Cast net support apparatus
A cast net support apparatus including a mouthguard assembly and a cast net assembly is disclosed. These assemblies in conjunction with one another provide an easy-to-use casting net solution. The mouthguard assembly includes a mouthguard that is detachably tethered to the cast net assembly. The mouthguard includes a tether that is fastened to a rod. The rod is then inserted into a buoyant cast net support attachment that is in turn fastened to a net. When the user prepares the net for casting, they will grip the mouthguard that is tethered to the net edge in their mouth. Thereby affording them better support of the net before casting. The better support allows for a further and more accurate cast of the net. As the user casts the net the mouthguard tether detaches from the net leaving the user with the mouthguard in the user's mouth.

Automatic line release system for aquatic traps
An example line restraint system comprises a housing, a processor, a motor, a release cam, and a timer. The release cam comprises a stem portion and an arm portion. The stem portion is proximate to the housing and the arm portion may be opposite the stem portion. The stem portion may be rotatably coupled to the motor. The motor may be configured to turn the arm portion of the release cam between an open and closed state. When in the closed state, an overhang of the arm portion at least partially defines a cavity capable of retaining a release line. When in the open state, the release cam opens the cavity to enable release of the release line. The timer may receive instructions from the processor to set a particular time and to trigger the motor to turn the release cam from the closed state to the open state.
Net assembly used for purse seine fishery
A net assembly used for purse seine fishery, which is mounted on a first vessel, dropped into seawater from the first vessel, and towed by a second vessel to surround and pull fish to capture fish. The net assembly includes a plurality of floats floating on a surface of seawater to provide buoyancy to the net assembly, and coupled to one another in a spaced manner in a lengthwise direction of the net assembly; a net combination of a plurality of nets disposed under the floats in an inter-coupled state, and sunken and deployed from the surface of seawater to surround and capture fish; a weight body extending along a lower end of the net combination to provide a sinking force by means of gravity to sink the net combination; and a purse wire extending along the net combination while being spaced apart from the weight body in a downward direction, and tightened by the first vessel to allow the net assembly to form a closed space below the surface of seawater.
Large Marine Animal Automatic Release Device for Use with Deep Sea Fishing Gear
A water pressure-activated end line severing device is configured to be attached to a lobster, crab or snow crab trawl end line and to automatically sever the end line if a large marine animal has snagged, bitten, seized, caught, become entangled with, or otherwise somehow attached itself to that end line. When any large marine animal, such as a whale, snags or becomes entangled in the end line, the normal, instinctive response of the large marine animal is to dive rapidly to a greater depth, which pulls the end line and the device attached to the end line to a greater depth in the water column. As the device descends to a greater depth in the water column, the water pressure exerted against the device rapidly increases. When the water pressure reaches and exceeds a predefined water pressure threshold, a trigger assembly on the device activates a spring-loaded cutter assembly, which forces movement of a cutting blade to sever the part of the end line that passes through an aperture in the device, thereby freeing the large marine animal from the end line and the weight of the lobster or crab trawl.
ECO-FRIENDLY UNDERWATER BUOY AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention provides an eco-friendly underwater buoy and a manufacturing method therefor, the underwater buoy comprising: a liner main body of which the inside is hollow; a winding member which is melt welded on the outer surface of the liner main body by winding, and which absorbs external shock; and buoy couplers embedded in both ends of the liner main body so as to couple adjacent underwater buoys to each other. The present invention winds, through filament winding, a wire, in which a glass fiber, a resin and the like are mixed, around the outside of a liner structure so as to manufacture an underwater buoy, and thus, since the underwater buoy is made of a composite material, the appearance of the buoy structure can be stably maintained for a long time without damage caused by various underwater shocks, so that underwater environmental pollution caused by buoy structure damage can be minimized, thereby maximizing the eco-friendliness of the underwater buoy.
ROPE-LESS AQUATIC TRAPS

The stem portion is proximate to the housing and the arm portion may be opposite the stem portion. The stem portion may be rotatably coupled to the motor. The motor may be configured to turn the arm portion of the release cam between an open and closed state. When in the closed state, an overhang of the arm portion at least partially defines a cavity capable of retaining a release line. When in the open state, the release cam opens the cavity to enable release of the release line. The timer may receive instructions from the processor to set a particular time and to trigger the motor to turn the release cam from the closed state to the open state.
Harvesting Brine Shrimp Eggs
A curtain of a boom for harvesting brine shrimp eggs includes mesh sections for directing a flow of water in a first direction such that an amount of the brine shrimp eggs swept under the curtain of the boom during a harvesting process is minimized and a bottom section located below the mesh sections for directing a flow of water in a second direction during the harvesting process such that debris in the water is swept under the curtain of the boom.
