AUTONOMOUS SYSTEM FOR EVENLY DISPENSING LIVESTOCK FEED
An autonomous feed delivery system for evenly dispensing a specified amount of feed into a specified distance such as a feed bunk. This results in a concisely controlled rate of discharge per linear distance which is critical to achieving an even and accurate delivery of the specified amount of feed into the feed bunk. Features can include using a georeferenced map of feed bunks to identify correct feed rations to the correct bunks based on a prescription for each bunk, and preventing feed dispensing outside of bunk locations, load sense hydraulic control to provide hydraulic power to dispensing independent of vehicle engine rpm, and interruption of bulk feed supply to the dispensing sub-system if indications of overload are sensed.
Livestock and feedlot data collection and processing using UHF-band interrogation of radio frequency identification tags for feedlot arrival and risk assessment
An agricultural data collection framework is provided in a system and method for tracking and managing livestock, and for analyzing animal conditions such as health, growth, nutrition, and behavior. The framework uses ultra-high frequency interrogation of RFID tags to collect individual animal data across multiple geographical locations, and incorporates artificial intelligence techniques to develop machine learning base models for statistical process controls around each animal for evaluating the animal condition. The framework provides a determination of normality at an individual animal basis or for a specific location, and generates alerts, predictions, and a targeted processing or application schedule for prioritizing and delivering resources when intervention is needed.
Animal feed dispenser
An animal feed dispenser includes a control module and a feed dispensing module. The control module includes a detection member and an electronic control card. The detection member is suitable for generating a detection signal when the feed dispenser is located close to an enclosure containing animals. The feed dispensing module includes a feed dispensing orifice and an actuator. The electronic control card is configured to receive the detection signal and, as a function of the detection signal, to transmit an activation signal to the actuator and the actuator is configured to trigger a flow of feed through the dispensing orifice when the activation signal is received.
Apparatus for farming animals such as pigs
An apparatus for farming animals, with a trough, a distributing system, an identifying system, a database and a control unit that allows, once an animal has been identified, the time passed ‘t’ since the time T.sub.0 corresponding to the last feed of said animal to be measured, a new value of the credit feed weight MC to be computed with the formula
and a succession of feed portions to be distributed to the trough until the animal is sated or until a zero or negative credit feed weight MC is obtained.
Tool for providing nourishment to pets
A system for providing nourishment to pets is provided. The system includes a base component and an electrically operated platform including a scale configured to move along one or more vertical shafts which brings one or more reservoirs positioned on the platform to various levels of height. The system further includes an affixed mount configured to retain a computing device which controls components of the system, particularly the movement of the platform along the one or more vertical shafts and the taking and storage of weight data of the nourishment.
FEED-SUPPLYING SYSTEM
A feed-supplying system includes a feeder and a scale. The feeder includes a bin, a valve module and a monitoring module. The monitoring module controls the valve module to open an outlet of the bin to allow the feeder to supply feed, measures a vertical inside-bin distance, and outputs a notification when it is determined that an amount of stored feed is less than a threshold based on the distance. The scale supports the supplied feed, senses weight of a load thereon. When it is determined that an amount of the supplied feed has reached a threshold based on the weight, the monitoring module controls the valve module to close the outlet so as to stop the supply of the feed.
MATERIAL WEIGHT MEASUREMENT SYSTEM WITH AUTOMATIC TARE ASSOCIATED WITH OBJECT PRESENCE DETECTION
A presence sensor combined to a first storage carrier for detecting a presence of a second storage carrier. A load cell measures the weight of the material expelled from the first storage carrier. A scale controller in communication with the presence sensor responds to the presence of the second storage carrier by recording of the weight measurement from the load cell.
FEEDLOT FEEDING CONTROL SYSTEM APPARATUS AND METHOD
A control system dispenses an optimal amount of feed so that it is substantially evenly distributed along the length of the bunker in a feed lot. The control system can include a feedback loop. The control system controls a dispenser, such as an auger or a door actuator to dispense feed. A method for controlling is also discussed. The method can be formed as an instruction set that causes a processor to implement the method.
Bulk pet food dispenser
A system for bulk pet food dispersing. The system has one or more scales, and for each scale a pulley system and a pair of rails which can be used to lift a bulk bag of pet food into place above the scale and a gravity-fed dispenser, which can include a dispenser control. The bulk bag of pet food can attach to the pulley system using hooks, eyelets, knots, chains, etc., then raised into place using a crank which moves the pulley system. Users can then disperse the pet food from the raised bulk bag into their own bag using a dispenser control, such as a handle or lever.
