Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder
A bird feeder comprises an inner housing including a seed reservoir having at least one feed port defined therethrough, and an inner base supporting the seed reservoir. An outer housing of the feeder is moveably mounted to the inner housing, and includes a reservoir cover arranged over the seed reservoir and defining at least one feed opening. A top cover of the outer housing receives a portion of the inner housing, and an outer base of the outer housing supports the reservoir cover. The outer housing is moveable relative to the inner housing between a first position and a second position. A compression spring is operatively connected between the inner base and the outer base for biasing the outer housing into the first position relative to the inner housing.
VIBRATING BIRD DETERRENT DEVICE
A bird deterrent device is configured for use in common garden bird-feeders. A flexible vibrating tip is electrically connected to a power supply and a wireless receiver via electrical wiring. A remote transmitter is operable to send a signal to the wireless receiver. When the wireless receiver receives the signal, the vibrating tip produces a vibration to generate visual, auditory and structural vibrations in the associated feeder, thereby scaring away targeted undesirable birds.
CONTROLLABLE FEED SPRAYING DEVICE
The feed spraying device contains a casing member, a top cover, a side cover, a number of partitions, a loading wheel, at least a brush, a spraying wheel, a first driving unit, a second driving unit, a controller, and a power supply unit. A feed inlet is configured in the top cover. The partitions separate an inner space of the casing member into three sections. After the feed spraying device is turned on and before it stops, the controller engages the second driving unit to drive the spraying wheel to rotate for a period of time time so as to clear residual feeds in a feed storage room. In addition, the spraying wheel has blades of bended tips so as to increase the distance that the feeds are sprayed. The device therefore resolves the residual feed problem of the prior art and enhances the coverage of feed spray.
ROTARY GROUND AUGER BASE AND FEEDER STAND
A feeder stand including a rotary ground auger and base holds a feeder above the ground. An upright elongated rod defines a stand supported by an auger having helical coils removably screwed into the ground. A platform such as a round disc, or wire mesh platform is supported on the top distal end of the rod. At least two opposing legs extend perpendicular to the vertical elongated rod and auger forming a base. The distal end of selected opposing legs are bent or angled upward perpendicular from the ground forming handles for rotating the auger into the ground. The portion of the legs extending outward normal to the elongated support pole provides a base bearing against the ground for increased lateral support.
SUET MOLD AND CAGE MOUNTING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A system for conveniently and easily filling a suet cage with molded home-made suet, and for mounting the filled suet cage easily, securely, and neatly on an outdoor mount in any weather. In a further aspect a magnetically-coupled tailpiece is provided for engaging a lower end or corner of a suet cage when the cage is mounted on an outdoor support.
SEED GUARD AND BIRD FEEDER UNDERCUT
The present disclosure provides a bird feeder having a seed container secured to a seed tray to provide access to seeds. The seed tray is in turn comprised of an undercut and a central rod having a spring mechanism. The spring mechanism allows for a shroud that is connected to the central rod, to move from a first position where access to the seeds is permitted to a second position where access to the seeds is prevented. The seed tray is also comprised of an undercut, either at a periphery of the seed tray or at individual ports of the seed tray, the undercut to prevent seeds from falling out of the seed tray when the bird feeder sways or otherwise moves. A seed guard may also be provided onto the seed tray, the seed guard having a circumferential undercut to prevent seeds from falling out of the seed tray.
Adjustable bird feeding opening control system
Adjustable bird feeding opening control system, comprises an adjusting ring, sliding toggles and a back plate; a penetrating feeding opening is arranged on the back plate, the adjusting ring is arranged in the feeding opening, a feeding mouth is arranged in a center of the adjusting ring, a sliding groove is arranged on a surface of the adjusting ring outside the feeding mouth, a limit cover is installed on the back plate on one side of the feeding opening, several sliding toggles are movably installed between the adjusting ring and the limit cover, installed sliding toggles form a ring, and inner hole of the ring is a beak feeding mouth; a bolt is arranged on one side of the sliding toggle and is fitted with a limit hole on the back plate, a release pin is arranged other side of the sliding toggle and movably inserted in the sliding groove.
Oriole bird feeder with tapered port access channel and integrated perch
An Oriole bird feeder having a nectar reservoir with a base and a tapered port, and preferably a tapered port/perch assembly, is provided. The bird feeder allows Orioles and other similarly sized members of the Icterid family of birds to land on the perch and access the nectar in the reservoir base while, due to the diminishing taper of the opening in the tapered port, simultaneously preventing average sized Italian, Carniolan and Caucasian honey bees from entering the reservoir base through the port to obtain the nectar where they subsequently become trapped and perish.
Feeding device for poultry animals
A feeding device for poultry animals having an upper feed provision element with an elongated expansion disposed so that poultry animals can reach the feed in the upper feed provision element from the access platform. The feeding device having at least one lower feed provision element disposed underneath the upper feed provision element during operation, wherein the lower feed provision element is arranged and designed so that during operation poultry animals can reach the feed in the lower feed provision element from a floor, and wherein the lower feed provision element is arranged and designed so that the lower feed provision element is supplied with feed provided in the upper feed provision element.
Systems and methods for capturing and processing images of animals for species identification
Systems and methods are provided for capturing images of animals for the purpose of identifying the animal. A camera can be positioned to capture images of an animal at a feeding station. A member can be positioned on the opposite side of the feeding station from the camera to provide a common background for the images captured by the camera. When an image is captured by the camera, a determination is made as to whether an animal is present in the image. If an animal is determined to be present in the image, a segmentation algorithm can be used to remove (or make black) the background pixels from the image leaving only the pixels associated with the animal. The image with only the animal pixels can be provided to animal recognition software for identification of the animal. In some embodiments captured images can be used to create synthetic images for training without requiring segmentation for the identification process.
