The roller comprises: a fishing line guiding portion that is disposed on a side of a bail support member, and guides the fishing line to the spool; a fishing line leading portion that is formed to have a diameter that is greater than the diameter of the fishing line guiding portion, and leads the fishing line to the fishing line guiding portion; and a fishing line regulating portion that is disposed between the fishing line guiding portion and the fishing line leading portion to be inclined, and regulates a movement of the fishing line in an axial direction of the shaft portion.

A fishing reel comprises a level wind device that evenly winds a fishing line around a spool rotatably supported between left and right side plates of a reel main body. The level wind device comprises a fishing line guide body through which a fishing line is inserted, and a rib that is provided in the fishing line guide body and prevents line entanglement, and the O-ring is disposed in the cylindrical portion so as to fill a gap between the rib and an opposing portion opposing the rib of the cylindrical portion of the level wind device. The rib has a shape for sliding the fishing line in contact with the cylindrical portion.

A dual-bearing reel includes a reel unit, a spool, and a guide member. The reel unit includes a first reel body and a second reel body. The spool is disposed between the first reel body and the second reel body. The guide member is attached to the reel unit and restricts a moving range of a fishing line forwardly released from the spool. Additionally, the guide member overlaps with the first reel body and the second reel body. The guide member makes contact with the first reel body and the second reel body.

A fishing reel comprises a level wind device that evenly winds a fishing line around a spool rotatably supported between left and right side plates of a reel main body. The level wind device comprises a fishing line guide body through which a fishing line is inserted, and a rib that is provided in the fishing line guide body and prevents line entanglement, and the O-ring is disposed in the cylindrical portion so as to fill a gap between the rib and an opposing portion opposing the rib of the cylindrical portion of the level wind device. The rib has a shape for sliding the fishing line in contact with the cylindrical portion.

A line roller for guiding the fishing line onto a spool of a spinning reel for fishing includes a cylindrical guide member including a guide surface for guiding the fishing line on the outer perimeter, an axle bearing member that rotatably supports an inner perimeter surface of the guide member, a support member that supports the axle bearing member, and a grease holding unit that forms a space leading from the axle bearing member to the guide member and that holds a water-repellent grease in the space.

A line roller for guiding a fishing line to a spool of a spinning reel includes a bearing member rotatable about a rotational axis. The line roller also includes a guide member disposed outside the bearing member in a radial direction from the rotational axis. The guide member includes a holding portion and a body. The holding portion is made of a metal or a ceramic. The holding portion is to hold a fishing line. The holding portion extends in a circumferential direction centered about the rotational axis. The body includes a resin, and a guide surface for leading the fishing line to the holding portion.

A fishing reel includes a handle, a spool on which a fishing line is wound, a partially open reel body housing an internal mechanism converting a rotational force applied to the handle into a movement to wind the fishing line onto the spool, a lid member closing the opening of the reel body, and a seal member disposed between an opening edge portion of the reel body and a lid flat surface of the lid member. The seal member includes a shape-retaining portion that holds the shape and a sealing material that has elasticity.

A fishing reel includes a handle, a spool on which a fishing line is wound, a partially open reel body housing an internal mechanism converting a rotational force applied to the handle into a movement to wind the fishing line onto the spool, a lid member closing the opening of the reel body, and a seal member disposed between an opening edge portion of the reel body and a lid flat surface of the lid member. A line reel apparatus includes an apparatus housing having a fixed housing portion and a rotating housing portion adjacent to the fixed housing portion. A pin magnet is provided on the rotating housing portion. A drive mechanism drivingly engages the rotating housing portion for rotation. A catch pin housing is disposed for rotation in the rotating housing portion. A line annulus is formed between the catch pin housing and the rotating housing portion. A catch pin cavity is provided in the catch pin housing. The catch pin cavity is disposed in aligned or registering relationship to the pin magnet along a longitudinal axis of the rotating housing portion. A magnetic catch pin is disposed in the catch pin cavity and positional between a retracted position clearing the line annulus and an extended position spanning the line annulus upon alignment of the pin magnet with the catch pin cavity responsive to rotation of the rotating housing portion. A bias mechanism biases the catch pin in the retracted position in the catch pin cavity. A spool is provided in the rotating housing portion and a line is wound on the spool and extends through the line annulus from the rotating housing portion.

A rotor for a spinning reel for fishing, includes a cylindrical portion, a first rotor arm, a second rotor arm and a reinforcement portion. The cylindrical portion has a rear end opening that is open. The first rotor arm extends forward from an outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion and configured to couple to a first bail support portion including a line roller. The second rotor arm is at a position opposing the first rotor arm, extending forward from the outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion, and configured to couple to a second bail support portion holding an end of a bail that extends from the first bail support portion. The reinforcement portion has a wall portion that is thicker than a surrounding portion, and is disposed on an inner peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion in a position at which the first rotor arm is disposed.
