatus further includes a recirculation ventilation system that includes a fan to draw air from the interior of the housing through a filter and then circulate the filtered air back into the interior of the housing. This filter is configured to remove odor from the air.
Ventilation fan with synchronous butterfly shutter for animal building
A fan assembly for use in a sidewall of an animal house. The fan assembly includes an impeller, a motive force configured to rotate the impeller about a fan assembly axis, and a butterfly shutter. A shutter operation mechanism moves the butterfly doors of the shutter between the closed position and the open position in synchrony with an operating speed of the impeller. The shutter operating mechanism includes pushrods connected to the butterfly doors, and a linkage between the impeller and the second pushrods. The linkage includes at least one weight configured to rotate with the impeller about the fan assembly axis, wherein rotation of the at least one weight causes the linkage to exert a force on the pushrods to push the butterfly doors toward the open position when the impeller is rotating.
Pet container for drying a pet
A pet container includes: a housing comprising a fan for creating an airflow; electronics for operating the fan; and a door configured to transition between a closed position and an open position for ingress and egress of a pet. The pet container defines a pet containment space, and the pet container comprises ducts through which the airflow created by the fan flows into the pet containment space for blowing air onto a pet. The fan preferably is an impeller and the at least one of the duct preferably is defined at least an interior passageway that is formed in the housing. The pet container further preferably includes a heater for heating the airflow; an aromatherapy diffuser; a light, laser, or array of LEDs for emitting infrared or near infrared light into the containment space with a wavelength of between about 620 and about 1000 nanometers for providing photobiomodulation.
METHOD FOR MITIGATING AIRBORNE PATHOGENS FROM A LIVESTOCK HOUSE
A method for mitigating airborne pathogens from a livestock house is disclosed. In an embodiment, the method comprises using a cross-flow ventilation system, which is fluidly connected to a livestock house and configured to control the air quality and movement by introducing ambient air into at least one air filtration system that is attached to a side wall of the house; conditioning the air in the air filtration system by performing at least one step selected from filtering, cooling, disinfecting, or pressurizing the air; introducing the conditioned air into an air chamber; flowing the conditioned air from the air chamber into the house through at least one ventilation panel to the opposing sidewall with a laminar or substantially laminal flow of air; and removing the air from the house using an exhaust fan attached to a side wall opposite the side wall containing the air filtration system.
