Net assembly used for purse seine fishery
11602137 · 2023-03-14 · ·

A net assembly used for purse seine fishery, which is mounted on a first vessel, dropped into seawater from the first vessel, and towed by a second vessel to surround and pull fish to capture fish. The net assembly includes a plurality of floats floating on a surface of seawater to provide buoyancy to the net assembly, and coupled to one another in a spaced manner in a lengthwise direction of the net assembly; a net combination of a plurality of nets disposed under the floats in an inter-coupled state, and sunken and deployed from the surface of seawater to surround and capture fish; a weight body extending along a lower end of the net combination to provide a sinking force by means of gravity to sink the net combination; and a purse wire extending along the net combination while being spaced apart from the weight body in a downward direction, and tightened by the first vessel to allow the net assembly to form a closed space below the surface of seawater.

Cast Net Blanket Device

The present invention relates to a cast net blanket device primarily comprised of at least one base, at least two primary ropes, at least one secondary rope, at least one secondary rope fastener, and a first and second base fastener. During use, the primary ropes can be pulled upward, such that fish are contained within the device, and wherein the secondary ropes can be pulled upward to create two separate areas within the device. One area can store keeper fish, wherein the keeper fish can be easily transferred to a bucket underneath the area via the first base fastener that can be opened and the non-keeper fish can be release by lowering the side of the primary rope where unwanted fish are stored, which allows the blanket to unfold and fall back into the body of water it came from.

ANTARCTIC KRILL TRAWL WITH CENTRALIZED SINKER AND SELF-EXPANDABLE MOUTH STRUCTURE
20210378219 · 2021-12-09 ·

It is provided an Antarctic Krill trawl with a centralized sinker and a self-expandable mouth structure, including a beam, an upper border rope, a lower border rope, a lateral line, a cover net, a flank net and a body net. A length of the beam is 18 to 20 meters. The beam enables the mouth to be expanded horizontally, a sinker is provided at each of two sides of a belly net at a front end of a first mouth of the body net. A component force of a sinking force by the sinker is transmitted through the lateral line and a sewing edge so as to cause the lower border rope in a tensioning state due to the transmitted force. The body net comprises a back net, a lateral net and a belly net. Taper ratios of the back net and the lateral net are 2-1.

BAIT NET CASTING DEVICE FOR CATCHING SEA SPECIES
20210368756 · 2021-12-02 ·

A bait net casting device for catching sea species including a housing having a reel with a retractable cord. The housing includes an opening at the top and forms a handle for holding the bait net casting device when not in use. The bait net casting device includes line strands connecting the cord via connecting rings at one end and a disk at another end. The bait net casting device includes a line coupler drawn through the line strands. The bait net casting device includes a net connecting the disk. The net includes a lead line at its circumference. The lead line includes weights circumferentially spaced in relation to another. A user draws a waist belt through the opening to connect and suspend the housing from the belt. The net casts pulling the cord from the reel. Further, the cord retracts into the housing pulling back and closing the net.

SEINE NET ASSEMBLY HAVING BUOYANT SEINE NET PURSE RINGS AND METHOD OF SEINE FISHING USING SAME
20230363365 · 2023-11-16 ·

A seine net assembly utilizes buoyant seine net purse rings that float above the leadline and therefore reduce the risk of the purse rings getting snagged on the bottom of the body of water. An exemplary buoyant purse ring may have a specific gravity less than 1.0 and preferably, between 0.08 and 0.96. It is desirable that the purse rings float but not be so buoyant that they cause the leadline and therefore the leadline end of the net to float. An exemplary purse ring is made out of a polymeric material such as polyethylene and most preferably ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). A polymeric purse ring may have a ring wall with a rectangular shape designed for durability and tighter packing. The width of the ring wall may be greater than the thickness.
