The present invention relates generally to the field of fishing devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to a fishing net hoop device. The device is comprised of a hoop and a net. The hoop keeps the net open to increase the probability that fish will swim into the net. In one embodiment, the net is comprised of at least one fastener that attaches to the hoop, to allow the net to be removable so that damaged nets can be conveniently replaced. In one embodiment, the device is comprised of at least one transmitter, at least one tracking device, and at least one battery. The transmitter is in electrical communication with a mobile application on the user's smart device to allow a user to locate the device if it is lost in a body of water.

The disclosure provides embodiments of environmentally acceptable fishing lines or fishing nets. Embodiments of the disclosed fishing line or net may comprise a degradable polymer having components derived from i) biomass sources, ii) protein, fatty acid or lipid sources, iii) microbial-based monomers and polymers, iv) agro-based monomers and polymers, v) sugar or starch based monomers and polymers, or combinations thereof, as well as fishing lines and net that further comprise an additive having components derived from i) polyol sources, ii) citrate sources, iii) fatty acid sources, iv) biomass oil sources, or combinations thereof. Some of the embodiments of the disclosed fishing lines or nets may have a suitable fiber core, while other embodiments of the disclosed fishing lines or nets are degradable over a predetermined period of time. The disclosed embodiments are preferred because of the low environmental impact of the disclosed fishing lines or nets when compared to, for example, well known synthetic polymer fishing lines or nets.

A net repair patch latching unit comprising one or more carabiners. The carabiner of the net repair patch latching unit comprises at least one load-bearing section; a spine and a forepart; one or more first grooves configured to accommodate a yarn of the net to be repaired; at least one elongated bendable part having a distal end and a proximal end. The elongated bendable part comprises at least one transitional bending area connecting the spine and the proximal end of the at least one bendable part; one or more guiding nudges protruding from the load-bearing section; one or more attaching element protruding from the load-bearing section.

A net assembly used for purse seine fishery, which is mounted on a first vessel, dropped into seawater from the first vessel, and towed by a second vessel to surround and pull fish to capture fish. The net assembly includes a plurality of floats floating on a surface of seawater to provide buoyancy to the net assembly, and coupled to one another in a spaced manner in a lengthwise direction of the net assembly; a net combination of a plurality of nets disposed under the floats in an inter-coupled state, and sunken and deployed from the surface of seawater to surround and capture fish; a weight body extending along a lower end of the net combination to provide a sinking force by means of gravity to sink the net combination; and a purse wire extending along the net combination while being spaced apart from the weight body in a downward direction, and tightened by the first vessel to allow the net assembly to form a closed space below the surface of seawater.

The present invention relates to a cast net blanket device primarily comprised of at least one base, at least two primary ropes, at least one secondary rope, at least one secondary rope fastener, and a first and second base fastener. During use, the primary ropes can be pulled upward, such that fish are contained within the device, and wherein the secondary ropes can be pulled upward to create two separate areas within the device. One area can store keeper fish, wherein the keeper fish can be easily transferred to a bucket underneath the area via the first base fastener that can be opened and the non-keeper fish can be release by lowering the side of the primary rope where unwanted fish are stored, which allows the blanket to unfold and fall back into the body of water it came from.

A framed three-point lift net for lifting one or more fish out of the water to a user located at an elevated fishing venue is presented. The framed three-point lift net may comprise a frame, a net, and a lifting cord. The framed three-point lift net may be a fishing net that is adapted to lift one or more fish out of water and up to a user located at an elevated fishing venue. As non-limiting examples, the elevated fishing venue may be a pier, a bluff, a dam, or a boat. The net may be held open by the frame. The net may be adapted to be positioned under the one or more fish and then lifted as the frame is raised by pulling up on the lifting cord. The lifting cord may attach to the frame at three points.

A bag having an elongated body and opposite end portions is disclosed. The body has a sidewall that provides the body with a primary opening. The body has an interior region sized for containing crab bait inserted into the interior region via the primary opening. The interior region, bounded by the sidewall, includes a plurality of secondary openings that range from about 1 mm to about 10 mm for attracting at least one crab to the body to feed on the bait contained within the interior region. The body includes a slidably openable and closeable slide fastener which overlays the primary opening and is fixed to the sidewall between the body opposite end portions. The slide fastener, when open, enables bait to be inserted into the interior region and, when closed, retains bait within the interior region.
