Pet containment apparatus
A pet containment apparatus for a truck bed that connects to the corner bed anchors and contains an overhead connection for the pet(s) to allow for free movement of the pet(s) in the truck bed, while keeping the pet(s) from exiting the truck bed. The apparatus may be static or adjustable and allow for single or multiple pets to travel safely in the truck bed. The pet(s) will be tethered overhead to allow for free movement. In preferred embodiments, the various elements of the apparatus include a sturdy, metallic frame with adjustable connectors to fit various truck beds.
Animal rear leg position control device, a milking stable provided therewith, and a rotary parlour
An animal rear leg position control device includes a body having a lower side; a first lateral side; a second lateral side; a front end; a rear side, where a longitudinal direction is defined by a line extending from the front end to the rear side; a first transition area defines a first rear corner of said body; and a second transition area defines a second rear corner of said body, where the front end is configured to be turned towards a front part of a milking stable when the body is in an operative position, and the rear side is configured to be turned towards a rear part of a milking stable when said body is in the operative position in the milking stable. The first rear corner and the second rear corner are positioned at different longitudinal positions in the longitudinal direction of the body.
DEVICE FOR CONNECTING A LABORATORY ANIMAL TO AT LEAST ONE EXPERIMENTATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FASTENING SUCH A DEVICE
A device for connecting a laboratory animal to at least one experimentation system including a body provided with a base for fastening to a bone surface of the animal and at least one element for connection to the experimentation system. The base comprises a perforated fastening structure that has a proximal face with a shape complementary to that of the bone surface and, opposite the proximal face, a distal face that delimits at least two fastening openings emerging at the proximal and distal faces. A method for fastening such a device to a laboratory animal is also disclosed.
Apparatus for restraining the lower legs and feet of a livestock animal
A livestock animal leg restraining apparatus includes a chute having a floor and sidewalls, a center pad assembly and two side pad assemblies. The center pad assembly is mounted in a raised position above the center of the floor of the chute. The center pad assembly presents two opposite center pads that are oriented in the outboard direction. Two side pad assemblies are mounted to pivot panels that are able to pivot out from the sidewalls of the chute from an open position to a closed position. Each side pad assembly presents a side pad that is oriented in an inboard direction. When the pivot panels are tilted to the closed position, the side pads are brought into close proximity with the center pads so as to restrain the lower legs of a livestock animal.
Hog Trap with Anti-climb and Anti-dig Bars
A hog trap includes a fence assembly to trap the hog, and a trap door. The hog trap has upper and lower ring assemblies. The ring assemblies include bars extending partway across the top and bottom and spaced inwardly from the outer boundary of the cage to restrict hogs from climbing but provide an escape opening for deer at the top and also to restrict digging under the cage at the bottom. A bottom bar assembly is fixed inwardly of and to a lower ring, and a top bar assembly is fixed inwardly of and to an upper ring. The bottom bar assembly and the top bar assembly extend inwardly from the rings. The upper and lower ring are part of the cage and support the fence and the trap door.
CATTLE GATE SYSTEM
A cattle gate system having two saloon-style cattle gates. A stop system along a header of the cattle gate system enables a user to select, for each gate, which of the two swinging directions is prevented or not. Thereby, each gate may be bidirectional, unidirectional, non-directional or locked.
Livestock treatment method and apparatus
Provided is a method for treating animals, such as livestock, by exposing the animals to an airborne suspension of finely divided mineral salts. Treatment is effected upon inspiration of the mineral salts or skin contact with the mineral salts. The animals are accommodated in a treatment chamber with a substantially sealed limited confined volume and has a pressure difference airflow means, a dispensing means for the mineral salts and desiccant(s) in the walls and on the floor of the treatment chamber. The treatment chamber is a stationary installation or adapted as a trailer to treat animals during a journey or to transport the treatment chamber to the animals location, for example, a zoo or to apiaries.
Laboratory animal restraint
A laboratory animal restraint includes a glove and a claw detachably connected to the glove. The claw includes a first retaining member and a second retaining member. The first retaining member includes a first upper bar, a first lower bar and a plurality of first arcuate ribs connecting and extending between the first upper bar and the first lower bar. Similarly, the second retaining member includes a second upper bar, a second lower bar and a plurality of second arcuate ribs connecting and extending between the second upper bar and the second lower bar. A flexible flap is fixedly secured to the first lower bar and is adapted to be releasably secured to the second lower bar. The first upper bar and the second upper bar are pivotally secured to one another.
Directional lock for interface headgear arrangement
A directional lock or a headgear or interface assembly has one or more directional locks that include a catch arrangement for initiating or assisting in movement of a lock member of the direction lock. In some configurations, the catch arrangement assists movement of the lock member in only a portion of a range of travel of the lock member. In some configurations, the directional lock has a housing and a sleeve and the catch arrangement has a catch arm carried by the sleeve. The catch arm includes a catch end that contacts the lock member, which can be a lock washer in some configurations.
Portable animal loading chute
A portable animal loading chute includes a floor and side walls for transferring animals from the ground to a higher semi-trailer and smaller lower trailer for transportation. The whole chute including both the base and side walls move upwardly and downwardly to the height of the vehicle. What we did is make the angle of the loading chute is designed at half way between both heights so that a triangular gap is formed as the end faces of the side walls are not vertical and do not meet the vertical walls at the ground and trailer. Thus a small rectangular panel is mounted at each end of each side wall that can pivot to adjust to give the final required angle for to meet the vertical walls at the respective height.
